A very meaty burger and very filling. Service was outstanding and a very friendly and efficient server. A great place to eat. Mayo for my burger came in a squeeze bottle, so I was able to customize my mayo. A nice touch.

Fantastic breakfast today! I had the mushroom swiss omelet, add bacon, and hash browns. And a side of their homemade corned beef hash. My friend had scrambled eggs with corned beef hash, side of country potatoes. My doggie had a hamburger patty. Deeee-lish! The service was excellent. Food was hot. Everything was awesome!

My absolute favorite dinner. Such a hidden gem with wonderful portions of food . The Hash Browns are so good and you get a mound full . The waitress's are so sweet and attentive. Been here a couple times and always look forward to going back .

The Yelp page does not do this place justice. The photos are horrible. I was dreading coming in expecting powdered eggs and microwave bacon but to my surprise... THE FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD! I started eating before I realized I should probably get some pictures and post a review to help this place out. So apologies for the bites. We got simple two egg breakfast. The English muffin came perfectly buttered for me which I thought was nice. The bacon is fresh and so are the eggs! They have a choice of home potatoes or hash browns and both were very good! Would recommend if you're looking for a good, simple, but delicious breakfast or brunch!

By far the best OMELETTE in Santa Rosa. I come here a lot and every-time I'm here it just keeps getting better and better. Today I had to resort to Yelp to let others know how amazing this hidden gem truly is. Janet is always my server when I'm here and has to be one of the sweetest woman to ever serve me. Everytime I'm here she is very attentive and the guest and regulars that come here just adore her. Thank you for all your hard work it doesn't go unnoticed, I can feel your genuine nature from the second we walk in. Chef your food is outstanding thank you for always preparing a fresh plate your breakfast has to be the best here in Santa Rosa. Great environment awesome food and such a nice team here of employees I'm blown away with your little gem here. My omelette today was so good!! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat and great service. Been a foodie for years this place truly deserves 5 stars and a round of applause. Thanks Village Cafe!! You all rock!

The queso fundido is generous with a good amount of chorizo. It's now served with hot corn tortillas. The elote is still one of our favorites with a nice spiciness and la crema. Our waiter was very attentive and professional, and overall we were pleased with our experience. We ordered: Menudo: This comes with a pork hock and loooooots of tripas. My limes were a bit dry, but aside from that the flavor was very spot on and it was very filling. Tres leches french toast: Yummmmm, delicious! I'm not sure how 'tres leches'-y it was, but definitely milky, moist, and crunchy on the outside. It worked for me! Conchas: Ok this actually blew me away. I'm used to conchas being dry and not very satisfying, but these literally stayed soft DAYS after I brought them home. The souffle topping on top covered the entire top of the concha and this was an absolute delight. Honestly, best conchas I've had in the US so far. I wouldn't mind coming here again and trying other items. Personally, the loudness of the "birthday music" (reggaeton) was a little much for a morning/brunch hour, but people seemed to enjoy the hype.

My boyfriend and I ordered wine, the artichoke dip, mussels, tagliatelle, 1/2 chicken, and bread pudding. There was a good variety of wine to choose from and the waitress was nice enough to give me a couple samples before ordering a full glass. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! It wasn't as sweet / cinnamon-y as other bread puddings that I've had, but was moist without being soggy and felt like a true homemade recipe. The ambiance was casual yet intimate, and despite being busy, didn't feel crowded or loud. We also appreciated that the wait staff didn't rush us out!

This is a place that has perfected serving up tried and true favorites and don't mess with stuff that isn't broken. My bf ordered pancakes, bacon and eggs. I had my piece-meal "vegan special": side of (dry) toast, side of avocado, side of hashbrowns, and a fruit cup. The service was super friendly and FAST; the diner was bustling, noisy and smelled of all things breakfast. You can tell looking around that people "know" this spot and have been coming here forever. A great place for breakfast with a quick turn-around time. There are no vegan-specific items on the menu but something can be cobbled together without the server seeming judgey about it.
