Tasty food served with a bad attitude. It is too bad because I really liked the food. I can no longer deal with the bad attitude of Lisa, one of the co-owners. Several weeks ago, they made my wife and I wait for over 2 hours for two pizza slices. I did what I was supposed to do, I called in the order, tell them I'm waiting outside. After 15 minutes, no call. I drove home to use the rest room. After 30 minutes, I drove to a competitor, walked in and purchased two pizza slices, no waiting. Two hours later, Lisa sheepishly called me to tell me that my two slices were ready. I berated her about the wait and explained that I already got some dinner and I was no longer interested in ordering food from her establishment. She was apologetic and told me that she would like to keep my business and would give me a $5 credit to be used next time. Okay so I give benefit of the doubt. Few days ago, I go in to order two more slices. When I inquired about the credit, Lisa again gave the bad attitude. I expect bad attitude from Ed Debevic, but not here. In addition, none of the FOOD PREP workers were using PPE. NO MASKS, NO GLOVES, NO SOCIAL DISTANCING. Furthermore, I saw one of the workers pull his shirt over his face to sneeze or cough (I guess better than spraying aerosols into the food). Alright, first of all, let me say that the South Berwyn and Stickney area has no shortage of options when it comes to pizza. I've tried just about every joint around the neighborhood, and each has their own unique flavor and style. That said, when it comes to thin 'n crispy crust, Villa Nova is the place to call. They lay on the ingredients thick here. The one topping that truly stands out is their sausage. Pair it with spinach, or mushrooms, or green peppers and onion, all are fresh and delicious. No matter what your favorite combo is, those huge tasty morsels of sausage are still the main star. I'm fairly certain that they use 100% whole milk mozzarella which adds richness and just the right amount of grease, but also ties this whole party for your tastebuds together! Ordered a pizza from Villanova I was told it will be ready in 50 min. Don't come in till it's ready I waited 50 min. When I arrived to pick up the pizza was told I was supposed to wait for a phone call hung around for 15 minutes still was not ready told them I was canceling my order and leaving. I grew up eating this pizza. I decided to dine in when I arrived for pick up and good thing I did - instead of driving 25 minutes home to find my pizza not cooked properly. Dough was not done. Center was uncooked! I ordered mushrooms and 2 other veggies on it - and it was overly smothered in mushrooms. Had to sit in dining room and wait another ten to fifteen minutes for them to bake it. I already waited 30 minutes for pick up. Young children making and cooking pizza- with s manager near by who heard my situation and didn't say one word to me. Unacceptable! And furthermore stay away from their slices - they are thin as paper and undercooked.I had to wait another time for one slice because they said it fell apart when they heated the first one. 1 star for the service, but 4 stars for the pizza. We have been going here for over 15 years, and over the last several years, the attitudes of the phone workers have gotten terrible. I overlooked it for the last few years because I love the pizza, but after today, no more. I just canceled my order after a girl on the phone who gave tore us a new butthole for asking for extra sauce and a pizza box (instead of pizza in the bag). My husband called back and canceled the order, when he started talking about WHY we were canceling our order and going to another place, she said "whatever" and hung up on us. There are many other places in the area that have good pizza where the employees AND owsners have GOOD attitudes. (Lou Malnati's in Lagrange, great butter crust pizza, Paisans - nice sweet sauce and you can order extra thin crust, J.C's Pub in McCook, IL great pizza all the way around) I will not tolerate verbal abuse for a pizza. Horrible customer service experience. Placed my order for delivery, per the website, that the manager claims she doesn't have. I live in cicero. Get a call back after my credit card has been run, stating that they don't deliver to me and that they voided my debit card. I spoke to a manager who got ignorant on the phone with me, swearing saying the f word that the girl on the phone was new and it was a mistake. Fine mistake great..train your people better. Don't post on a website that you deliver to cicero, but then say only up to 16th st after the fact. You lost business and that money best be in my account. Let me say again that I'm really picky about my pizza. And, I'll add that I went here because I was told it was for those weirdo who do not like Chicago style pizza. The crust is great. I love it. It's the right texture, not too thin (I wouldn't say like a cracker crust), not too thick, not mushy, a little texture, it's wonderful. The cheese is lumpy and slides off the pizza, along with all the toppings. When you make a pizza with thin crust, you really should put the toppings on top of the pizza. It seemed like they used canned mushrooms and the onions have not tasted fresh. I am going to keep searching for that great pizza. read more

Always comes out amazing and it is always consistent. This is the best pizza, it's cracker thin and crispy and the toppings are perfect and evenly distributed. They really take pride in their product, the meatballs are also phenomenal. I order from here all the time it's worth a drive if you don't live close. read more

Absoultely the BEST thin-crust pizza I have EVER had. Others pale in comparison. The other crusts they offer are okay, but the thin-crust is transcendant. My favorite is pepperoni with extra cheese. My wfie loves the sausage (and she's picky about Italian sausage - she prefers to make her own!). The kids love just plain cheese (with extra cheese), and it's my second favorite. Delivery is fairly quick, but you can save 15-20 minutes (and a tip) by picking it up. read more

Best pizza ever! I've been getting Villa Nova pizza since I was a kid and I still love it every time. Thin crust with sausage is my personal fav. We always ask for small pieces of sausage and it's perfect. They have the best sauce hands down. Their mostacolli and meatballs is delicious too. Yes there are better, but had this pizza growing up and traveled here to have it again. On occasion still have to have it just for the memories. Somehow it is different then back in the day....slices are now larger. When I was waiting for the pizza the employees were watching some kind of comedy show on TV where the volume was blasting with F this, F you, F whomever over and over and over. This is not the Villa Nova I remember in the past. Oh....and they should clean the place up a bit, infact it's nasty, when waiting just look around....clean the dust clinging to the grease of ceiling fixtures, an old tv as well as broken tiles all over. I'd give them 5 stars if their customer service was at par with the quality of pizza. The pizza is great, if you can get them to take your order correctly. If and when they get my order right, it's the best pizza around. However, on several occasions now I've asked for my usual (sausage mushroom well done) and its had extra ingredients I did not ask for. Some Onions to be exact, and I do not like onions. Other times they have failed to make it well done as ordered. So, I dont know what you need to do to get your order right, but maybe make them repeat it back to you several times to get it right. To top it off, it was the "manager" who screwed up my order. So who do I complain to??? Good luck guys! Great pizza! read more

Some of the best pizza around. It's super thin, so if you're looking for something with substance, you won't get it here. Taste, however, you will get. I've heard good things about the Italian sausage, but my favorite toppings are: tomato, onion and pineapple. Sounds gross, but tastes fantastic. read more

Best thin crust pizza in Chicago-land. They recently added fresh mushrooms to their ingredients list. That is a winner!

The pizza is fine, but don't you dare try anything else off their menu. Tonight I ordered a family-sized sausage pizza, mozzarella sticks and french fries, and not only was my order a half-hour late, but everything but the pizza was cold and undercooked. The french fries were the worst; they were honest to god about two minutes removed from coming out of the freezer. Look, I know this is a pizza place, first and foremost, but it's no insane challenge to deep fry some cheese sticks and french fries. If anything, it proves the people working there are careless enough to give their customers food so poorly cooked, it could get them sick. I would have called to get my money back or have them do it again, but I didn't want to wait another 90 minutes to eat. One star, and that is being generous. read more

Forget what people tell you about quintessential Chicago-style pizza. Cracker crust is just as unique to Chicago as deep-dish, and Villa Nova has the best cracker crust pizza that I've ever had. For inexpensive pizza for delivery, Villa Nova is my spot. They have really delicious thin crust pizza, however they can be a bit slow. The spot is BYOB if you want to eat at the restaurant, but the atmosphere is not too inviting or nice, to be honest. This review is more solely critiquing the 'za, and it is fantastic. They have the best FRESH mushroom pizza, and I am not a fan of mushrooms. The regular mushrooms they have there taste like homeless people feet, but my god, the fresh and next level type stuff. The sausage they have at Villa Nova is also quite great and not overpowering to the overall flavor of the pizza. Definitely a must have for game day. read more
