While in Turlock for work I visited Villa Napoli as I was wanting an Italian dinner from a local owner. I am so happy that I chose Villa Napoli! My first visit I selected the Chicken and Cheese Ravioli and was definitely satisfied. The staff was courteous and dish was fantastic. I even had to try the cheesecake which was presented nicely and tasted fantastic. I had such a great experience on my first visit, that I returned before leaving the area. I have been dining in Turlock for over 20 years and was never aware this restaurant existed. It wasn't until a recommendation from a friend that I decided to give Villa Napoli a try. This quant little restaurant is so small that if you blink while you drive down Geer road, you will miss it. I am so glad that I did not miss it. Interior decor is cozy and warm. Not fancy, but not a dive either. The staff here is very friendly and well versed in their menu options. My waiter Charles made recommendations based upon my input. His recommendations were spot on. I tried the Tortellini Romana which was excellent. The sauce was creamy, the tortellini cooked perfectly, and the dish had excellent flavor. Portion size was good. The bread I was served on my first visit was hot and fresh. I have since dined here many times and the bread is not always fresh. That would be my only peeve with this place. Service has always been excellent. Every time that I have dined here, I have been greeted with open arms, a friendly smile, and appreciation that I am their customer. This is what customer service is all about. Villa Napoli has now become a staple for me whenever I am visiting Turlock. I have highly recommended it to a few friends and they now frequent Villa Napoli too. Hopefully you will enjoy this place as much as I do. read more

We wanted to love this place but it was very disappointing. First off, it was sooooo hot that I almost passed out. It was very uncomfortable for everyone at our table. . Second, we got charged for double the amount for the EXACT same portions on the pasta hub menu and the entree. When we told the server that the portions were the EXACT same, he said they weren't, but they were. Served in the exact same size bowls as well. Such a rip off. Bathrooms were all out of toilet seat covers and not very clean. Just an overall disappointing experience. read more

Now that many of our local restaurants are re-opening for dine-in service post COVID-19 closures, my husband and I are so excited to visit some of our favorites once again! We decided to go to Villa Napoli for our date night. It had been months since we last dined here and we forgot how much we enjoyed it! We usually order the same entrees because we love them so! The lasagna is my husband's go-to and my fave is the gnocchi. This time we decided to branch out and try something new. My husband ordered penne with a sausage sauce and I selected the pasta carbonara. Both dishes were so tasty! The carbona was absolutely decadent. Needless to say, I could not finish my meal, but I was super happy to take the rest home for lunch the next day! The sweet owner Sonny, came by our table several times to visit with us. He is so kind and always makes a point of saying hello and chatting with us when we visit. He has done a wonderful job decorating the cozy sized space and creating a very delicious menu of offerings. Wow. Such a great little treasure. The atmosphere is very nice. Our host/waiter was very personable and attentive. The food was fantastic. The rolls are homemade, and you can tell. I had the linguini carbonara, and it was the best I've ever had anywhere. The meatball trio was a real treat. Three meatballs, in marinara, Alfredo, and creamy pesto. For dessert, the tiramisu. We got it to go, but I ate half before we left. It too was the best I can remember ever having. This is, hand down, my new favorite Italian restaurant. I can't wait to go back. read more

The bruschetta was store bought for sure and was on their soft rolls (which were also store bought). The first time I went here the food and atmosphere were amazing. The second time the fresh made bread was replaced with Costco focaccia bread ( they didn't even bother to slice or warm it). This time..... ooooooffff just look at the pictures. Would you eat that? Also it looks like we already started eating it. But we hadn't... that's how the food came. Small portions bad flavor. Whoever bought this place is going to run it into the ground. Servings were small, but it didn't even matter because the flavor was completely unacceptable, worse than a frozen meal. I am giving this restaurant four stars because the service was great. Everybody was very attentive. The atmosphere was nice very small, but nice food however, I would probably Rate that a three or less. We ordered the meat ball flight. I would have to say that was really good meatballs could have been a bit bigger they were fairly small. Definitely in northern Italy small not a Sicilian big . My husband had the Fettuccini Alla Bolognese , It is quite a thin sauce, than I have tried and did not have a a lot of flavor a bit on the watery side for our liking. It definitely rolled off the pasta. I had the Carbonara, the sauce was tasty. However, the bacon or pancetta that they used was extremely fatty. It was like every bite was just gristle, which to me was totally disgusting. I barely ate any because every bite I was taking out of my mouth the gristle, took my leftovers home. Thought I would try to scoop through the noodles still disgusting. It was almost like they took Costco baking bits put them in the microwave and then added them to the pasta. My son had the fettuccine àlla Salamone. He even stated the sauce was not very good. For an Italian restaurant. The sauces need much better flavoring. I'm not really sure how it got. 4.6 stars. The bread was very dry and over cooked. It was almost like eating a biscuit and gravy type Roll not what I expected for Italian restaurant, probably would not be back.
