I ordered a pie and asked for it cooked through but please not well done. It was. He t and cold after 1.25 hours waiting and when I Called& the girl told me it wasn't cold and the pie wasn't well done when it left the restaurant. Horrible service and food quality over the last my month. The final straw? See the pictures where they stomped on the food and left it out in the rain. "Rang the bell" once, no call, no knock, manager didn't even get on the phone to apologize. We were not only frequent customers, but also hefty tippers. I shouldnt have to ask for a refund. I shouldnt have to ask for you to remake the order. I shouldnt have to demand you pick up the garbage you dropped on my front steps. I've never had such a terrible experience in my life. Not only was the food undercooked, the employee who goes by the name "John" I believe was incredibly disrespectful. I ordered food, being a heavier set woman, and he proceeded to look me up and down and laugh. He then proceeded to whisper "fucking fatass" to his coworkers thinking I couldn't hear him, but I certainly did. He handed me my food and I honestly think he spit in it and was very close to calling the police. It tasted terribly, Never coming back and would not recommend. read more

The pizza is good for the area. However we are in NJ, pizza should be perfect. I've gotten various food dishes from them over the year. They are OK. Nothing to rave about, I am not a food critic but I've ordered things like grilled chicken breast ... the breast is frozen. Why would I spend money day for a grilled chicken breast salad if the meat was frozen? I expect fresh chicken breast. For Sparta, the place is a 5 star pizza Place. Why? Because there isn't really anything worth the prices that are charged usually. As far as pie, they do make a pretty good Grandmas Pie. The service is fast and polite. read more

This is maybe a 3-3.5 star pizza but I'm rounding up for the area. I would put it in the top 3 pizza places in town (not that the bar is that high). The pizza was pretty good - a thinner crust, kind of like boardwalk-style pizza but the slices aren't as huge. The pepperoni they use are the little circles that turn into delicious crispy cups of oil. The crust has some flavor, and the cheese is good as well. Overall, I'd consider come back for the pretty good pizza. read more

I will never order there again. Ordered the buffalo chicken pizza in March. When it arrived, I was surprised to see that the crust was 3-4 inches of the pizza. Literally, no toppings, cheese or sauce for at least 3-4 inches. Figuring they must have hired a new employee who had no clue what they were doing making a pizza, I called and talked to the manager. To my surprise, he told me that he made the pizza, "that's how they make pizzas" and that he was "proud of his pizza". After arguing a little about the proper way to make a pizza, he offered me a refund on the pizza and I accepted. However, I just received my statement and he did not refund the poorly made pizza as he said he would. If you want customers to return, I suggest you get a new Manager and leave pizza making to the professionals. read more

Been ordering out or dining in here for over 10 years and this place has remained my staple. BBQ chicken pizza is done to perfection here. There really isn't a better place in Sparta or Sussex county, in my opinion. Truely baffled at these negative reviews, they hire highschool kids to do the waitstaff and delivery so I guess you could get a bad egg once in a while but who's gonna hold that against them? I personally think it's good they give local kids the opportunity to work there. I've also never had any issue with bugs in my food but I don't order salad from pizza places so.... Interestingly, I have lived in the area several years and always went to other pizza joints rather than this one. However, since trying this place 3x in the last two months, I've been happy with what I have ordered. First, this place has NY-style pizza - it's solid and not much different than others in the area. I have had meatball, pineapple and plain cheese, and they were all very good. The main differentiator for this place is the fact that they also serve cluck u style wings! Besides a facelift, the food can be hit or miss. Sometimes you can tell effort went into the meal and other times it looks like the food is leftover and recooked like the veal and eggplant. They allow too many small kids to get wild and extremely loud so you never know if you will enjoy the place or get aggravated by the time you leave. It was a much better go to place before mid, 2018 when they opened their new restaurant in Franklin. It's a shame the owners don't put in the same effort. read more

Pizza is always undercooked. Don't ever get veggies on his pizzas they are always a wet gross mess. The hot wings here are the biggest wings I've ever seen ( hormone treated chicken bought from a shady food prevayor) and they are always always always soggy and never crispy and fresh. 2/5 Eat here if you like cheese pizza. Literally every single order takes a minimum of 2 hours to arrive, ALWAYS. It is never good, we will absolutely never order here ever again. Anthony Franco's is the best option if your in Sparta and want delivery within 45 minutes!!! This place has zero customer service!!!! Last night I placed an on line order for delivery from this restaurant. The delivery came 45 minutes later than requested; the Crispy Chix Salad was ordered without onions and without croutons but came loaded with both; the MTBL PARM Sub was ordered with extra sauce on the side and with bacon --- came with neither; I paid for the order with a credit card on line for a total of $12.75 plus tax of $.88 plus $3.50 tip for a total of $17.13. The young man who delivered the order asked for $12.00. I told him I had paid on line INCLUDING a tip. Soooooo, why I am taking my time to write this review? Perhaps it may help them to recognize a need to tighten up their process for online ordering or to get out of the business. I have had a slice or two every once in a while in this place but the experience of this weekend motivated me to write about my experience. The waitress was full of attitude and rude. Slices were about half the size of what I would get anywhere else and tasted worse than any pizza I ever had in the area. There is no shortage of pizza in Sparta. I like villa capri. It is no NY city pizza, but for north NJ it is very good. This is going to sound ridicules but about a month age my husband and I went to every pizza place in Sparta and got 1 slice. This amounts to 6 slices of pizza. Villa was the best. Crispy crust, proper amount of cheese, good sauce. Two of the other places ranked in the worst pizza in my life. No matter how bad pizza is, I do not give bad reviews. This is because pizza is one of the foods that can spark long and passionate debates. I can not even tell were in NYC the best pizza is because I have like 3 places. Okay - so I've waited a day to gather my thoughts and relax as I was upset when I left...this has always been one of my favorite places to go - with the whole family! The waitress was very sweet but basically lacked training and so the service made me upset. The food was decent but not utterly delicious like I've experienced before here..my family ate the meat lovers pizza, the stromboli and few separate slices on a nice Sunday afternoon to celebrate my daughter coming home from her confirmation retreat. So this is the summary: Pros - cheap (~$30 for 4 people dining), no wait other than pizza baking Cons - I despise paper plates when being waited on - if the silverware isn't plastic than don't offer paper plates. The waitress never bused our table nor came to box food/check if we were done after 25mins and NO ONE ELSE in the restaurant, we literally were the only table - meanwhile the owner was seated in a booth watching football...now I'm not trying to be a jerk, but when you sit that long after you're finished eating you notice these things. So I brought our Pizza tray to the front counter and asked for our check. Suggestions - fully train each waitress/waiter, as an owner, visit the tables once in a while and ask patrons how their experience is when you have free moments...I'm just dissapoinnted and it'll be a while before I return :( read more

Great sauce and a fantastic Sicilian, maybe the best in the area but I'm not done trying more. Garlic knots are great, service is good and there's always parking. Not my personal fave, but won't argue with you if it's yours. read more

My family and I order from Villa often, both take out and eat in. I am always satisfied with the meal. The prices are very fair too. Service is fast. Barbecue chicken and buffalo chicken pizzas are great. They have good white pizza with ricotta and vegetables too. There are always a variety of slices available if you are looking to get something quickly. I love their cheesesteak with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Its inexpensive and filling. The grilled chicken salad has always been fresh. While their dinner entrees are not always fabulous, they are solid. I would recommend their eggplant or chicken parmigiana over their chicken francese (good, but not great). All the staff are friendly. Villa has never disappointed. read more

Sparta has a lot of great pizzerias but this has moved its way to the top of my list! They have awesome specialty pies...my favorite is the loaded potato skin pizza. French fries, bacon, ranch, and cheese...you can't go wrong. read more

This place used to be great. Went for eat-in tonight and me and my family sat there for over 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Waitress passed by no less than 3 times and didn't give us a menu or anything. Only three other tables full, not busy. Left without eating and got served immediately at Anthony Franco's. We had Villa Capri 2 a month ago while at a birthday party and thought the pizza tasted similar to what one would find on the boardwalk. Fast-forward to tonight. We ordered the penne vodka with chicken, eggplant rollatini, garlic cheesy bread, a side of meatballs, sausage and sautéed vegetables. Talk about delicious! The entrees reminded me of what would be served at a 5-star Italian restaurant. The meatballs were some of the best we've ever had! In addition, their homemade marinara was spectacular. Everything else was delicious. We've found our new favorite pizza/Italian food place right here in Sparta. Highly recommended!! read more

Just ordered a chicken parm panini and a Sicilian slice. Understanding that it was delivered however, the pizza is over cooked and dry. It needs way more sauce and not so crunchy. The panini again dry, needs more sauce. Also hard to bite into I bite and the chicken stays. The chicken itself is juicy and flavorful. I don't think I'll be eating from here again. read more
