Enjoyed a nice lunch here. We sat in one of the booths which was very roomy & enjoyed some bread that came with a delish dipping oil, some cheese, & chopped olives. My husband got the small Stewie salad that came chock full of goodies. I enjoyed the coconut shrimp. Waitress was fabulous. We plan to come back for dinner.

Cool vibes when you enter. Casual pick up on the right, and waiter service on the left dining room area. Vaulted ceilings. But flies everywhere inside. Nice service. Bland pizza. It was very late when we came Saturday night so maybe that's why.

Used to be our go to pizza place in Sparta but here is a good example of why we go other places now. We thought we would give it another try since we haven't been back in a while. We ordered the kids chicken bites and fries. The chicken bites are literally 4 very small pieces of Popcorn Chicken and a handful of french fries. I understand that costs are up but don't gouge the guests. $72 dollars for 3 kid chicken bites, a boardwalk wrap and two soups is a little aggressive.

Wow. I was not expecting such amazing service from what I thought was a typical pizza shop! I love the vibe and overall dining experience in the restaurant. The complimentary bread platter was so delicious, and the options are endless. Our waitress was also amazing! Calamari was deliciously crispy with a perfect amount of tentacle pieces. The drunken grandma slice was simple and sweet. The lobster bisque was deliciously creamy. The Caesar salad and eggplant slices were a little weird since the toppings were meant to be cold, however still good! I can't wait to try everything on this menu. YUMMMM.

A mouthwatering mushroom pie from Pizza One.

We have been to Pizza One twice now since their grand opening this summer in Sparta. Both times we have ordered pizzas (plain and mushroom) and garlic knots. The pizza is fantastic and has now become one of our go-to's for take out. The garlic knots are a great appetizer and served with a delicious marinara sauce. They do now have some seating outside right in front. Thank you again, Pizza One, for making my fiancé's birthday night with another awesome mushroom pie. We can't wait to be back when you're finally open inside.

I love the convenience of the kiosk ordering. Service was very quick, and everyone on staff was so kind and helpful. I was blown away by their gluten-free menu. They offer gluten-free buns for burgers and sandwiches, gluten-free crispy chicken, and even gluten-free desserts. I tried the Turtle Pie and the Lemon Raspberry Pie--both were delicious, but the Turtle Pie was truly to die for. This was hands down one of the best burgers and fries I've ever had. Gluten-free bread can really make or break a meal, and this place does it right. The gluten-free bun tasted fresh and delicious, the burger itself was incredibly juicy and flavorful, and the basil aioli was insanely good. I also ordered their specialty Cherry Cream Cola, and it was so good that I had to get a second one. It tasted like a fresh, sweet Cherry Coke and was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. I sat outside and brought my dog, and one of the staff members even came out with a bowl of water for him. Such a thoughtful touch that made us feel so welcome. It being dog-friendly is definitely a huge bonus for me. Amazing food, wonderful service, and one of the best gluten-free experiences I've had. I can't wait to come back!

***2 1/2 stars***…read more Maybe I'm just not into the concept of smash burgers, but I really didn't get the hype with this one. This was a special request from my top-tier chum from the Kingdom of Sussex, who'd been eyeing up this place for months and petitioned to come here after our NJ Bookstore Crawl adventures last weekend (I wanted to go to the only guaranteed high quality eating establishment in the Kingdom, Farmer's Daughter in Newton but was overruled by the home crowd). I'd heard some decent buzz about it myself and am always up for trying something that looks edgier than the average bear in Sussex, so off we went (even though I had a BBQ later in the day that basically had all of the food that was provided at this establishment - that's on me for sure). The entrance was a little hard to figure out; initially we went to the front of the building but there wasn't an obvious entryway and we belatedly figured out it was on the side. Some extra signage in that regard could go a long way, but not the biggest deal. We got inside, and that's what matters. Very clean and spacious, with some Western/patriotic themes; I can always get down with some longhorn displays and whatnot. The business model/ordering system is a little odd in that it almost offers too many methods, if that makes sense. It seemed like you could get normal table service, but there was also a counter where I think you could place a normal order, or a kiosk at the front to do so, OR a QR code at the table. Lot going on, and ambivalent on what to make of it overall - I guess it's better to have more options in theory, but I thought it was unnecessarily chaotic/confusing. We opted for the scanning of the QR code at the table, which was fine. My chum didn't realize you could tilt the QR display to get a better angle for your phone, but I'm certainly not going to blame Burger and Butcher for that 10 seconds of chaos. By far our biggest issue was the price point. Neither one of us is averse to spending money when the situation arises, but this was pretty egregious to the point where it really tainted the whole experience. We both got a burger and split an order of fries. That was the meal. Now, full disclosure, we got the "better" burger, the Waygu, which was 4 ounces and $15. Not worth it. I think part of is the smash burger of it all, but I definitely didn't notice the allegedly higher quality cattle involved, and I got it plain so no condiments to distract the palate from the essence of the bovine. I would 100% just go for the cheaper burger here, which is $10. The accompanying fries were fine (some were squishier than others, and those found their way closer to my chum for her consumption) but cost a separate $8. It reminded me of Zinburger, which probably isn't around anymore because they constantly gauged you with additional costs for sides like this. And THIS was wild - if you wanted ketchup? No problem. If you wanted literally any other sauce featured on the menu, just a little container of it? At least an extra $2. At a certain point, it's less about the price and more about the principle. And again - nothing we had was significantly better than what you'd get at Five Guys or Smashburger and for the price it should be. The staff was perfectly nice and since this is basically higher-end fast food, our meals came within five or 10 minutes. Fine on that front. But if I want to spend $30 for a burger and side (which is what this came down to, including tip)? I'm just going to go to a nicer, sit-down restaurant with more options and better food. Disappointing and I hope they really reconsider the pricing structure because in this inflationary environment, you're alienating potential customers before they even get to sample the animals.

Being from NY, there are no Jersey Mike's near me and initially I thought this was a standalone business, but found out later it's a chain. For NYers like me, think more Blimpie than Subway - but this was overall better than both in my opinion. Inside is clean, spacious, and the staff were very friendly. They have a nice line system from cutting of the meat and bread, to dressing it to the cashier. That was 4 staff members and all 4 were friendly. I ordered my usual roast beef sub. Bread was soft and fresh and the finished sub was just fine. Roast beef was fresh also, which is important to me. If I had a complaint, it would be the prices. They're a little steeper than they should be. A traditional deli is actually cheaper for the same, if not better, offerings. Parking lot is spacious and finding a spot should be no issues and it shares the space with other businesses. While I go to a traditional deli for a hero, an option like this when there is no decent deli is also nice. Obviously because of where I live, it's doubtful I'd run into too many Jersey Mike's locations unless I happen to pass one while in another area - but it was good enough to where it's an option for me now if in the area, whether this one or another one.

I wanted to share my disappointment regarding a catered order…read more I was given the attached veggie sandwich option, and honestly, it was extremely underwhelming. The sandwich consisted primarily of several slices of Swiss cheese and a few pieces of green pepper on bread, with very little effort put into making it feel like a complete or thoughtful meal. I understand that catering orders can vary, but this was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to let others know. Receiving a sandwich that looked this sparse and unbalanced felt more like an afterthought than a quality meal from a company with Jersey Mike's reputation. I hope you will share this feedback with the appropriate team so that future orders are given the same care and quality as other sandwiches on the menu.
