We were seated quickly and Anthony, our server, stopped by right away with menus, a bottle of water and glasses, and a tray of bread, olive oil, olives, and cheese. We hoovered up everything that he'd brought to us- the bread was fantastic. I mean- wow.... seriously good bread! We both ordered a pasta dish, I got linguine with bolognese sauce, my wife ordered a seafood penne dish. She had originally opted for the lobster mac and cheese- but they were sold out... :-( Being from Queens and transplanted to NJ as a kid, I'm very pasta savvy. The linguine was perfectly cooked- just a little bite. The Bolognese sauce was also on-point. So many NJ pizzerias think that mashing up a meatball and adding it to a ladle of sauce is ok.... This was the real deal. Both plates had huge portions, as well. We were both slightly disappointed- no bread, no spoon, no cheese. Anthony made his way back to the table and rectified those issues. More of that fabulous bread, ha ha! Look- I can absolutely say that i'll be back. Food was good... Place was nice...

The ambiance was very relaxed and the service was quick and helpful. Our order were specialty slices of chicken/shredded spinach/cheese/balsamic glaze and a Chicken Francaise slice. If you're in the Sparta area, do not hesitate to enjoy a meal at Pizza One. If that's too out of the way, there are other locations in Wayne, NJ, and in Scarsdale, NY.

The Industrial Revolution is no more. But you can enjoy a piece of history at Industry Kitchen &…read moreBar in Sparta, NJ with its deep collection of industrial decor and artifacts. This is more than throwing a bunch of junk on the walls (like the original TGI Fridays). Rather, the decor has been carefully curated with items from real factories. Take a moment before or after your meal to stroll the restaurant and explore the private dining rooms. I particularly loved the steel plate bar top made of Bethlehem Steel product, and an old working roulette wheel. The food was outstanding and generously portioned. The fried mozzarella appetizer served atop pomodoro and pesto sauce was gargantuan and delicious. You could easily share this appetizer among two people. The Beet salad was fresh and delicious with its golden beets and walnuts. For the entree, I enjoyed Cherry Pepper Pappardelle, a colorful and delicious entree that hit all the right notes. On the beverage side, an array of industrial-themed cocktails was on offer. I opted for the "American A.F." - an Old-Fashioned riff using FEW American Whiskey, Widow Jane Paradigm Rye, cherry vanilla simple syrup, and angostura bitters. It was a fantastic cocktail! For dessert, we enjoyed the sorbet - a generously portioned duo of lemon and raspberry sorbet. I also indulged in a delicious cup of Cappuccino. Rocco was an excellent server. Attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable, and fun. The food and drinks were fairly priced. I definitely will return! Suggestion to management - consider adding more vegan/vegetarian options to the menu.

After seeing a social media post featuring the restaurant's unique industrial décor and checking…read morethe menu online beforehand, my dining companion and I made the drive up from Morristown for a 7pm Saturday dinner. We expected a moderately upscale atmosphere - with $15 cocktails and entrees ranging from $32 for pasta up to $48 for a strip steak - and we dressed accordingly. Upon our arrival at Industry, it quickly became clear that the dining room leans much more casual than we anticipated. Before even walking in to the restaurant, I passed a gentleman sitting on the curb in front of the entrance to the restaurant in a tank top, shorts, and Crocs sandals on an animated phone call. Inside, most guests were similarly dressed in t-shirts and shorts. To top it off, a diner at a neighboring table surreptitiously used a vape pen throughout her meal. I don't mean to sound overly critical of what might pass for moderately upscale dining in Sussex County, but there is definitely a noticeable disconnect between the high culinary ambitions and prices on the menu and the actual day-to-day environment in the dining room. That disconnect is a shame because we really liked the decor in the open, airy space as well as what the kitchen is trying to do here. It's obvious that they genuinely know what they're doing in the back of the house.. but the front of the house isn't as disciplined. We started with the unique Watermelon and Feta salad ($18) -- an innovative appetizer where the watermelon is vacuum-sealed to force-feed it a mildly spicy chimichurri marinade, and it was flat-out excellent. For the main course, I really enjoyed the Cherry Pepper Pappardelle ($34), cooked to a perfect al dente and loaded with sweet Italian sausage and broccolini although for my preferences, the garlic and white wine vinegar sauce could have used a little more kick. My dining companion wanted something lighter and opted for the Tuna Tartare Tacos ($23) -- four crispy wonton shells stuffed with a surprisingly generous portion of sushi-grade tuna, seaweed salad, guacamole, and harissa mayo -- and she loved them. As for the beverage program, it was... well, no pun intended, a bit mixed. My dining companion really enjoyed her Loose Screw ($15), a crisp and refreshing concoction of limoncello, mint, prosecco, and club soda. On the other hand, I was unimpressed with the American A.F. ($15), a blend of FEW American Whiskey, Widow Jane Paradigm Rye, cherry vanilla simple syrup, and Angostura bitters, which ended up tasting fairly uninspired when compared to a regular Old Fashioned. Our server, Christina, was fantastic -- friendly, hyper-aware of my dietary restriction, and spot-on with her recommendations. The kitchen's speed, however, was another story. Despite the dining room being less than half full, our starter took nearly 30 minutes to make an appearance, and another 20-25 minutes elapsed after we finished before our entrees joined the party. At the end of the day, I really respect the vision and execution coming out of the kitchen, and Christina's service was top-notch. That said, I'd give it a 3.5 star rating -- rounded down to 3 stars given the glacier-like pacing and the surreal gap between high-end menu prices and a lax (vape-friendly, even) vibe, as the execution on the floor just doesn't match what the kitchen is working so hard to achieve. If I'm in the area.. I'd give it another shot with a more grounded expectation. Pro Tip: If you're looking for a location to host an event, Industry has two private dining rooms on the main floor and a larger space downstairs available for larger groups.

I really wanted to love this place since i thought it was going to be a cute local ramen shop. But…read morei was a little disappointed to be honest. I ordered 3 short rib ramens for my family. Ive tried so many ramen shops both in northern jersey as well as japan so i am well acquanted with the different types of ramen. I was a little disappointed to see that there was really no ramen variety. When i came and asked about the special, the shop was out so i was basically forced to buy 3 shoyu ramens. (Usually theres a choice of shio, miso, shoyu but there was no option for those here) Unfortunately, the "ramen" thats served here also does not taste like ramen at all. The soup base was actually quite bland and did not have the signature shoyu taste. The use of cabbages and carrots were not something i expected in my ramen either. I think if these were advertised as a noodle soup that would be more acceptable, but to say that it was ramen was a stretch. However, the egg was perfectly cooked and the noodles themselves were good. My family also ordered the buns which were a bit cold and soggy at the bottom. Overall the service was excellent and friendly so I give this a few stars. While I really wanted this to be my favorite local ramen shop, i was quite disappointed with the "ramen" taste. However, if you dont expect that familiar taste then maybe this is the place for you.

Went here with a group of six after a family party. We went on a Saturday night and were able to be…read moreseated quickly. The place looks very quaint from the outside. Inside the place has a western or settlers theme (mixed in with a bit of random clutter and lots of dog photos). There was also live music which was great. For appetizers we got the guac (very fresh - recommend), wings (also quite good with a little crisp to them), and the frontier onion (which was just okay, a little more done than I would have liked, with a bit of an odd signature sauce). For dinner I had the rodeo chicken and I highly recommend it. It was very tasty. As a side note, I had ordered Russian dressing for my salad and what came was not Russian so I'd avoid that if you're a fan. It was mostly ketchup. I will say that service felt a little slow (for instance getting the check) and if you've read any of my other reviews you may know I also have a pet peeve about being without a drink for too long and I felt it took too long to fill waters. Also our table was a little sticky and I'm not sure why and don't really want to think about it too much. All that being said, I'd go again. It wasn't a bad experience and the entrees were quite good.
