Highly disappointing, unethical & disrespectful - I would strongly recommend to others to look elsewhere for moving services after our horrible experience with Paul & Taran. The crew that packed & cleaned out our home left huge holes in walls, broke furniture, & left a significant amount of furniture & belongings behind. Taran (the supervisor) was informed by the lead for the crew & did nothing to pro active correct the issues - instead choosing to ignore it & be annoyed when we discovered it. Move in day was slightly better however even after personally speaking with the owner, Paul, about our experience, they knowingly delivered furniture broken beyond repair & simply said nothing. Picture frames were broken, scratches left in things. The owner Paul displayed severely unethical practices when he literally delivered an unusable desk to me & acknowledged to us that he was aware it was beyond repair. Yet chose to have his crew wrap it up & deliver it without a word. A pack of true Vikings would have done a better job. read more

Just finished with a speedy and completely worry free move with Viking! These guys were recommended by our realtor and I'm very glad we went with them. Every aspect of this move (from JP to Concord) was fast, friendly and efficient (to steal a phrase from Suzan C.). We took estimates from three companies but Taran at Viking was the only one who took the time to come to our apartment and scope it out in person. He even knew the owner of the house we were moving to in Concord (it's a pretty small town) and he set up a time to do a dry run of our driveway since it is pretty tricky for a truck to navigate! On moving day, the three man crew showed up on time and were total pros. They checked in with us on everything and were cheerful the whole time. At the end, the price was right on target. Not really much else to say but give Viking a call if you're thinking of moving! You'll be glad you did. read more

WoW I can't say how wonderful everyone is at Viking from beginning to end they just simply were the best. I have moved in the past few years from Boston to AZ then to FL. And this company by far was the best movers I've seen. Caring and kind for your valuables helping you out when you get to your destination is just unbelievable. I had something wrong with one of my bed rails they sent someone right out to fix it. I'm older now and the respect that they give you and the fun they have doing their job makes you feel at ease. I had a 5 man crew from Lunenburg to Littleton and they made me just sit back and relax and they would do anything I wanted . Now who do you know in the moving business that their so caring that they give you a hug. I mean really the best. I initially had a positive experience working with the team. Taran was reasonably responsible, Giovanni and his moving team was efficient and flexible, and the price was fair. However, the day we moved, we found a broken part, which I notified Taran about and he asked me to tell him about any further damage after we've fully unpacked. So I waited, which took more than the 15 days on the policy, because we have two young kids and I work more than fully time. I wasn't aware of the time sensitive nature of reporting damage, and Taran didn't remind me. Now they won't honor the claim. Moving companies are a dime a dozen, and I thought I found a local company with quality service and fair pricing and policies. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. read more

This review is for Viking's customer service - the movers themselves were fast and efficient so that was fine. There was a misunderstanding about the cost but rather then explain to me why this has to be that way and offer any incentive to call them again, Taran was short and rude on the phone, with frankly a rather belligerent tone. I judge a company by how they deal with unhappy customers (no matter the reason) and in this case it wasn't good. Zero stars for the company, one star for the movers themselves. read more

We have just completed our third residential move with Viking Moving Services of Acton MA. Once again the service was exceptional, and we thought it was high time to share our perceptions on behalf of other prospective movers. Viking has moved us from Concord to Lincoln and back to Concord, and also - twice - moved furniture, books and art from and to our storage facility in Tewksbury. In all these multi-day, multi-stage major moves, only one small piece of furniture was dinged and within a matter of days Viking came and took it, had it restored, and promptly returned it looking new. As everyone knows, moving is extremely stressful. Viking reduces the stress level to about zero. From the first appointment to assess the goods and the process of the move, Viking people arrive right on time every time, they assess carefully and precisely, they propose multiple structures for the days of the move, and they invariably come to accurate and efficient bids. Packing days are always careful and thoughtful with the movers asking many questions about how and where to place and label things for the new location, and they wrap quickly and meticulously and safely. Moving days are always flawless and timely: first, a very careful and thoughtful loading of the vans, and then a strategic unloading of boxes and furniture in such a way that unboxing and re-assembling of furniture is optimal, sensible and straightforward. Finally, we appreciate working with tidy, friendly, kind people, and Viking's staff more than meet the bill! They are responsive, experienced, supportive and careful. What more could one want when it is time to a move?! We would HIGHLY recommend Viking to anyone considering a move in this area. read more

I just finished up a move and I used Viking Moving and Storage out of Concord. Earlier this month I contacted Viking Moving for a quote and was quickly contacted by Taran Oleary. I scheduled an appointment for Taran to come out and provide me with a no obligation quote. What made Viking much different than the other moving company quotes was the fact he had the quote to me within a few hours, yes a few hours. All the other moving companies said they would have the quotes to me within a day or so when in fact it took several days some almost a week. Moving day finally came, the guys showed up with two trucks, 1 with a VOD and quickly got to work. They were beyond professional, courteous and very easy to talk too. The best part is they did not complain about having to move some stuff up a short hill in my side yard. The movers were work horses and didn't stop until they were done. Our previous experience with hiring a moving company was terrible, they showed up late, spent half their time in our bathroom, stole prescribed medication from our linen closet and best of all did nothing but complain the entire time. My husband and I needed to move to Texas because that is where the military told us to go. We called Viking Moving and they told us they would ship our furniture and it would arrive in a couple days down to Texas. We are going on 3.5 weeks and have yet to receive our furniture. We would call them 2 times a week and every time we call them, we get told a different thing. First it will come in a couple days, then 5-14 days, then last week in June, and now next week. They lie to you and nothing adds up. Do not use this company. I have never experienced anything like this. read more
