We were in Hawaii for 9 days and had acai bowls at Island Vintage Coffee, and the Four Seasons Ko Olina, and the bowl at The Break was by far our favorite. The granola in the bowl is the star--sweet and very crunchy, lots of finely chopped nuts. I wish I got the recipe. On a whim, we got it with a scoop of peanut butter and it was a total game changer. Now, we will always order acai bowls with peanut butter, as it pairs so well with the fruit and granola. In addition to the acai bowl, the spam musubi was another favorite. If you come early in the morning (I believe before 8) there's also a complimentary coffee and tea stand. For dinner, we ordered several dishes and shared. A standout was the poke bowl, which came with a lot of greens. Texturally, it was a great dish. Everyone left full and happy. And, the staff were so friendly too. Eunice was very helpful in the mornings. Lastly, by Four Seasons standards, the food was "reasonably" priced. For example, the acai bowl here was almost half the cost of the bowl at Ko Olina.

The hub had ahi donburi which was good but had only three tbsp of rice. Definitely healthy Dinner was excellent. Fish is prepared well both the catch of the day and salmon. But no side dishes come with so gotta order separately. MIL got the mushroom tobanyaki which was delicious but it's a lotta mushrooms so make sure you LOVE mushrooms if you're gonna get this. And order a side of rice to eat with it. The hamachi app was fine pretty much exactly what you expect. The shiitake salad was excellent. Green beans and cauliflower sides fine. Got mushrooms too. Guess we love mushrooms. The best was the dessert - some kind of melon balls and semifreddo balls and rice tuile. Super light and refreshing and delicious! Nevertheless, we're glad we tried it. The chopped salad was fine, but nothing special. Fortunately, the rest of the meal was excellent. The orecchiete pasta was a favorite among the group. The tagliatelle was also strong, and I liked the texture of the pasta. I'm someone who would never normally order a steak at a restaurant, but the beef dish was my favorite. So tender and flavorful. Lastly, the pizza was solid. Next time, I would order with different toppings, but the crust was good--slightly crispy. The service was also excellent. Our Ohana and family friends have been eating here for years. They serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. If you're looking for a place to have a small gathering or celebration, they do catering and had a small party near our table (we were told to be quiet during a prayer for that party which we respectfully did). Our family of 7 ordered a variety of food. My nephew is Vegan and there was a Veggie Stir Fry he ordered with Tofu. My Brother in Law who is on the pickier side and likes it "simple" got Beef Teriyaki with Macaroni Salad. And my mom and niece love their Filipino food so mom ordered a Tamarind Soup with Shrimp and Vegetables called Sinigang and my niece ordered a Peanut Sauce dish called Kare Kare. My dad, sister and I stick to our favorites. He got his usual Baby Back Ribs (which I didn't get to picture), my sister got Sautéed Mahi Mahi with Lemon Caper Sauce and I got my usual Local Favorites Combo that had the most tender and savory Beef Teriyaki and crispy Mahi Mahi with Tartar Sauce on a bed of Cabbage. From the outside it look like fine dining but it's a takeout place. Service is a bit timely but I just think because there was a big order they needed to fulfill before mine. To me, Lana'i is a small laidback town so I don't expect anything rushed here. Anyway, food is delicious and plenty! I'm stuffed lol
