Very busy on a Wednesday night for dinner. Very nice interior and friendly staff. Was seated after a brief 5 minute wait. Food came out relatively quickly and was tasty. The whole menu was very overpriced though, relatively speaking for Philly. $20 for a com tam dish and $11 for cha gio is just robbery in this market. There are way too many other good Viet restaurants in Philly with fair pricing for me to come back here again.

Food was delicious. It's a comforting Vietnamese spot with a modern twist. Not like the usual places like Chinatown or Washington Ave. Service was great and staff was very friendly.

I wasn't expecting the place to be so open and airy when I walked in. It was beautiful and I knew right away that I was going to have a great experience. The staff was friendly. Service was amazing and the food was simply outstanding. I don't think I would change a thing. I'll be back. Oh, and did I mention that the price is fair. Right on point with quality. Perfect 10

I love it here. This place is so clean, fresh, and everything is great; the food is delicious. The drinks are wonderful. The people are very nice, and the service is good. It's spacious, and the whole ambiance is really nice, elegant, and very welcoming. Everything is tasty and freshly made. 10000/10 its Me & my Daughter my favorite spot.

Stopped by here as was intrigued by the exterior and Est 1984. The ambiance and service is wonderful and the food delicious. We got a small Bun Bo Hue, a sizzling beef and a the Vietnamese ravioli. Among these, the ravioli was my favorite but all three dishes were excellent. I loved the interior design, it has the charm and grandeur of the old school Asian American restaurants that you may find in Manhattan or Philadelphia.

This West Philly restaurant was a go-to when I used to be around this area. The location has good service, and a low key nice decor inside. The service is pretty quick overall. My most distinct memories of this place are the revolutionary crispy spring rolls. I don't know if I'll ever have spring rolls as great anywhere else. They're large, crispy, flavorful, juicy, and just everything I ever wanted in a spring roll. Because of that, they are served not only as an appetizer, but you can enjoy them over some cold vermicelli noodles with a light sauce, a delightful meal. The tofu curry is also decent, though definitely on the milder side, and a bit more on the watery side. I am vegetarian, but I have also heard the pho here is good!

The lot right next door was great for parking. All and all the food was great and would say the one fish curry stole the show. The tempora shrimp was good too!

Decent food and friendly service in a nice, spacious restaurant setting. I honestly had higher hopes for the food (maybe too high), but maybe we ordered the wrong things? My stewed beef noodle soup was good but the noodles were slightly overcooked. I like that they had small and large size options for the noodle soups, and a small was plenty for me. The crispy vegetarian spring rolls were wonderfully crisp, but a tiny bit bland, except that the sauce they came with was super salty and not the flavor profile I expected (still decent, though, just had to dip carefully--maybe they have a different sauce for vegetarian vs not?). My husband's fried tofu vermicelli bowl was fine, kinda basic and a bit light on the veggies. I'd be happy to go back and try other things, but probably only if I'm in the area already.

Love the decorations at the restaurant! A decent crowd on Friday night, it was about 15 mins wait for the table, but you can always grab a drink at the bar while you are waiting. Thy got a pretty big menu, I am sure you can always find something you like, the menu is also available online. Service was quick and friendly, it was a pretty satisfying portion for the food, the spring rolls were tasty and cut up in proper size. The broth of the noodles soup was flavorful. Also highly recommend their salt and pepper shrimp, simply delicious.

I've visited twice and will keep coming back. Everything I've tried has been delicious and seems made with TLC. I found plenty of free parking. Beautiful atmosphere. Friendly staff. Excellent variety on the food & drink menu.

Came back ten years later and sadly, it was not as good as I remembered but still decent! I wouldn't recommend the seafood noodle soup (the veggies/toppings were all previously frozen) but the beef pho and the fried pork spring rolls were good!

Beef pho is consistently excellent and served quickly in giant and affordable portions. Photo speaks for itself.

Flavor galore! After a few take out/ delivery orders of Vietnam cafe, I finally took the plunge and dined in for lunch. The ambiance is traditional with nice floor to ceiling windows and a view of the bamboo stalks they planted outside; very much of a vibe. The menu is plentiful and there are options for all sorts of food/dietary restrictions ( vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian). Between my table, we had a small wonton noodle soup, lemon grass pork chops and the crispy duck. My personal favorite was the pork chops, which were very reminiscent of short ribs. Also tasted the Vietnamese coffee but got the condensed milk on the side. Thick and sweet, yum yum!

Pho 75 - Still My Favorite Bowl of Pho in Philly!…read more I've tried quite a few Vietnamese restaurants around Philadelphia, but I always find myself coming back to Pho 75. There's just something about their pho that keeps me hooked! Pho reminds me of Mom's homemade Italian gravy or chicken soup. The ingredients may be similar, but everyone's technique, spices, and little touches make their recipe special. And of course, everyone's taste buds are different! One thing to know before you go: Pho is pretty much ALL they serve! Don't expect fried rice, spring rolls, or a big menu of Vietnamese dishes. They specialize in pho, with plenty of beef combinations and chicken pho, too. I love a place that focuses on one thing and does it really well! The broth is rich, fragrant, and piping hot, with wonderful spices like star anise, cinnamon, and cloves. My favorites are the rare beef and brisket, and those Vietnamese meatballs are delicious! The thinly sliced beef is tender, and the hot broth cooks the rare beef right in your bowl. Yum! Add fresh bean sprouts, Thai basil, jalapeños, a squeeze of lime, and maybe a little Sriracha or hoisin sauce. I always taste the broth first because it's already so flavorful! And one thing I really appreciate? They don't chop up the rice noodles! I love those long noodles! Grab some with your chopsticks, add a little meat and veggies to your spoon, and dip everything into that wonderful broth. Getting all those flavors together in one bite is the best part! A few tips before you go: Bring cash because they don't take credit cards, and the ATM fees can be steep. The parking lot can get a little crazy, but don't let that scare you away! Service is superfast. Just indicate how many people are in your party when you walk in. With so many combinations, you might want to check out the menu beforehand. Your steaming bowl of pho usually arrives within minutes! It's a no-frills place. No fancy atmosphere or bar, just hot tea, coconut juice, sodas, and seriously good pho. Pay at the counter when you're done. For me, it's one of those places where I know exactly what I'm craving and exactly where to go to get it. Still my favorite bowl of pho in the Philly area, and I'll keep coming back!

My partner and I absolutely love Cafe Diem!!! It's our go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner…read more We might be a little biased, but the food is always served to perfection. The space is small, but the service is quick, so you can easily get in and out within an hour. We always leave happy and satisfied. Our go to order is a small & large order of the Bun Bo Hue. Large order of Banh cuon. And drink.

Cuisine: 8 Service: 6…read moreDecor: 6 Value: 9 Overall: 8 NOTE: CASH ONLY According to locals, the two best Bun Bo Hue restaurants in Philly are Cafe Diem and Cafe Nhan. I have been to both locations in the past, but decided to compare them back to back on my recent trip to determine the champ, once and for all. Cafe Diem is a small restaurant full of slightly older patrons, mostly Vietnamese. Menu is limited to a few items, with Bun Bo Hue being the focus. Let's start with the soup. As soon as I took a sip, I immediately tasted a hint of spice and then followed by some sweetness. The broth was light, clean, and not much taste of lemongrass or shrimp paste. I do think it is very good, but I definitely preferred the stronger depth of flavor at Cafe Nahn. There was a lot of meat, most noticeably the huge pork foot, some beef slices, two slices of ham, and some tendon. The beef (shank) was awesome and tendon were awesome and slightly better than Cafe Nhan. However, the pork foot needs to be cooked longer since it wasn't tender enough. Ham had zero flavor and negligible. I would give the meats a push. Noodles is where Cafe Diem shined for me. Though both are super smooth, with a great chew. I felt that this version was slightly softer and not as dense. This is nitpicking, but I could eat more of this rice noodle. Veggies plate had bean sprouts, mint, and lime. Both places were fresh, so it's a tie here as well. One more thing of note is that Cafe Diem does serve a larger portion for a lesser price ($16) versus Cafe Nhan ($19). Pricing as of 10/24/2026. With that said, both Bun Bo Hue will fill most people up easily. Maybe that will affect some people's choice, so I wanted to point that out. Overall, the soup is the most important part of the dish for me, and there was a gap. Not as much in the meats or noodles. Therefore, Cafe Nhan wins! Btw, the Vietnamese Ice Coffee here is slightly burnt and bitter. It needs a hint more condense milk for creaminess and sweetness.

Man I knew this place was too good to be true …read more. Yes one thing I can say it has going for it is the decor .. and maybe the drinks ... but it all changes from there ... Service was slow and had to flag a server down to get some type of service even thought they were not that busy .. The viet coffee was good but their "spicy lemonade" was mehhh ... Summer rolls were good but the peanut sauce was very watery and salty... used to it being thicker and a lil kick which it was not .. The chicken salad was interesting and not sure how I feel about it ... it was shredded up chicken which was dry and needed more of the fish sauce vinegaret. The pho broth was good and the ox tail was good and tender in it but the pho noodles was your basic store bought noods which was disappointing ... The braised port was basically pieces of Xa Xieu similar the the red pork you see hanging in the window of a Chinese joint next to a Peking duck ... there was no caramelization and meat was chewy as fuk and not fatty like other places or in some of the pics that were posted ... the sauce was super sweet also and mini banh mi it came with were like the mini dinner rolls you can find at like a Super Market. Would I be back ?? Not sure... Highly disappointed by a place with such high reviews
