He quickly got up into the attic to probe further. Then got on the phone with another technician about a weird heat sensor discovered in the ceiling. I really appreciated that he would ask peers for expert advice instead of pretending he had seen it before. So humble and helpful! He persisted through the issue and fixed it! He left his cell in case anything came up with his repairs. Very good experience and would hire again!

Finally came back in and said it would be $415 to connect this cable because oh they were also gonna do some cleanup in the panel which wasn't required wasn't needed and it was just nonsense to increase the price so of course I'm not gonna pay $415 for 10 minute job therefore I just lost a $99 and ended up just doing it myself - don't ever hire AJ Long - It's such a rip off.

Made the call to Fairfax Cooling and Heating. Receptionist was incredibly friendly and was able to schedule me for the next morning, and offered me a new customer discount for the service call, which was significantly cheaper than other companies I spoke with. Michael called and gave a 30 mins heads up before he arrived. Took a look at both systems in my house, thoroughly walked me through each system and answered every question I had. He fixed the hot zones I had in my master bedroom, and explained how to best leverage my existing systems to maximize air flow throughout the house to make it more comfortable. He also provided some future recommendations on upgrades once I'm ready. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly and honest HVAC company.

We wanted to bring in our own HVAC engineer instead of using the other contractor's HVAC person they were getting an updated bid from. As Jay Krafft's company was stuck in the middle, dependent on the timing of the other contractor, his team's schedule got moved around several times. Not only did he show up after hours to provide us an immediate quote, he accommodated all the schedule changes, and his team performed the job without a hitch. Jay Krafft was also a great communicator throughout this process and he super helped to reduce the stress of the situation. Krafft Service Corporation is an outstanding HVAC company that we highly recommend! We are so grateful for his and his team's support. They went well above and beyond normal situations/expectations!

Very much appreciated. Once the quote was accepted, they sourced the HVAC and installed it within 2 days. The install team were exceptional, Scott, Brandon and Conor. Worked together seamlessly, harmoniously and efficiently in an incredibly small HVAC closet. It was no easy task removing the old HVAC, but their professional knowledge base was more than adequate to address every issue they encountered. Installing the new HVAC onto the old cradle was no easy matter either. But again their teamwork and problem solving was superlative. Scott is a superb team leader and teacher, based on my observations. Obviously, they were careful when handling the heavy unit, and did no damage whatsoever, unlike earlier technicians we have had service us. For great pricing, prompt response, excellent communications, great problem-solving during installation, and overall peace of mind in all our dealings, we strongly recommend considering Krafft whenever service in needed.

I got four bids on the replacement of my 2 residential HVAC units. Mannix's representative, Mr…read more Kapur, was the most impressive and well-informed among those coming to my home. He suggested a method that would save me cost and aggravation in the installation process (viz., the closet housing one of the units had a narrow opening and some other estimators wanted to rip out the door frame, which Mr. Kapur determined was unnecessary.) The pricing of replacement HVACs was competitive and the installation crew was respectful, hard-working and very competent, finishing all of the project in under one day. I am very satisfied with everything Mannix did on my property.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Mannix Heating & Cooling. I contacted the…read morecompany regarding an Aprilaire humidifier recall because my humidifier was not working. As a homeowner, I don't know whether the issue is the recalled electrode, the humidifier itself, the wiring, or the HVAC controls. That's exactly why I hired an HVAC company--to diagnose the problem. Instead, technician Silvio Guerrero immediately stated there would be two separate charges before inspecting a single component. I even suggested we set the recall aside and simply use the visit to diagnose why my humidifier wasn't working. Rather than inspecting anything or explaining what the charges covered, he repeatedly said, "It's two charges," stated he was very busy with other service calls and didn't have time to deal with this, told me to call the office, suggested I hire another company, and left. My HVAC system itself is brand new and working perfectly. My humidifier, however, is wired into the HVAC control board. I was not asking for an HVAC repair--I was asking for my humidifier to be diagnosed. If checking the HVAC control board as part of diagnosing the humidifier required an additional charge, that should have been explained after inspecting the system. Instead, the moment the discussion involved the HVAC control board, it seemed to automatically become a separate charge without anyone even looking at the equipment. What made the experience even worse was management's response. Instead of listening to my concerns, I was told I was "argumentative" and accused of "double dipping." That accusation was both unfair and insulting. I never asked for free work or refused to pay for legitimate diagnostics. I simply expected the technician to inspect the problem, explain what he found, identify what was covered by the recall, explain any additional charges, and then let me decide how to proceed. This entire experience reflected poor communication, impatience, and a lack of professionalism from both the technician and management. Customers deserve a proper diagnosis and a clear explanation before being asked to authorize additional charges--not assumptions, accusations, and a technician who walks away without inspecting the problem. I have completely lost confidence in Mannix Heating & Cooling and will never use this company again.
