Like most outlets, they are often crowded with people looking for bargains. When Brian,my SO is looking for clothes, I usually recommend this outlet stores because then I can go to Viejas casino. On this Memorial day, it was sunnier up in Alpine than it was in the Coastal area or at least by my hood, Mission Hills. We got to VO and it was pretty crowded since this was a holiday. It's proximity to the border also means a lot of shoppers. Although some bargains can be found, you have to put up with long lines and that is something I and Brian are not fans of. However, they are still fun to visit once in a while. read more

Went shopping today and found myself in a dead mall! I was excited to think of how good the customer service was going to be since no one was here. Here are the results of all of the stores. Brooks Brothers: We were greeted properly at the front door. I would have to say had an amazing customer service staff! I did notice that even though they had a sale of 50% off for the men's clothing and 60% off of the women's clothing, their prices were extremely overpriced. Reebok: I was not greeted at the door nor did I have anyone offer to assist me with shoes. I had to ask for assistance with finding a pair of booties to try the shoes on at which time the girl came over handed me the box of them and walked away. I am so glad that my man was there to assist me with reaching the boxes as well as helping me put them on. There was no where to sit down to try the shoes on. They did have an amazing sale on their sports shoes. BOGO I got two really cool pairs of shoes for a total of $43.07. Rue 21: We were greeted properly at the front door. They had great customer service because of Taylor. They had decent sale prices but their clothes are cheaply made and are not worth the money. Levi's: Peter, the service representative was amazing and extremely helpful. The store itself while clean had a very small selection. A whole store dedicated to pants and there were only three colors blue, black and white. I was disappointed because I really wanted to leave here with at least five pairs and I couldn't find one that I liked. Dressbarn: We were greeted properly and they even had a husband sitting section which was awesome! The quality looked great however, upon further inspection I noticed imperfect clothing with sewing errors. This is not how I want to spend $40.00 on a shirt. I did end up purchasing a purse from "Sales Assoc 99 ZSales" who was sweet and very personable. I had a bit of an asthma attack upon entering the store because of someones perfume. She was very concerned with me and made sure that all was well prior to me leaving the store.. Thanks! Guess Factory Store: We were not greeted properly upon store entrance. We did notice that everyone else was. I "guess" they were too busy to greet us (remember that the place was empty). We wandered around for about 10 minutes before I had to go and ask for help. We guessed they didn't care and left. Wilsons Leather Outlet: We were greeted properly upon entrance. Julie did an awesome job with taking the time to assist with finding what we were looking for. She took the time on explaining the differences between the coats we were interested in. We will be back to make that purchase. Nautica: We were greeted properly at the door and the staff was friendly. Over priced but nice stuff. Nike: We were greeted properly at the door and the store staff was available to assist us once we went and requested for them to help. We did end up making a purchase from this store. Avalanche Board Shop: We were greeted properly upon store entrance. The employee was knowledgeable and friendly. This is a store we will be coming back to. Chico's: I was not properly greeted at the front door and after about five minutes of wandering around waiting for someone to greet me I left. The clothing in this store is for an older/professional woman. Coach: I was greeted properly upon entrance and handed an additional 30% coupon off of their products. I was not able to find what I was looking for and that is the only reason I didn't make a purchase in this store. Famous Footwear Outlet: We were greeted properly upon entrance. I was looking for cowboy boots. The employee took me to their selection however I was not able to find any with real leather. Sketchers: We were not greeted properly at the front door. Left after about 2 minutes. :-( I wanted to get shoes here but I am not going to beg for assistance. Vans: We were greeted properly upon entrance. The employee made sure to come and ask if we needed help. We did make a purchase at this store. Mini Golf: We did not attempt to go and play golf however, this has an automatic sprayer/mister which was amazing considering it was so hot. I kind of want to go back to play once day. Please forgive me for this being a novel! I wanted to make sure that I gave each business a chance to get my money. I have not been shopping in years for myself and was really looking forward to walking away with so many new clothes so that I could throw out the old ones in my closet. I was really disappointed for the most part! I know it sounds a bit harsh in certain areas in my review but when you work in a graveyard you should be welcoming the living with bells and whistles! read more

Very disappointed in the lake they have for an ice rink, kids are literally all soaked and wet from this mess. I would much rather make the drive to an indoor ice rink never again. So disappointed. read more

That is....make some Holiday memories What a great winter experience... it's actually freezing outside...so seriously... wear your jacket, gloves and scarf... Why not enjoy a white Christmas on the ice? The Viejas ice-rink has become a tradition four years in a row now...for me that is... (I do not recommend weekends.. the wait can be up to three hours to skate) so maybe go on a week night)... Anyways, park in the lot around the outlets, and find the ice rink.. located in the center, by Coach outlet, west of the water fountains display and food court. There is a skate rental office, go inside... 1) sign a waiver 2) pay for skating (you get an hour and a half of skate time) you are given a handy dandy wrist band.... $13 - Ages 12 & Under $15 - Adults & Teens 3) get your ice skates... I recommend the hockey skates for people whose ankles hurt while they skate.. 4) they have a bag check or you can leave your shoes under the chairs... Anyways... have fun, hold onto the wall if need be... 5) Skate around the rink to lighted trees and overhead lights that change colors to the music... it is very very fun... and many memories to be made... There is staff located on the ice and are there to help the little ones, even the adults if we shall fall.... Have fun.... read more

I WAS ON THE HUNT FOR THE ICE PRINCESS AND ALL ENDED UP ALL WET... So, I went all the way to Alpine (which I know is a drive but during this time of the year, it isn't too trafficky! I know that's not a word but I'm always down to make up my own words!) When you drive up to the outlet center, you automatically get the feeling of Christmas with all the decorations and music, (and cause it's FREAKIN cold in Alpine!). Plus, it really gets you in the mood as you walk up the the largest ice skating rink in San Diego! It's HUGE! From what I saw, (cause I don't ice skate and to watch me ice skate would be as hilarious as watching a new born giraffe try to walk- if you haven't seen that, you need to go and check out Animal Planet right now!) everyone who was ice skating had a great time and plus they say there is a time limit but I think whoever is running the time is very much in the Christmas spirit cause they always seem to give the ice skaters more time! If you want the Christmas feel while ice skating, you gotta make the drive to Viejas!! read more

When I was younger, I used to love coming here on my way home back to AZ. Shopping shopping shopping was what I had on my mind. Now years later, I have been here a couple of times and wonder what I loved about this shopping center in the first place... Not a wide variety of stores to shop at is problem numero uno. I do enjoy the Coach outlet, Guess outlet, PacSun, and Nine West stores... just don't find it worth the drive unless I am in the area already. I love the ambiance of this outlet. Probably one of the nicest outlet's I've been to. Walking around to each store is like going through a maze as if it were an adventure or something. Throughout the entire outlet, you'll see many different animal sculptures and descriptions about them which I find very interesting and cool. The stores are your typical outlets stores but I mainly go to the Nike outlet store and Coach store. Very cheap and reasonable prices but then again, some of the stores are just meh, prices are the same as the mall. It seems to me that the stores are limited compared to most outlets. Plenty of parking spaces and walking distance to the casino.There's also a bowling center and ice skating during the winter season. :) I would recommend this outlet to anyone! I think it would be nice on a sunny day! It closes at 8pm which is awesome to get all your shopping done. read more

Sad. This used to be my favorite shopping place. Stopped a few months ago returning from a camping trip in Cuyamaca. We went to the outer perimeter of the shopping outlet parking lot to park our 30 foot combined length of our Telluride and tiny trailer, only for security to tell us we couldn't park anywhere in the lot and to park at the RV park and take a shuttle back. I explained that we were going to buy clothes at Chico's and dine at the Italian restaurant, not stealthdock. Still a polite but, firm no. Sorry Chico's. I would have liked to buy the 5 outfits that I ordered online, from your store. You gals are always so helpful. read more

I really like this mall. It has some very nice stores. Lots of parking and what I love the most is the beautiful scenery throughout and the peaceful music! They also have a neat area where the water shoots out of the ground for the kids to play while the parents can sit around them in the shade. It's located right by the eateries which is very convenient. I can't wait to come back and tryout the roller skating rink and ice skating in the winter! read more

They have a splash pad!!! Heading down I-8 from San Diego with some sandy kids in the back seat? Keep them in their swim suits and let them loose in the Viejas outlets splash pad. Don't forget to bring a towel! The sand and salt will be washed away, along with their energy, and they'll sleep the rest of the way home. Nice public restrooms double as locker rooms in summer months and allow for a post splash change into dry clothes. Oh yes. They have outlet stores here as well. If it weren't for these, I'd award five stars for the free fun of the splash pad, but the presence of all these outlets can make the free fun quite expensive! read more

Adjacent to the Viejas complex this is quite a nice outdoor mall. Lots of shops, lots of shade and kids can play in the random fountain, so bring their trunks/suits. Prices lower than outside the reservation...literally, even at KFC. Beautiful landscaping and grounds. Non gamblers delight. My non-gambler wife was pleased to have this outlet right across from the casino. read more

One word: LOVE! I love going to this Outlet. Not just because it is literally next to the Viejas Casino, but because it is a very nice and clean park as well. It is very good for children especially in the summers where kids can plan in the middle of the Outlet with the walk in water fountain! Also, it has a lot of fast food and restaurants in the vicinity. It is most definitely a "must go-to" if you are looking for cheap items but one of those very well known or branded ones. They have stores that I like which are: Nike and Coach! Also, they have a lot of choices for cheap shoes in Nike. I was able to buy two pair of shoes for only $70! For me that's cheap already due to the fact that they're Nike and they're New! read more

Why do I love this open nature style mall....? Because it is serene and beautiful. It has won design awards. Also two words: Giant Sacred Oak Tree and the Bristlecone Pine that I built with my good friend in fifteen years ago. Awesome place with plenty to do. A group of 50 of us came by bus. Everyone at the Casino was friendly and helpful. Not to big but just the right size facility. I personally am not a gambler so to see a Spa, Bowling Lanes, Skating Rink, and a variety of stores at the Outlet makes this location a perfect place for everyone. We got some great deals at the outlet stores and I plan on booking a room for a family weekend getaway real soon! read more

I don't care if it's not 'the season', its 90 freaking degrees out at the very beginning of October and there's like 10 kids wanting to go in the water fountain. An exceptional customer experience would be to take into consideration your environment: San Diego heat in October every year.... look at it day by day rather than just roping it off after labor day. Also, speaking of management saying they have a season for things, its the beginning of October and your giant Christmas tree is already up? Really? Can we at least get through Halloween lol Besides those complaints, the shopping here is pretty good and I get a lot of great deals on kids clothes from Carter's and Osh Kosh. I did not shop in most of the outlet stores so I can only comment on the ones that I did visit. The stores are what they are, the prices are what they are. I found stuff that I wouldn't find somewhere else since I do not Mall shop very much. I sincerely wish the management would take care of the foul sewer smell that comes from the ground in the area of the food court. It is not an isolated incident. I visited several years ago and had the same issue with the smell. Not very appeasing to the senses. read more

First let me start off here is an Outlet I would say felt smaller then the others I go to . But It is well designed and really cool for taking pictures . As I arrive here . There are plenty of Parking !! So The parking is not bad here . Next I park my car and I head in to this outlet and there are really cool water falls around the Outlet that make it really cool to snap pictures also there is a Ice skating area for you to Ice Skate . The prices for Ice Skating here is 16 Dollars for Adult and 13 Dollars for Children !! And it is 16 Dollars for 1 and half hour of Ice Skating . I also notice the selection here for food is kind of small . Here is a list . They got a Subway , KFC , Rubios , and a few others . But the KFC is the most popular because it does not have a big food court . Here is a list of a couple of Big name stores here . They do got a Nike Clearance Store , Levi's Outlet , Guess Factory Store , Polo Ralph Lauren , Gap Outlet , Skechers , Vans , and A Famous Footwear . I do feel this outlet is smaller then the others . But I do come here just for The Nike Clearance Store . Also in the Middle of the Outlet you can enjoy the Dancing waters and relax to music and enjoy your KFC . There are plenty of chairs and Tables for you to sit . My overall experience is cool outlet and not much going on here . I for sure will return and Shop at The Nike Clearance store again . read more

Not bad, but not necessarily great. I think this is the overall opinion I have about all outlet center malls now. The clothing in the stores are cheaper than the mainline stores, but the selection is actually quite limited. I went into the Nike Center expecting an abundance of North Carolina baby blue stuff. They had very little beyond expensive shoes. Same with Reebok. The atmosphere outside the outlet stores is a different story. It's a nice place, clean, with some relaxing music running through the speakers that line the entire place. Parking's pretty good... if you have a handicapped placard like my parents do. You can walk from the outlet center to the casino across the street too, which is a benefit. read more

Other day we went out for my sisters birthday we went to the buffet and that so we decide to go out to some shopping I went to the Nike outlet store excellent service I have never had anybody be that much attention wen I buying something I love this guy was very attentive and very helpful I highly recommend you anybody never do you have to be $100 to 300 bucks for Nike shoes and clothing anymore you got to go to Vegas outlet to buy the stuff there ! This outlet used be so much better 15 years ago. Not sure why it has gone so downhill. Before Viejas remodeled, the casino was kinda dark and dingy. But the outlet was crowded. Now the Viejas casino is bright and shiny with beautiful hotel rooms and pools, and the outlets are deserted. The nike outlet is a clearance outlet. Kinda like the outlet for the outlets. There's a gap factory and coach, but not much else to look at. A third of the stores have become business offices for the viejas community. On the plus side, they do have an ice skating rink open during the winter, a bowling alley, and a bingo center. It's something to do to kill time, but not a destination point for shopping. I do love going to the Rocky Mountain chocolate factory to get my caramel apple with nuts. read more

I like Viejas Outlet; it is a pretty cool place to go to. It is owned by The Viejas Casino. But I'm giving a four star because they need to improve the place a little bit. They need to add more food choices. They also need to open more shops. When I went there last week it was half empty. A lot of closed stores. I been coming here since I was really little like 7 years old. And they had a lot of places. I remember they got rid of McDonald's, Candy Island, Coldstone Creamery, Nori Sushi Bar and more through the years I was coming here. But I love their Ice Rink, their show Court, their arcade, and their bowling alley. But all I need is for them to just add more stores and restaurants to the empty spaces. read more

Horrible customer service. Literally just left the store, got to the door at 5:57pm signs and website online said they close at 6pm the young man ran to the door to lock it and said we are closed I reminded him what time it was so he let me in. As I'm walking through the store to look around a rude young lady walks up to me and announces that the registers are closed I guess letting me know that even if I wanted to buy something that I would not be able to. I asked what time do you close because its not 6pm yet and the signs said you close at 6pm and its not 6pm. She proceeds to tell me that they actually close at 5:55pm and I said well you need to change all the signs on the door and website to reflect your 5:55pm closing time cause it isn't 6pm. I'm pretty sure the corporate office would not be in line with the employees making up closing times possibly interfering with their revenue. But judging by this review page the corporate office does not keep up with how the customer feels cause it's years of reviews about staff being rude and disappointment from customers. I never make reviews but I felt compelled because another unsatisfied patron that witnessed the incident approached me outside of the store to concur how rude the blonde haired worker was. I will be reporting this to the corporate office. read more

Pretty disappointed. The mall is nicely designed, and its a nice drive out of the city up into the mountains. But there is just nothing worth buying here, and few San Diegans actually come here. A few shops were empty or going out of business. The clientele pales in comparison to the shoppers at the Carlsbad outlets, where lots of San Diegians as well as tourists (including buses filled with wealthy tourists from Asia) go to shop. Here at Viejas, it seemed like most of the people milling around were locals and they were not spending money. It is a bit depressing to see such a nice mall completely devoid of good shopping and active shoppers. The people who work in the shops are listless and bored to death, as if they are working a government job. That says it all. read more

I'm not a big fan of outlets... I think that in most cases we are not getting as big of a deal as we think we are...nonetheless, we head out to these shops in search of a bargain. The Outlets at Viejas doesn't have too many good stores... there's a Nike, Reebok, Ralph Lauren, PacSun, and others but nothing major... there's more than shopping out there though... you can catch a concert or a movie, or just walk around the grounds and spend a few hours. read more

This is a super nice and classy outlet center shopping center that I have been too. I came here with some friends and walked around to did a little shopping. They seem to really have everything here which makes it pretty damn cool. They've got stores like Zales, Nike, Big Dog, Eddie Bauer, Fossil, GAP Outlet, Guess, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Vans, and MORE!!!! They have a wonderful little food court here and a nice beautiful outdoor seating area for the people eating their foods, or watching the little children run around and playing in the water fountain thing that they have going on. It's pretty awesome. Also, I'm not sure if they have it anymore, but they have a pretty cool night/water show that takes place around this area. read more

The only thing saving this from a one-star review is the ambiance there. It's a beautiful mall, and the multiple waterfalls & streams are really nice. Now, this is listed as an outlet mall, but come on...aside from the Gap outlet (where we got some good deals on kids clothes), every place we went was expensive as a normal retail mall. Maybe we missed the good deals somewhere? Worst of the bunch was Alpine Sportswear & Memorabilia, who actually snuck an extra dollar charge onto our purchase without us noticing. My wife thought that something was off when we got home, and since there was no itemized receipt, she did the math. Turns out it was exactly a dollar more than it should have been! Scum-move if I've ever seen one. Who does that?!? We live far enough away that we're just going to write it off as a loss, but we'll be damned if we don't tell everyone about it in the meantime. I feel like there's nothing here. There's never any people, maybe I just come at all the wrong times. My favorite thing about this mall is the beautiful scenery, weird animal statues and rue 21. The people who work in these stores just seem bored with life, so they stand there nonchalantly folding clothes but really following you with their eyes and listening to your conversion. Its really weird. Walking around here is nice because there scenery is beautiful, but it's probably the most lame mall in San Diego. I just wish there was another rue 21 closer so I didn't have to drive all the way out there. read more

The casino was okay. Only way to really win money is via tables. The outlet stores were sucky. Otherwise, it is a great location and the scenery transitioning from the casino to the outlets was BEAUTIFUL. Many stores were closed. The right side of the outlets looks like a ghost town. read more

My aunt wanted to come to the outlet mall at Viejas, so I drove her & my mom here. I haven't been here in a very, very long time. It is just so out of the way. Also I don't care for casinos. Also, I'm not one of those type of girls that likes to wander around the mall looking for "deals". I'm more of a directed shopper. Anyways, I saw yesterday that there really is no reason for me to come to this outlet mall at all. There are only a few stores. There really are no deals. The place is really empty. I'm actually surprised that this outlet mall is still here, but then again they probably just generate all of their revenue from their casino. The only good deal we got was the bag of 25 avocados for $5 along the road on our way to the outlet. They also don't allow dogs here. What kind of outdoor mall is not pet friendly? read more

I love this place 1st of all they have a place where the kids can get wet 11am-5pm, you NEED to have shoes or they will ask you to step out of the water area.2nd they have great deals and 3rd it's super clean .Great place to bring the family and know for sure that everyone will have fun. read more

Located across the Viejas Casino, the mall is nicely designed and structured, especially with the water pool and the nature theme - you can pretty much find statues of animals throughout. Compared to the a lot of other outlets, this one might be a bit boring as it is fairly small. Nonetheless, my shopping experience here was excellent. Parking was easy; the shops weren't always crowded with people; I could shop in comfort generally. I also love the fact that there are A LOT of XSs. Awesome place for petite shoppers! Here's a little descriptions of the few stores that I visited: Nike Store: One of my favorite stores in this outlet. I love this Nike Clearance Outlet! Great selections of items ranging from shoes to clothing to equipments. All at a discounted price with different sizes in abundance! I could even find new season shoes that are currently sold at department stores RIGHT HERE for HALF PRICE. I could also find some out-of-season-shoes being sold at as low as $20 per pair. Great customer service too :) Guess Factory Store: Again, love the availability of sizes and great customer service! I was carrying my items around and I was offered help 3+ times by different staffs to see if I needed to try them on. I was able to find items that were almost 90% off of its original price! There are a lot of hidden great finds in the store! Tommy Hilfinger: A very small stores compared to other Tommy Hilfinger Outlet stores, but great in-season products at a lower cost. There was also a 30-70% off sale and an additional 10% discount on the day I went! Woot Woot! They also have Wilson's Leather, Chico's, Gap, Coach, Vans...and much more! I didn't have a chance to go to those stores yet because I got there past noon, but I'll come back...maybe for Thanksgiving weekend. read more
