As you might expect, it was pricey, and no one mentioned it might not be what I wanted. When I realized, well, now it's opened, so would you like $9 back on your $90 purchase? I wouldn't call it a "scam" but I wish their staff was more forthcoming about selling games from another region. If you know to check everything closely before buying, this seems like a nice shop, but if you're less of an expert, you might want to shop somewhere with better buyer protection.

On top of the disappointment of not being able to find all of the games I came for, the service was terribly slow. There was one employee helping at least eight customers. I was at the front of the line and it took him about 20 minutes to get the game and "prepare" it for purchase. But yesterday, I went to Pandemonium w/ my husband and 2 sons. We went over to the Pokémon section, and I was amazed. First of all, I couldn't believe my older son, who's 8, totally held his own and knew what he was talking about asking to look at cards from different types of sets and versions of different values, etc. My youngest son, who's 6, was doing pretty well himself. But the thing that impressed me the most is that, the Pokémon guru, Trevor, did not talk down to my kids and try to scam them out of money. I don't know if it's because my husband and I were standing there, but all I saw were very professional transactions, ending with an official agreement-binding handshake. My husband and I were basically only there to show support towards their strong interest in something specific and would've only jumped in if things went completely sideways, but I got a feeling they would've been treated with the same respect if we weren't there, especially since my kids know what they're talking about. I'm so proud of them and so impressed with Trevor and the store in general that when my kids get older, I would be happy to drop them off for a couple of hours to battle with others while I go get some peace and quiet somewhere else.

I can't express enough gratitude for these people because 150 items does take a while and they helped me till the end like the champions they are! They even stayed open later to help me! I used to work in retail myself and I know how annoying that can be and they did it with a smile! They usually have a decent selection of games, but they also have way too much toy garbage like Funko Pops, when that space could be used for retro games. I mean the store is called Gamestop, not Toystop. If they replaced the toys with retro games they would be making much more money. The prices are good.
