I swear, there just isn't a video game store like Disc Replay! And the Livonia location is a legendary Pokémon! :) I purchased over 150 items from this store and the store manager Issac and the very helpful staff member Michael worked with me for hours and hours and hours until we were finished! I can't express enough gratitude for these people because 150 items does take a while and they helped me till the end like the champions they are! They even stayed open later to help me! I used to work in retail myself and I know how annoying that can be and they did it with a smile! Seriously, if you are looking for good service and excellent prices for video games this holiday season, then the Livonia Disc Replay location is your first, last, and only stop! :) P.S. But it does have a lot of issues minor though like how you can turn in something and they give you very little money for it. For example: you can turn in a wii and they will only give you 15$ for it. Waited at the front desk, four dudes visible, not one of them offered to help. I was seen by all four, ignored by all four. A toy fell from a shelf in front of one of the workers, I grabbed it and as I tried to hand it to the worker, he ignored me, turned around, and went in the back. I'm a pretty patient and understanding person, but they acted like I was a ghost in there. I gave two stars because they have a wide selection with somewhat fair prices, but this was the second time I came in here and got this treatment. Not going back. read more

The staff is amazing if they could just keep them there. But seems that every three months a whole new group of kids come in, and the old ones are gone. I get that it's a resale/retail store; but the turnover rate here is insanely high! The customer service experience here is so hit or miss, when you can never keep the same employees longer than a three-month span. And the very few that have stuck it out for a longer period look miserable when they have to retrain a whole new staff. I am guessing that's the reason for the increase of prices in the store is they have to cover training costs; which is passed down to the customer? Every time I have walked into the store, it is always busy with people from all walks of life. While the service was exceptional, the prices were fair, and the staff knowledgeable, my main takeaway is the compassion and love the staff shows to those born with a little bit less and who are special. Every time I walk in, there is usually at least one or two "angels" who come through during my visit and the staff really makes the extra effort to help in whatever way possible. It was my first time going to this location (used to go to the Flint location when I lived in the area) and I can say with great confidence that I'll be heading back here often. Let's start with the selection. In a word, WOW. I went in with low expectations. With just one visit I was able to find almost half of the bluray titles that were on my Amazon wish list. The real selling point here is that the prices for these used titles are far cheaper than Amazon AND eBay rates. The store itself is pretty clean and well-kept. This is my new go-to place for all forms of media. I'm not sure how long this place has been around, but I wish I would have found out about it sooner than I did. Tucked away in a strip mall (and ironically right next to GameStop), this place literally lines the walls with all sorts of used media. DVDs, video games (both retro and modern), and BLU RAYS. It's seriously so hard for me to find a place that sells a decent amount of used Blu Rays other than FYE, which I will never shop at again. This place has TONS of BluRays, and even more video games, and even MORE DVDs. If you're looking for a specific game or movie, you'll find it here. The prices are for the most part reasonable too. The most I've paid for a BluRay here is $15, and they consistently price lower than FYE, from $10 to $20 cheaper. All discs that I've bought have worked perfectly, and come in their original cases and bonus DVDs, with the exception of one, but they knocked a couple dollars off because of this. I can't comment on the staff too much, because the only time I've interacted with them is during checkout. But they seem friendly from what I've experienced, and you can tell they're passionate about media. The only reason this place loses a star is because a lot of the merchandise in the back of the store in the glass cabinets (this is where the retro games and "other" electronics resides, such as cell phones, headsets, keyboards, and other accessories) are overpriced. I noticed a lot of the Sega Genesis and N64 games were more expensive than I had paid for them at Play n Trade (another very similar store). The smartphones were basically what any other place would sell them for, and a few things, like an Apple TV, were priced higher used than what they sell for new in other stores. They definitely need to become more competitive if they want to get rid of some of these items that seem to be building up here and wasting space. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to buy used media. There is a ton to look at and you can easily get lost in nostalgia here. Just don't buy blindly and do some research to make sure you're not overpaying, and you'll be good! read more

Awesome gaming store. They have a huge selection of retro games (snes, n64, genesis, Atari etc.). There was also a large collection of systems when I went. There was literally a pile of various game boy versions. Everything was priced very fairly and the people working were extremely nice and knew what they were talking about. I live much closer to Destiny Games in Canton, but I'm going to start coming here instead. read more

Everytime I've gone here the employees are always extremely helpful, even when it's slammed an employee always assures me they'll be right with me. This place must do incredible business because it's almost always packed. They have an incredible selection of games and movies at fair prices. I would rate it a 5/5 but had to take a star away because sometimes they seem to be very short staffed and if you're selling it can sometimes take awhile for them to finally get to your stuff that you're selling, I've worked retail and I understand the stress of it being incredibly busy with very few workers so it's not their fault. Other than that great service and will always be a repeat customer. Hopefully they put the GameStop nearby out of business lol. read more

This place used to be amazing! Went in today to do a trade in and they placed my trade in on the floor, fought over who should check it all and ended up moving it out of sight. One of the employees was eating her snack with no mask on. No organization behind the counter. Two of the employees were messing around with a label maker instead of helping trade ins or purchases. When I asked for my trade in back they lied and told me they didn't know it was for trade. I was standing there the entire time. I don't know whose doing the training but these workers thought it was a high school hang out spot instead of a job. Please don't respond with your sorry about your experience. This comes after them selling me 2 fake DS games. They have no knowledge of these games and it's scary! read more

Really great staff & managers. In general they are friendly, easy going & and always helpful. All of my transactions here have been enjoyable. When I needed to change something in my purchase or needed to take time to think about it, instead of the stereotypical irritated retail attitude, I never felt rushed or anything like that while the employee waited for me. Genuinely, good people working there who work with whoever walks in the door. All that PLUS, they typically offer more for trade in credit OR cash than any other place I've found in the Metro-Detroit area. Huge selection of DVD's, Blurays and a truly large video game collection all systems new and old. Sold them a laptop, didn't get offered exactly what I wanted for it, the manager even told me upfront I would likely get more selling it myself online. BUT since I don't feel like dealing with that myself AND because of how enjoyable my experience was there I took there offer, which was only $20 less than what I wanted, and don't feel like I got ripped off or shorted. If they keep ALL that great stuff up I'll for sure keep coming back! They'll even stop what they're doing to just have a little chat even if your just browsing...
