I suspect this store is a front for illegal activity as it's the only plausible explanation for why it has remained in business for so many years with such a horrible business model and crappy customer experience. Sheisty is the one word I would use to describe this place. Prices are INSANE and an employee was actually debating me about if an extremely overpriced game was reasonably priced and got condescending when I pulled up pricecharting.com data to show that it was like 2.5x(!) more expensive than I could easily buy online. You will feel awkward as the employees closely watch you as you look around the store, and particularly if you look up prices on your phone. If ZERO stars were possible that's what I would put. Here's my story; I needed a ps3 controller. They had one for $49. Way too high of a price. Bought it anyway. I asked what the return policy was, lazy eye woman told me I'd get cash back if I returned in 24 hours or credit within 7 days. Brought back the controller first thing the next day. "I never said that" and proceeded to only give me in store credit. The store is cash only and has no signs telling you that. They suggest you use the atm then get the $3 off your purchase, definitely how money laundering works. Against my better judgment I went back a week later to use the credit. For a $69 ps5 camera. I had the $49 in credit and $5 for some sort of promo. Just for the lazy eye cashier to tell me I can only use one at a time. To top it off it feels like the someone died in there and the ghost lives in the aisles. If you're into really bad experiences this is the place for you! read more

I have been to a lot of video game stores and this is hands down the most scummy. For example they sell original xbox consoles for about $300 last time i was there. They usually sell for like $80 at most. -you need a membership just to enter the store -prices are already at least 50% more than market value -they raise the already marked prices of every single thing u bring to the register by 30% or more typically -they only take cash as payment -owners are very rude in all of the responses to the negative reviews instead of taking the criticism into consideration and trying to better their store. They really do have a crazy amount of high value items but that is only because they price them so high that no one in their right mind would be willing to buy them. If you notice every bad review says the exact same things that are wrong with the store. The owners really need to re-evaluate their policies and take responsibility for all the negative comments and create a new image or re-brand themselves read more

I am all for supporting brick and motor over eBay but when you're charging x4-x5 times the buy it now price on items that are in the same exact condition on eBay that's just downright stupid. This store is way overpriced. Like I could buy two of the same game off eBay and still come under the price of buying one at the store. My experience today was even worse. I was browsing around the store and noticed a game in the front case for Nintendo switch. It was a limited run game, meaning the store bought it for $35 when it was released. Yes, it was already sold out on limited runs site, so they had it listed at $60. I thought that was fair and that's the going price on eBay. So I told the guy and that front and he said he had to call his manager, well after a conversation with the manager he informed me that the price wasn't updated in a while and it's now $70. I laughed and said I will just get it on eBay for $60. Avoid this store at all costs. Also I didn't notice the nice collection of boxed NES games they had in the case. Applied for a job here years ago. Was told I needed to sign a contract stating I would not be paid for the 80 hours of "training" which is illegal. The "training" consisted of doing various labor activities around the store and no education on the products. Once the "training" was complete I was told i needed to pass the ex-cop owner's test. The test was all knowledge based on video game systems from the 80s. None of which was covered in the training. Obviously I failed his test and was told I could continue the training for no pay or he wasn't going to hire me. Aside from that, the place is unorganized and the owner is rude. Do yourself a favor and never bother stepping foot into this store. Not only are the games incredibly overpriced, but it seems like they don't have the time to properly sort through and test their stock. I was sold a broken PS4 gold controller for $65 (negotiated the price to $55) after specifically asking if it was tested first. Mind you, I could have gotten a brand new one at Gamestop or elsewhere for $65. They also don't refund you via the method of payment (cash or card), so you are forced to accept a store gift card (how convenient). With the gift card, I bought the new Spiderman game for PS4 for $60. After getting home, I realized there was a universal price drop of $20, so the new game is now valued at $39.99. Shame on me, I guess? The manager, Bary, also seems incredibly hostile and abusive towards the workers. Please do not support a business like this. read more

Bought an offbrand gamecube controller through these guys knowing it wasn't going to be great but was in a pitch and needed something thought I could get a few days out of it until my amazon order came in no big deal. This controller lasted 3 hours of melee techskill practice and the controller retailed for about 25 dollars. Games are overpriced as max value 'collector' items despite condition not matching up to the price. Asked a few questions about gamecube memory cards since I had heard the 3rd party larger memory ones sometimes caused issues with some titles on gamecube. The staff's response was "Well are you going to buy it or not." Not even very knowledgeable of their own products. I'd rather see you go to amazon over this place. The staff is really kind, devoted, helpful, and attentive. The only issue is the pricing here. You can find many of the items here for half the price elsewhere. But you have to understand these guys are competing with big chains and digital shops. That said, you can still find some good deals here, especially if you're a vintage gaming collector. We can only pray that this "small business" suffers from Covid and is forced to shut down. For being a local business the owner certainly doesn't look out for his local community. He jacks up the prices on everything in store. I recently purchased a PS4 controller in gold. I was in a pinch for a controller and went ahead and purchased it. $65 in store. The controller was beat up and had sticky buttons. It did not come in a box or with a charger. Simply thrown in a grocery bag. I then visited Walmart.com and found the same controller, brand new, for $65. If you don't believe me, go scope out a few prices on items in his store. Then hop on GameStop, Walmart or Target and you will quickly see that this guy is selling used items for the same price. read more

They say they pay more for used games, they don't! I brought them a PS Vita with 8 games and a 3DS XL with 8 games and they actually offered me $105 and I couldn't believe it. Then they asked what I would be ok with and I said $170 at least and they had to go thru everything again, by then the process had taken an hour and the employee was on the phone with someone like the manager talking the whole time. The fact that they may be able to do the $170 is an insult when they just offered $105 at first. These people are thieves. If I didn't know better they would have ripped me off big time. The systems were in mint condition too. PLEASE DON'T SHOP HERE! When I asked how much they would charge me for this used they jumped back trying to get me to take the $170 and I laughed and left. RIP OFF. Go anywhere and look up their reviews, they aren't good. I have personally bought broken items from here and they do NOT price match, again read some reviews and you'll see their scam.
