I'm so sad to say I will not be coming back. I thought I would save time staying local rather than going to my usual salon in Providence and was so disappointed. The staff was kind and the salon is beautiful, but my nails are subpar. I was in a chair for an hour and forty-five minutes for a gel manicure!!! My hands were never soaked so my cuticles are quite dry, there is dust under the polish which I mentioned to my tech but she didn't do anything about it, and the paint is super streaked (I've had this color shellac elsewhere with great results). I'm not sure if this is normal for Vida, but I know in two weeks I'll take the drive into the city rather than go 5 minutes up the road. read more

I am very aware of an occasional cut or burn due to the tools. But when your bleeding and telling the technician he is hurting you and being rough and he just ignores you there is deff a issue. I had to that same day go somewhere to have removed what you did and see what they could due as both our nails got cut off from your technician. We tried stopping them and they were just rude. If you think that being that way is ok then I suggest going to business classes becuase I can tell from reviews this same issue has happened to many people. Not just myself. I paid 290 dollars that day just to be treated poorly. I work very hard for my money and wantted a great experience with my daughter but instead we left with her in tears and me angry. read more

Spa day disaster!! I came in with my closest friends to this hot mess spa to treat ourselves before graduation. We booked an appointment four days prior for the three of us to get our nails and toes done. We all were booked in to receive a pedicure and UV gels sets. Mind you, we were getting our nails done for a special event so we were expecting a relaxing day. We DID NOT GET THAT. People were visibly pissed and leaving throughout our entire appointment. There was not enough seating for all the angry waiting appointment havers and walk-ins. The spa was totally overbooked and did not even acknowledge our appointment. We were forced to wait forty minutes after we arrived on time to our appointment. After waiting this time, we were seated for our pedicure and waited an additional 15 minutes until someone came. After the pedicure, we waited an additional 20 minutes before our nails started getting done. Mind you, the services we were getting was already going to take an hour to get done. In the middle of getting our nails done, we realized one of the ladies in our group had not even started! THEY FORGOT ABOUT HER. She ended up not even getting her nails done:( They made her wait over an hour before even acknowledging her! So much for getting our nails done for graduation:p Don't even bother making an appointment you will get treated like a walk-in. Services were rushed and the manicures for the other two girls were subpar. This place is somewhat expensive so there is no excuse for the horrible booking and rushed services. Prices on the website are wrong and they charge you for every little charge. Do yourself a favor and don't come here if you have a special event or are short on time. read more

Never go here but my nail salon was closed so I figured I would try it out heard only good things. I called to make an appointment and the lady on the phone was nice. Go in today and tell them I had an appointment and someone came up to me rudely asking what services I wanted even though I stated what I wanted on the phone. I told her and she rudely told me to pick out of two different shelves. Of course I left. Why would I give someone my buisness after being rude. Mind you I probably would've been waiting awhile even with an appointment because they were so busy and someone else was waiting. I love coming here to get my nails done but be prepared to wait to get serviced. There's no point in making an appointment because they don't even take you at your scheduled time, 30-60 minutes later. Be prepared to clear your day if you want to get serviced here because you will spend more time waiting to get serviced than the actual service itself. It's super frustrating and inconsiderate of my time. Prices are fair reasonable for what you get and all the nail techs are great but the scheduling almost doesn't make it worth it read more

Was in town and needed a manicure. Saw this place got good reviews so I made an Appointment. Got taken right away. Place was like wow when you walk in. It's bright and large and the pedicure stations are behind a wall. Lots of colors to choose from. The manicure was normal and came out nice. I have tried numerous times to get an appointment and they continue to tell me to just walk in the point of an appointment is to not waste my entire day especially since their work has significantly gone down hill and they just move you from tech to tech just to complete the job and not a good one at that. I went to Vida today, 6/09/2022 as a walk in was greeted promptly and was told some one would be right with me. I was escorted to a seat feet in water choose from the menu. Twenty minutes later I still soaking my feet. I decided to leave as I was drying my feet a young man told me someone was coming to take care of me. I went to get a pedicure on may 2nd and I payed with my card and cash I paid exactly $29.21 on my card and the rest cash..... 2 days later I get a charge for $4.78 I called and asked and alls I got was " it's okay, it's okay, it's okay" the gentleman I spoke with totally disregarded what I was saying I'm not even sure he could understand me, but no it's NOT "okay" because on may 9th I got ANOTHER charge for $4.01 I know it's a little amount of money but this is illegal and when I find the time to go there to get this settled this week I want a full refund or I will be reporting this. read more

Very nice salon, clean, professional and their gel polish stays on for weeks. The services are high quality and my nails always come out excellent. I purchased several gift certificates for the holiday for friends and family..The cons are they are priced a little on the higher side , however still a good value and second make sure you have an appointment because they always are very busy. read more

I've been coming here for the last few months, pretty much since they opened. I love how convenient it is to my house. Very clean inside too. I've had my nails done by a few techs but Danny is my favorite! He is so detailed oriented and his artistic skills are insane. I recommend an appointment if you want to insure he's available. I have ALWAYS had a great experience at Vida Nails. From the moment I walk in, to when I leave, everyone there is so nice. They all greet you with a warm welcome right as you walk in. I have never had a wait time, but it could just be lucky timing. Every nail technician I have had is great, but I love seeing Fiona! Probably shouldn't post her name because now she'll be too busy to see me, but recognition is due for the amazing job she always does. I don't mind paying for a nice outcome. I try to make appointments for when I go, to avoid a wait time, but the last time I just walked in and they were still able to take me right away. It is very clean, the salon is nice and the employees are usually great, Today, however, the girl who did my pedicure tried to upsell me to a more expensive type, became annoyed when I refused, didn't even complete the pedicure I paid for and added 3.00 to the price of the color that I chose. I booked 2 mani/pedis for after a class for me and a coworker , called and they seemed very accommodating. Upon arrival, they acted like I was a walk in, but got me and my coworker started. The young man was very aggravated, like I was bothering him, until I asked him if he was having a good day, he said yes, I said oh, seems like your upset.... that helped change his attitude, my feet were done sloppy and I paid for the deluxe and had to remind him. The manicure was better and his attitude, but I left and before I got to my car, my left wrist and forearm started to swell with red splotches and my fingers were painful. It didn't ebb so I went in to ask what the products were in case I was having an allergic reaction, they wouldn't say, just aloe . Wouldn't let me read the bottle, so needless to say, after 2 days of Benadryl, I will not be going back. read more

I took my granddaughter with me to get a manicure and pedicure for a wedding in which she was the flower girl. The technician who took care of her was stellar. My granddaughter is 5 years old so this was a big thing for her, she felt so special. The technician that I had was also terrific. This place sucks.. I called ahead of time for a full set and was told to come in at a certain time. Once I got there, I waited 40 mins to get into a chair and was given terrible customer service (the lady had an attitude for no reason at all). Next day comes along and one of my nails are already broken, so I come back in to get it fixed and again waited 30-40 minutes to be seated. Couple days later 2 more of my nails broke LOL. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised at the calming atmosphere... there was gentle music, soft lighting (chandeliers), a lovely fragrance, and elegant mirrors. No tacky nick nacks or displays. It was spotless and quiet. I was immediately greeted by a gentlemen who handed me a bottled water and then asked in the nicest way what I was interested in and we discussed my needs. He assured me that I did not need the expensive tip treatment but just a manicure. Tim was my nail tech and he did an amazing job! I had super short, chopped up nails and he turned them into beautiful little stars that I am proud of. He finished with a massage and hot towel and then asked if I would like a should massage! I was really very impressed after my first time at this spa. We made reservations for a Sunday afternoon and were promptly seated for 3 pedicures. While I had to wait a bit longer, at least I was soaking in warm water so appreciate that. The pedicure was great and I loved the steam they put on my legs as I have never had done that before. The pedicure was also long, way over an hour, which again felt like a treat! When it was time to go and dry, I was offered a 10 minute neck and shoulder massage while I waited. While this is included, they do have signs saying you should tip separately. Honestly the massage was one of the best ever (I tend to like deep tissue around neck and shoulders). Gel manicure was ok started lifting after a week though. Didn't like the service at all. Nobody spoke English. I had eyebrows and nails done. Tipped the nail guy in cash but when went to pay with card was harassed about 2 services and both should be tipped. After them haggling me to pay cash to get $2 off which I did not have. Got dirty looks and lots of language I did not understand. I gave a $6 tip on $30 nails which is 20 percent. Maybe he should have given her a couple dollars rather than me getting belittled. I was dying to get a mani/pedi since covid hit- I finally decided to give Vida Nails a try! I was not disappointed! Fast service- masks on/temp check done/ answered questions and then I picked polish ..Leo did a great job with my manicure. Skillful and fast. Nails look great! And while I was doing that a gentleman came by with short complimentary back and neck massage- So very relaxing! I'll b back another day for longer - it felt great! Then time for pedi...washed and scrubbed and wrapped with Saran. Hot stone massage, hot towels, reflexology.. and then toenails cut and painted...so relaxing and wonderful! This place is an absolute mess. I made a 1:30 appointment before I had to go to work at 4:30 for a full set. You'd think 3 hours would be enough. The receptionist is trashy and drags her feet on the floor every time she walks, it's all you can hear over the music. They had me wait until 2 to even get in a chair, then they started soaking my last set off and totally forgot about me for 45 minutes. My fingers literally went numb and turned red so I took off the acetone myself. At this point I didn't even have time for a full set anymore because I've been there for over an hour and they didn't even START my nails yet. I obviously became frustrated, the receptionist ignored me twice. Lucy starts my nails after I awkwardly have to complain. She was very sweet but I didn't get what I wanted and she cut the cuticle of my pinky finger and index finger and somehow made my pinky knuckle bleed. They tried to charge me $35 for a manicure. Mind you all they did was PAINT my nails. I removed my last set myself after they forgot about me. Steven goes "we won't charge you for soak off, give yourself more time before work next time" like DUH... I did it myself and my nails took 2.5 hours to be painted lol I told him I refuse to pay for a full manicure when all she did was paint my nails. The place is over all a scam. Mind you, my nails were chipped by the next morning. I never have problems like this anywhere else. read more

I have had nothing but nice things to say about this place, I've recommended it to friends, everything. Last time will be my final time in here. I made an apt a week prior for 11;30 for a pedicure & massage. I was not planning on getting my nails done.. the manager said they were busy; and asked if I would like to get my nails done while I was waiting. I decided that "ok I'll get them done." I am used to paying like 40$ at most. And my birthday was the week after & I also had a gift card. As soon as I mentioned I had a gift card it was like I was like the whole vibe changed. My gift card was for 75$ and I was charged $75 for my nails, which one broke literally one day later. I was very upset so I asked the manager "I don't have 75 for nails, I came to get a pedi" and he literally could not care less. This whole situation ruined my week because as soon as that nail broke A few days later. I explained to the manager "never did I ask to get my nails done" very politely and that "once they heard I had a 75 dollar gift card they automatically charged me that amount" the manager laughed and said he charged all his clients 75 and can't change the price for one person. I was so mad but I tried to stay polite. I did not even go there for nails and now i couldn't even enjoy my pedicure; which the cost was $142 . Honestly I loved this place when I first saw it but I feel like because I only come in "once in a while" I was treated like crap. I didn't even go there to get my nails done, my nail tech charges me 40. I pulled out my phone and showed them their own price of nails full set 45 and once again they laughed. It's been over a week since this happened and it's been bothering me ever since. I understand places can be busy, which they were but I was taken advantage of bc of the whole gift card thing and i kept sticking up for myself but it was met with playful laughter and not being taken serious at all. The salon is extremely clean and very nice. Danny is very personable and helps make you feel comfortable. I must say the price for a full set or a gel fill, I think are just too expensive. I definitely suggest to go to Vida Luxe for pedicures!! Great prices as well as great services. They have a Pedicure Menu which is super helpful. The last 3 times I said I would not go back, but this time I mean it. I waited an hour again and the tech was so rough filing my nails that he took a couple of layers off my cuticles. I went there last night with my mom for the 2nd time. The first time wasn't a great experience, but figured every place has an off day so we gave it another chance. It was virtually the same experience. Our appointment was for 5:30, we didn't get put in a chair until almost 6:00. They set me up at the pedicure station & put the water in and then left for about 20 minutes. They left my mom sitting there that entire time without putting the water in the one she was at. I had to ask the woman who came to work on me if she could put water in the other one and then she left and didn't turn the water off, so it almost overflowed. We had to get the attention of the person across the way because we didn't know how to do it. When the woman was polishing my toes, she had to go and get a new bottle of polish which was not the same color as the one she had applied to my other foot. I don't put the blame on them for that because it's not their fault the brand changed the color. The problem was that she started applying it to my other foot like it wasn't an issue. If I hadn't said something, I feel like she would have just painted my feet two different colors. My mom's pedicure was done maybe 15-20 minutes before mine, so I figured she would be part of the way done with her manicure but when I sat down for mine they hadn't even started anything with her. We left the salon at 8:20, this is the only salon that I have spent that kind of time at and it's ridiculous. When I got home I had to remove polish from the tips of my toes, which is funny because the woman took some off before I left but missed all the other places. I also had gel polish on the tips of my fingers. It was such a frustrating time. We will never go back and will discourage friends from going there. read more
