Asked for acrylics with French tips. I didn't make an appointment, but maybe I should have to get a specific nail artist. I ended up getting an older gentleman. No issue with that, but I even showed a photo of what I wanted, and didn't feel like my end product was really matching what I wanted (other than it being French tipped.) I wanted my nails a little longer, and I felt the French tips he did were a lot thicker than I wanted, and were kinda hap-hazard and crooked. (See photo of both my index fingers, the French tips don't match) I couldn't see them while he was working on them, so it was hard to really see how they looked until they were done, which is why I didn't have the opportunity to say anything about it all. I also felt like when he was finishing them, he buffed out the bottom so part of my natural nail was already showing. Because of this, they looked really grown out after only one week. Overall I would give this place 4 stars. I liked that they got me in quickly. However, I felt as if my appointment was a little bit rushed. The girl I was with Tammy was really sweet and even offered me to do a dip powder instead of a gel but I didn't want to. I've been trying to find a good nail salon since moving to EG and this is not it. I don't know how clean this place was prior to when there was all the covid restrictions put into place but they definitely threw that out the window. For example: not wiping down counters, same nail file used over and over, old shopping bags with the hot towels in, etc. I debated walking out multiple times and just decided to get through the manicure and be done. My manicure is uneven, has bubbles in it, and my cuticles are all torn up. read more

I'm serious.... This is the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I had my woman redo FIVE of my 10 nails.... And she blamed me saying I 'tilted my hands!!' My friend felt with a very unacceptable experience. To start, they did not seem like they wanted to do her nails in the first place. While doing her nails they cut them way to short and uneven. The paint job was streaky and not well. She asked for something simple but they still didn't look the best. It was definitely not worth $50 for only gel. Had a gel manicure recently, it was a terrible job starting chipping after a week. I'll never go back

I came in to get my eyebrows and lip waxed. She asked me if I wanted my chin done as well. I said I didn't think I had much hair so I wasn't sure. She took a quick look at my face and told me I needed it. After starting to wax she commented on "how much hair I had and how long it was" multiple times throughout my experience. There's hair left around my eyebrows. One of them is completely too far in and super short. My chin area is still completely red and has irritation bumps after 24hrs from my waxing. If I wasn't very lighthearted I would've gotten offended by how many times she told me how much hair I had on my face. I didn't have time to drive to my normal waxing spot in providence so I chose studio nails since my boss gets her nails done there and is close to where I work. I thought after a day my face would be better but it's super red, irritated, and itchy still. Lesson learned. Do not try new places. read more

It seems Studio has quite mixed reviews, so I will try to be specific with mine... I went for a gel manicure and my nail were painted by the owner Justin and the art done my Mary. I couldn't have been happier. They were friendly, welcoming and did a great job. 3 weeks later my nails still look great! As for the pricing, I was charged exactly what their website states the charges would be for the gel manicure and artwork. It was the best salon experience I've had, but I have also found experiences vary GREATLY based on the technician you get. Some of these review would make me never want to step foot in their, but I also spoke to a few regulars who were known by name and given Christmas gift when they left, so they must be doing something right! read more

Wow been going there for years but today was terrible times two! We arrived after making a pedicure for 2 at noon. Nope they said I did make an appointment. Ok. They some what made the half assed attempt of accommodating us my daughter got a 20 minute, including gel polish pedicure. Note all her toenails are unevenly cut. Myself, I cut butchered to the point Kathy had to reglue my original nail on before she proceeded. My bigger complaint is she never took care of my callous feet. Worst experience ever. read more

Kevin did my manicure and pedicure and I am truly impressed. From the minute you walk in the owner greets you and he is very personable, you don't get that awkward feeling with someone yelling " pick your color". I also really appreciate that they have almost every color in Gel and regular so my toe color is a couple shades off from my nails like most places. The chairs you sit in to get your nails done are really big and you feel comfortable and can sit back and relax.This place was very clean and the pedicure was everythingggg! If your a boss please act like one.. She was being rude and obnoxious and made sure she was heard and l was embarrassed for her... poor girl. Didn't remove dead skin, didnt cut cuticles, and best of all, I now have an extremely painful ingrown toenail because she cut my nail and pull its down the side. Studio Nails is a really nice family run nail studio. They have reasonable prices and offer a nice variety of colors and services. I have been going there for a little over a year, since they are right across from my work. They do get busy especially around lunch time and rush hour--they have a great location. For example, it's right next to Dave's and Panera. You can do grocery shopping, grab a bite with a friend, and then walk over and get your nails done. Call and make an appointment! read more

I was a weekly customer at studio nails. This for a period of years. I really liked these people. Had a great relationship with them or so I thought. I had an upsetting experience wherein, as a customer, who would be recognized as a regular, walked in, on this particular weekday, without an appointment and, despite being a regular customer, requested a polish change and was rejected by the owner or manager who knew me. Sorry. Too busy. Get out. Pretty much was his attitude. This was a weekday. Not a peak period. Justin. Of course anyone who pays for nail care would recognize that a polish change takes just a few minutes of the time of a tech. One would think in some regard that a regular well liked customer would be accommodated. Upset by this experience, I contacted management. Management apologized. Ashley. Based upon the genuine sincerity of the apology, i went back to the salon. I had a manicure. All fine. Bea, my usual tech, did the manicure. One week later, I went back without an appointment and by coincidence, my usual tech (Bea) was standing near the rack with all the polishes. I simply asked Bea which polish she had used on me the Sunday before. She said that she was with a different customer and was not willing to answer my question. Enough was enough. Horrible service. The technician was rushing everything and I had to constantly make sure that he covered my entire nail with the polish. I told him about the bubbles that were forming and all he did was quickly re-apply another coat of polish. I've never had to have 5-6 coats of polish for gel. I have dried polish all over the ends of my fingers and I'm not pleased with his work. The applied nail polish (gel) doesn't even look even so I'm going to find another place that's better to fix it. I love Studio Nails, however, you need to have an appointment to have a good experience. It gets super busy and the staff is not always polite to walk-ins. The prices are very good. The gel manicures are great, however they use DND (Daisy) gel polish, which is difficult to come off (its not chip proof, it just takes forever to soak off). I have been several times and usually have a good to great experience. It is very clear that certain people are regulars (and may even be treated better). read more

Taking off points because a few months ago I went in for a gel manicure and pedi, requesting the owner, Justin, for this service. I ended up getting farmed out for the pedicure to a woman I had never met before. I have been a regular at this salon for many years, even before these owners bought it. The tech asked, "sand callouses?" And I said yes, (I thought that's what a pedicure is, after all.) Then I got my usual excellent gel manicure from Justin, the owner. I was given the bill, handed him my Visa card, and gave my usual generous cash tips to the pedicure tech and to the owner. Just as I was signing the slip, I heard a loud emotional conversation, yelling in fact, in an a non-English language. I looked up and the owner came running toward me saying, WAIT! STOP! You need to add $7 to the charge slip. Why? I asked. He said because my callouses were sanded. I said no one had told me there was an upcharge for this. My pedi tech did not speakEnglish so if she had told me it would cost extra for what she did, I was unaware. If I had been told there was an upcharge I'd have been happy to pay it. I added the money to my charge slip, but noted to the owner again that I was not told about an up charge. His response was: "Oh Well, everyone makes mistakes." (It was my opinion he should have said, "OK then, don't worry about it this time,"). Fast forward one week, while I was on vacation in FL, my soles hurt SO badly from this pedicure (it felt as if my soles had been shaved down to the bones) that I could barely walk. As my poor feet continued to badly hurt for three weeks, I kept thinking about how badly that Justin handled the situation with me. So, not the end of the world, obviously and I know one person is not going to make a difference to their business, but I've decided not to return to Studio Nails. There are dozens and dozens of nail salons within three miles of my home. I've already found a new salon, just as convenient, and the service there is impeccable. read more

I've had some not so great experiences w the gel nails here, they don't put enough coats on and I can see my nail through it. Also, I waited in line for the bathroom and I heard the toilet flush and someone walk right out (no time for handwashing) and guess what?! He was the one who did my nails. Gross. read more

Zero stars for me. I had been going there for several months. The last few times however my gel polish would begin turning brown and fading within a week. Tom was the worst there. Whenever he did my nails I would be in so much pain and at times bleed. And another thing- depending on who you get the price is DIFFERENT EVERY TIME.
