I treated my love and I to a little pedicure over here at this place everyone is always talking about that's Soo good. Vida Nails & Spa , you are not living up to your hype. Sadly disappointed . We had an appt for 2 vida spa pedicures ($60 each plus relaxology $20$ - $160 in total plus a tip) , first off we wait almost 20 min after our appt time , and they finally stopped looking around for other people to service , then realized oh, wait there these 2 people waiting... NOW we're finally sat down to start, a man attends My wife quickly, gets right to work. Then a man approaches me after looking like he really doesn't want to do anything , so barely gives me instructions or asks what I want, sits me down and just dips my feet in water , for about 20 min I'm just sitting waiting while my feet prune up, next thing You know a woman who just got there, gets serviced quickly ! And RIGHT after they sit her down, they service her . Still no one is to me to start the process. I'm just waiting patiently while my feet prune up. no hope , i up and left and no one said a thing. Never again. Not even an apology or excuse. Just let money walk out .Discrimination at its finest. read more

Soooo....they will NOT let you schedule an appointment unless you want a gel manicure, even if you request multiple services. Guess who has been waiting for over 30 mins and then guess who got taken to a pedi chair and then told to sit someplace else and wait some more because 'there are people ahead of you.' Went here 2 weeks ago with a friend for gel manicures after hearing great reviews. We did call to reserve a spot which was honored. But as we were getting our nails done the salon got busier. The staff doing our nails were getting more aggravated and even told us we should never come on a Saturday. I watched multiple people who called ahead get told to come back in 2 hours. They don't soak your nails for the manicure. My nails started to chip 3 days after having gel applied. I actually went back to have 3 nails fixed as I was going away. They fixed them for free. But within another few days (less than one fulll week with the gel mani) EVERY SINGLE NAIL CHIPPED. This has never happened to me before. I went somewhere else to have the gel removed and my nails were left very thin and broken. I will never go back to Vida nails! read more

Such a HUGE disappointment!! Made my first pedi appointment after the Covid and I waited 50 minutes to have my service!!! I then decided what was supposed to have been a relaxing time wasn't and I left! Gorgeous place and very nice staff! Only downfall for me was that the paint on my toenail chipped the very next day (that never happens, maybe he didn't top coat?) and that he cut my cuticle which was painful and left an ugly mark. read more

I asked if they would honor it for tomorrow since I couldn't get in and they said no. I was going to get other services with my pedicure but I guess they are so busy they do not need my business. I went here with my friend and the lady doing her pedicure started right away while i had to sit there and wait 15 minutes for someone to even come over to me. Our pedicures ended up finishing at the same time because my lady RUSHED through everything to catch up. It was aggravating enough that i had to wait but i would have preferred if she took her time and did a good job instead of rushing and not caring. This place was absolutely AMAZING. I never ever feel the need to write reviews but I am completely shocked about the luxurious service I just received. I just moved to Rhode Island and live five minutes down the road so I booked an appointment for 11 and was sat immediately. I got the $40 pedi and the entire time thought that they were doing a more expensive one! The hot stones treatment, leg mask, 10 minute leg massage and etc that came with that was unbelievable. My gel manicure turned out great too!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. And the place was so clean! I had no doubts that everything they were using was either new or sanitized. My nails look great, they really take the time to do the small details in giving you an exceptional experience. And to top it off I was given a FREE shoulder massage afterwards? It was unbelievable. I went because I was unhappy with the last place. When I got there I had all of my nails on. After explaining they didn't have acrylic for my fill. I still wanted to continue. After him complaining that my nails were in "rough shape" he asked if he could give me a whole new set. Which I was annoyed with because it was expensive to begin with. I told him he could take the two off that were badly damaged. He then decided to take a 3rd off without consulting me first. He then to continued to laugh about how cheap a fill was at other places and just would NOT let go how cheap the other place was and that "you get what you pay for". ZERO STARS. I didn't want to do this but I've been given no choice. I came to this salon today wanting a gel FILL and french ombre, I showed my nail tech a pic of exactly what I wanted. This service costed me $55 and I tipped an additional $5 because I felt bad, I'm a good tipper, it would've been 20-25% if I had left happy... but I didn't. The tech shortened my nails more than I told him too, if you zoom in on the picture you can see white specs where the ombre is supposed to fade, and they were SO WIDE AND THICK! Instead of embarrassing the tech or causing a scene. I left and paid MORE money at a different salon to get them fixed. I contacted the salon thru instagram asking for a refund and showing pics. All they offered me was "a free service with stephen because he is the best technician", NOT ACCEPTABLE. It shouldn't matter that he's the "best", they should all know what they're doing if they're going to work there. I left the salon to get my nails fixed elsewhere, I don't want to return to this salon for any service all I wanted was a refund. I paid for something I didn't like or ask for and feel any reputable, understanding business would have just said they will refund me and apologize. I didn't even get an apology. I was discriminated against by the people at this establishment and I have boycotted this place and have turned my friends and family away from them as well! I received a gift cert. from this nail "spa" from my husband. I was pleased the four or five times I went but thought it odd that even with an appointment I had to wait and that when I went with friends they would get serviced before me. Then one day I made an appointment for when they open on a Sunday. After waiting twenty five minutes past the appointment time,and watching walk-ins come and go, I asked why I was still waiting. I overheard a young nail tech arguing with the owner about having to do my pedicure. She did so reluctantly. She scowled the whole time and I felt extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. I have deformed feet that are very painful. I broke both of them when I was young. I get pedicures to try and make myself feel a little better about this uncontrollable situation. I suspected that the people at Vida nails did not feel comfortable or want to service me but It was not until I got the bill and realized that they had been overcharging me each time I got a pedicure that I knew this was true! One of the owners came over to apologize and gave me some change after I paid my bill on this last visit stating that it was a mistake that they charged me 3$ more than a regular pedicure is worth. I told him that they had been charging me this amount every time I came! When I asked my friend what they charged her when she got a pedicure, she confirmed that when she would get a regular pedicure from them it was $3.00 less than what I had been paying each time. I tip well...sometimes more than %20. Maybe the owner finally got a conscience and decided to come clean with me (only after I gave a $12.00 tip to that unpleasant girl!) What an unfriendly business! We set up an appointment for 6:30 tonight. Still not seen. By 7:05, instead of being seen promptly we were told to leave because I brought my two, happy sons. The most they were doing was giggling. But they told us we were nuisance and making it difficult for others to relax and that we should have gotten a babysitter. Anywhere I have ever gone my kids have gone. They are well behaved and cause no trouble. And my oldest son enjoys bonding with me when getting our toys done. If this was a little girl would they have acted differently? I will never come back again. I am disgusted with this establishment. Stopped in today to get a polish change on my toes & was really interested in doing acrylics again but as soon as I walked in I was approached by a pushy lady who spoke very broken English. Called me honey several times & was VERY AGGRESSIVE in attempting to sell me another product. One being $20 more than the acrylics I originally wanted - which I've been doing for 25+ years. I didn't get to spend any time picking out a polish bc she hovered over me while I was looking thru their selection so I just picked one quick . This was very uncomfortable!! Felt like my space was invaded & bombarded by this woman. It seemed a bit unorganized but then again they just opened. The vibe was not relaxing for me. Decided not to get my nails done once I found out that the pushy lady would be doing them. I visit this area once a week coming from Newport. I would have become a regular customer had the pushy lady given me an opportunity to take it all in and not try to convince me to settle for something I clearly didn't want & had I not been charged Newport prices for a polish change on my toes of $15. A bit much for doing very little in my opinion. The guy who did paint my toes did a very nice job & was very pleasant. However, my first & only experience wasn't since I left without accomplishing something I set out to do today. read more

I come in for a pedi once a month or so after work on a Friday (since it's typically about $50 after tip) but it's so worth it. Best way to end a work week. I always feel great when I walk out! I have never written a review on yelp before, but after going to Vida this morning for a pedicure with my daughter,I just had to! This was the best pedi experience i have ever had. I chose the cucumber pedi and it was wonderful. My feet and legs have never felt better! i got a french pedicure with a blue flower and it is beautiful. On top of that, while your feet are drying you get a complimentary shoulder massage. His fingers were like magic on my sore neck. Thank you Vida, anytime i am in R.I. Super friendly, always clean, staff remembers the regulars very well and tooically knows exactly what i get every time i come. The ONLY down side to going here is that the wait can sometimes be long. I was so disappointed. I have been coming to Vida for years. My daughter bought me gift certificates, two days before Christmas. I went to use them at the end of January and the salon had closed its doors overnight. What a terrible thing to do to faithful, regular customers. Those certificates should never have been sold. First time here today because 20% discount. Absolutely beautiful and clean. Not impressed with service. Was told 20 minute wait. Stayed and waited 45 min. They seat me and waited another 10.min. Not impressed with nail care. Got UV gel fills. My cuticle on every finger were grinded and have cuts on every finger. Now ready to paint. No base coat..asked why and told not needed. I have been getting gel fills over a year and the place that I go to does a base coat every single time. Not to mention, she didn't even have me wash my hands before she painted them and had dust all over my hands and nails. Asked if I should wash them and she just said no, later. Needless to say she never had me wash my hands. Place I go to same price absolutely more for your dollar. Can you get free paraffin treatment. All set with this place. Also need to mention that people had appointments at 10:30 didn't get seated till after 11. A couple came in and wanted to get pedicures together was told 5 minutes walked out after a 20-minute wait. And heard many people in the waiting area complaining about them scheduling times and having to sit and wait and not sure they would be coming back. read more

I gave them 2 stars because the place is beautiful and they were very friendly but my gel manicure was horrible. I requested a round file and my nails are all different shapes. My nail polish is on my cuticle and they look like they were not painted by a professional. On top of that my nails were not buffed smoothly for I have rough edges. The visit cost me $35 and I will not be back. I tried this new place but was disappointed. Best nails in Fall River are only $20 for a gel manicure and they do an amazing job. Not crazy about the wait times. I had a pedi once which was fine but they put all sorts of brightly colored and overly fragranced products on my feet that I thought were probably unnecessary. The other two times I have tried to go there I was not told what the wait time would be and was just told to pick a color and wait. Once I wasn't even acknowledged owledged so I picked a color and sat down and then someone who came in after me went first. That crap perturbs me the most. I ended up at Soriya which has the friendliest owner and won't go back to Vida. What's the point of having 15 nail stations if you're only going to have four people staffed at a time? read more
