    He loved it!

Super friendly staff, I could tell regulars stopped in and they knew each other. Everything here is gluten free, which was amazing. I enjoyed a coffee and sweet potato muffin which was not too sweet! My son had a cinnamon roll and my other son enjoyed the Brazilian bread. Outside seating has bright yellow umbrellas and the cheerful decor and breezy inside gives you a carefree relaxed feeling. I enjoyed relaxing with a sunbeam warming my Skin.

Been coming here every time we pass through Ashland and it has the best gluten free pastries and coffee! My favorite is their Americano or an espresso. I usually get their blueberry corn muffin or poppyseed which is super yummy! Also their sweet potato loaf bread is my all time favorite and a must try! Every time we're in there, the staff is so friendly and kind and the energy is so good! They have indoor and outdoor seating and it's a super nice casual spot to check out! 100% would recommend!

Healthy organic delicious and Gluten Free! Great prompt service, and the cafe is set off of the main busy street. Outdoor seating and a nice cool place inside to chill and refresh.

A fantastic spot for those with celiac, Vida bakery has delicious food for those who CAN eat gluten as well. I still think about the pao de quejo (brazilian cheese bread made with tapioca flour) with tuna that I had here three years later. Uber-charming bakery in Ashland that I wish I could return to on a daily basis!

There is nothing but good things to say about Vida! This Brazilian bakery is a must-stop for a weekend sweet treat. Vida is an entirely gluten free bakery!! In small towns like Ashland, it is a luxury to have a bakery this delicious where the entire menu is gluten free. My favorite things to order are the coconut gem or one of their scones. This bakery never misses and changes flavors quite regularly. As for drinks, their chai latte is amazing. Even better if it is iced and you sit out on the patio taking in the views. Vida can get relatively busy for such a small space, so plan ahead. There is a big free parking lot right across the street. The service is fast and friendly. The girls at the counter are always quick to give you a smile. Vida is top of the list for bakeries in Ashland!

They are melt-in-your-mouth delicious and looked like little polished celestial planets packed in a precious box of 9! This "hidden gem" (pardon the cliché) opened last year by Razia Hayden (owner & chef) and often has live music being played on the enclosed patio. She serves unique savory dishes, inventive desserts and beverages based on her knowledge of global seasonings, rooted in Mediterranean flavors. Most everything is gluten-free, locally sourced and made with spices originating from India, Indonesia, North Africa and the Middle East. I feel a certain kinship with Razia, since her dishes combine spices and flavors that aren't pulled from a cookbook or 3rd party recipe, but purely from her own creative chops, travels and heart. Before diving into her handcrafted chocolate bonbons filled with various creams and ganache (fair trade cacao BTW), I first enjoyed their French toast to prime my sweet-tooth. It comes with three slices of their house-made bread, soaked in an orange blossom custard, finished with a dollop of saffron whipped cream. Other menu items include: Lamb Pilaf with Saffron Rice, Turkish Eggs, Harissa Chicken Crunch, and a unique cardamom-spiced coffee to mention a few. I'll be back to try more! Truth...

Holy profit margins, Batman! It seems the basis of this restaurant was to take simple, inexpensive…read moreelements and up-charge based on the infusion of spices, often in an unbalanced and excessive way. We ordered the kebab sandwich and French toast. In total, this ended up being 5 slices of identical fried bread, accented differently. The French toast was not traditionally battered before preparation, so a bit of false advertising if you are expecting a fluffy exterior. It came with several clashing flavors of orange, mango, cardamom, and saffron. Not much subtlety and a little bit of flavor confusion. The kebab sandwich didn't match the menu, which described sliced beef, goat cheese, tamarind, and yogurt. It was rather a heavily cardamom spiced hamburger patty with salad, picked onions, and a light sauce. With missing internal components and no sides, not worth $20. The drinks were also a bit confused, with the aftertaste becoming cloying from too many competing spices and floral elements. While spice is the flavor of life, I'm not sure a spice-forward restaurant is my cup of tea. Perhaps spices should be used more as an accent than a staple.

Well, it's definitely not Sauce anymore which is sad tbh…read more Other than the dumb new name, the menu is very similar but different. No more kale chips (the best ever btw!), way less sauces to choose from, the fridges are all empty, the sautéed cabbage sucks when it used to have flavor and was cooked well and now is basically raw, I could go on. Btw you're supposed to remove the stems on kale, not serve it to customers w stems! They removed all the lamps and fun wall paint in the bathrooms and looks like a generic boring cold bright light white walls bathroom. ***The chicken is much, much better tho so I'll give them that. I wont be surprised if soon they repaint the walls white too and take down all the wood. It has a very medford conservative energy now with people pretending to be hippies wearing ponchos they just bought etc. So that's awkward. Definitely waaaay different energy.. not inna good way. I appreciate what they offer food wise though with veggies and dairy free desserts so I will definitely return. The music SUCKS now. Sauce used to be such a cool vibe with indie music and even classical and jazz etc. Now it is top 40's pop and country-pop. Just god awful. The drama that came from this revision is very interesting also... something like the owners husband and wife, husband cheated on wife with the now new co-owner who is supposedly also married and the ex-wife has chronic illness and was basically blindsided and then bought out. It's all really messy and gives a bad energy. Probably why it is empty every time we've been since the change... Sauce used to always be packed.. we also would always buy the frozen soups and salads etc in addition to our meals ordered but now spend less bc nothing in fridges to buy! Anyway, I hope they stay open for the food bc not much else like it in the valley but hOm, please don't forget the loyal following of Sauce and completely obliterate its energy. Please dont paint everything white and black. We need color and creativity and community. Not cold pretend hippie energy. Sauce was packed constantly for a reason... don't lose sight of why and why you're always empty now facing closure...

All this is to say that I was primed to enjoy the Breadboard. Great setting and views; in addition, the staff were friendly and pleasant. I ordered their omelette Olé, which was fine. But their home fries were flavorless, and one of the keys to a good diner is having your potatoes dialed in. Nope. I ended up at a counter, because they were busy, and the table service was sticky. Eww. Not uncleaned, but an old surface that has absorbed years of dirt and grease so that no rag will correct it. A bathroom wall was also sticky. Time to close down for a few days, get a crew in there to sand some surfaces down and restain or paint things. If they did that and paid more attention to their nondescript potatoes, they would earn five stars from me. But when the counter you serve customers at is sticky and uncared for, what must the kitchen be like?
