Review for Dr. Naidu and Dr. Su…read more Apologies for the delay in writing this review--but my gratitude has only grown with time. Thank you, Dr. Naidu, for truly changing my life. One of the things I appreciated most was how honest and transparent both you and Dr. Su were with my prognosis. Your directness allowed me to make informed decisions without false hope, while still feeling heard and respected. You didn't just prescribe a path--you listened to my concerns and worked with my choices. The main reason I chose to fly from Los Angeles--despite the costly flights and hotel stays--was because you believe in starting with conservative care before jumping to surgery. That meant everything to me. Although Dr. Su thought my lower back MRI showed serious issues, he still agreed to try epidural injections first. Thankfully, I only needed two. Those injections gave me my life back. Before meeting you both, I had been off work for six months. Every provider I saw in L.A. pushed for surgery. As a nurse, I've seen patients come back years later with even more pain after surgery. I know surgical techniques have evolved, but I wasn't ready to take that step without a team I could trust--and I trust you both. Just three weeks after my first injection, I returned to work. I'm on my feet 12 hours a day, and I was finally able to do it again. Thank you--truly. My husband got his wife back. My kids got their mother back. Before treatment, I looked and felt ten years older. Now, I feel like myself again. I had been managing well with just Tylenol and ibuprofen for the occasional mild pain. But I made the mistake of seeing a chiropractor recently, and everything changed. My MD ordered a new MRI, and now both my neck and lower back are flaring up again. So--my next visit with you is already booked for August, flights and hotel included. I'm hopeful once again. Lastly, Dr. Naidu--thank you for fitting me in on my first consultation. When I look back, we laugh now about how I begged you to give me that first injection right away. You told me to be there at 8 a.m. because you had a small gap in your schedule--but what you didn't know is that I was already parked outside your building by 7 a.m. I wasn't going to miss that appointment. Best decision I ever made. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Dr. Su--I'll never forget when you looked at my MRI and said, "Oh no... your back is messed up. The epidural won't give much benefit." You had such a straight face that I thought to myself, Oh no... if he can't help me, I'm in deep sh--. But despite that, you still advocated for me. You spoke to Dr. Naidu, and he gave me a life-changing injection. THANK YOU. Just two injections--and I've been doing well ever since! Please, don't give me that look again when you see my MRI this time. Words alone can't express how grateful I am. Thank you.

The staff has been consistent and responsive - well beyond most Dr. Offices. Previously, I had cervical fusion/decompression surgery and lumbar decompression at UCSF. Every day I wish with all my heart that I'd gone with Dr. Su for those. It's hard not to blame myself because I'm convinced if I'd gone with Dr Su initially I wouldn't be left with cervical chronic pain. Dr Su's approach is to do the most minimal surgery because you can always do more, but can't correct surgery that shouldn't have happened. In my case, this lumbar fusion and reconstruction Dr Su did on November was to correct the first aggressive lumbar decompression at UCSF. I'm now 6 weeks post surgery and feel like I'm getting my life back! Nerve recovery has been difficult and painful, and the staff has been incredible at addressing it. For the first time I feel like I'm part of a team working to heal me. Shout out to PA's Connor and Julie, and Anna and Bruno for back office support. One more thing to consider...the practice consists of several high quality doctors that offer supporting procedures adjacent to surgery.

We then made roughly 30 attempts to contact the office to arrange that follow-up and could not get through. We eventually went to the address listed on the ER discharge paperwork, only to discover that the office was closed and patients were being redirected to another location. At the alternate location, the receptionist could not find the referral and was not helpful in resolving the situation. We were ultimately offered an appointment if we were willing to pay out of pocket. My biggest concern is not simply the receptionist's attitude. It is the overall failure of communication and continuity of care: my wife, being an ER patient, was instructed to obtain specialist follow-up, yet we could not actually obtain that follow-up despite all the effort.

I was told during that visit that I would need a hip replacement, but I'm too young. I was told that my only option was to have steroids injected into my hip and take anti-inflammatory medications until I hit 50 years old, and then I'd be eligible for hip replacement surgery. Your staff said I had no other options available. I did have other options available! Shame on your office staff for not giving me this information. You wanted to keep me coming in for steroid injections and you wanted to bill my insurance for the hip replacement surgery. Two weeks ago I had a Stem Cell treatment on my hip. I already am able to put more weight on my leg, I don't need my cane, and the achy pain that shot down my leg is gone! (I haven't taken any anti-inflammatories in weeks) Obviously, it will take months for my full recovery, but I'm already seeing results! You'll find a number of other specialty offices in other suites on their campus. I underwent a L5-S1 discectomy at their wonderful new 48X outpatient surgical facility. It's a gorgeous new surgery center that's designed for outpatient procedures but they'll admit you overnight if needed. Unfortunately my disc was calcified and he had to carefully and tediously drill out the herniated disc as it was pressing on my nerve root. It caused horrific pain and my leg and foot were becoming unstable and weak. My surgery ended up being five hours long instead of two, and he ended up admitting me overnight for observation and pain control, which was a blessing. I'm on the road to recovery, and I thank Dr. Kim for everything. I hope and pray I'm able to ride a bicycle with our daughters who are five and eight in the near future. I was in a car accident in 2017 and underwent a laminectomy and microdiscectomy in 2018. Long story but if you are considering Dr. Kim, it is well worth reading!!…read more Dr. Kee Kim is an incredible doctor and he has my absolute highest recommendation to anyone considering scheduling an operation with him. Surgery is never easy, but with Dr. Kim it was. After 11 years of pain, I am now pain-free. ***My Story*** My L4-L5 disc herniated in 2007, at the age of 21. I spent the next 11 years in increasingly debilitating pain. I went to various doctors multiple times up and down the state complaining of pain in the same region. They all sent me home with pain pills/narcotics, none of them believing (or caring?) about the severity of my pain. It became worse and worse until finally I had to quit my job as a teacher because I became (basically) paralyzed in 2017. The pain was so bad that I couldn't get up. My 6-year-old spent the next 6-9 months taking full care of me, (I'm a single mom) including meals, cleaning etc. as I laid in bed in excruciating pain. ***Dr. Kee Kim*** My story became public when I reached out to the newspaper begging for help as I was financially depleted and about to become homeless. Dr. Kee Kim, out of the kindness of his heart and by the grace of God, decided he could help me and took me on. I was so scared to do the surgery, who wouldn't be? But I knew that if anyone could help me, it would be him... I had read numerous reviews on various websites about him; even from people who flew in from out of state just for him. After meeting him and seeing how professional, knowledgeable and confident he was, I knew for a fact I was in good hands. While Dr. Kim was operating on my spine, he discovered that my disc had fused to my spinal cord because it had been herniated for so long. This was not apparent on any testing done prior to surgery, so Dr. Kim had to scrape the disc off my spinal cord-- on the spot. One slip of the hand and I would've been fully paralyzed for life. To me it shows incredible talent, genius, and hand-eye coordination that a neurosurgeon absolutely MUST have. I am so thoroughly impressed and pleased with the outcome. (An unexpected outcome as well is that my mood and spirits are so high. I didn't even realize how my disability had me so down in the dumps until Dr. Kim fixed me.) It has been almost 6 months since surgery and I am feeling great! The scar is so small (less than an inch long) and already faded to a light light pink. I am not only able to take care of my son again, but we get to go on hikes, parks, bike rides and more. I have my life back, and my son has his mom back. If you are reading this Dr. Kim, my son and I THANK YOU ETERNALLY!!!

Dr. Brindle and his staff including his nurse practitioner Victoria Flower are wonderful. Dr. Brindle recommended that I have an laminectomy and microdisectomy due to the injury I sustained in which my L4-L5 disc was badly protruding and pressing on my nerve root. I resumed walking right away and an week and an half post op I walked fifteen miles. I couldn't be happier and more thankful. I'm forever indebted to Dr. Brindle.
