Dr. viscusi is unprofessional, rude, & runs a disgusting office. Front desk girl is nice though.

This is a MUST READ if you want a real review** I find many…read morepeople today leave complaints instead of an actual review of fact. I have been a patient of Dr. T. For over 8 years. I came to him after many surgeries and on constant prescriptions of opioid meds. You must understand that one needs to take personal responsibility and be honest with themselves and their Doctors. If you only want prescription meds then Do Not come to this place. It is NOT a pill mill. It is a place you come to to work on solutions and treatments to minimize pain. I deal with severe chronic pain and have had great relief from Dr. T. He is not my buddy.....he is my doctor. I don't go there to talk about my weekend....he is a more methodical dr. and is to the point but cares greatly about his patients! I have not always left there feeling better....real relief is a process and sometimes one procedure isn't successful so we regroup and find one that is. It is about the long haul and I have had a better quality of life by far than when I arrived there. I have not had opioid meds for some time now and do not live like a zombie and longer. I have heard people scream at the doctor because he wouldn't give them narcotics without the proper exams, MRI's X-rays etc. for me that is a breath of fresh air since the docs before I came to him loaded me up on that stuff. Be patient, be honest and don't have un-realistic expectations. First time appointments take a long time but I promise they get better after that. I have had surgeries at Stanford and I tell you this....his skill with needles and injection treatments are superior to anywhere I have been before....far less discomfort. Most of the negative reviews I see are from people who just did t get what they want....that is not a review it is a complaint without actual fact. Thanks of you took the time to read this.

Today on the day of my first appointment she took my ID and insurance card and copied it, then she asked if she can take my picture, I told her you have my ID my Insurance information, my DOB, my address and my phone number, Why do you need my picture, I think she said it's required, then I was directed to the exam room, it was hot and stuffy, with no ventilation, then the woman with the tattoos came in and started questioning me, she if I have high BP and I said not that I know off, she said you are taking high BP medications, then she asked if I had a heart attack, to which I replied yes, and she said why did you have a heart attack? I told her that was 25 years ago and I don't know why I had a heart attack, I told her that I have already filled out a 13 page questionnaire and most of the questions are not relevant and very intrusive, like your race and sexual activities, and drug and alcohol use, at this point she got up and left the room. About 10 minutes later the Doctor came and asked me why I was there today, I told him I was there because of my chronic hip pain and lower back pain and he said he can help me with my back pain but he is not going to, because I wasn't nice to the woman.

After a brief call with an employee named Paolo, who spoke positively about the clinic, I shared the information with my relative. In hindsight, I realize that in my desperation, I may have overlooked warning signs. At the time, I did not realize Paolo is not a medical professional, even though he was the first person discussing treatment options. The clinic is owned and operated by Dr. Nilda Agnes Abellera, who is board-certified in PEDIATRICS but whose clinic advertises integrative medicine. My relative traveled from out of state to begin what was described as an "intensive" 20-day cancer program. According to her account, the first three days did not feel intensive. She reported that infusion rates appeared slowed, staff could not explain the scientific basis for some treatments, and the doctor missed a planned medication review. She also observed what she believed was dried blood on a chair and described an IV bag fully draining while the needle was in place, which worried her. On October 9, 2025, she said her care was terminated immediately after raising concerns, without timely written notice, referrals, or arrangements to ensure access to medical care until she could establish care elsewhere. Referrals were only provided after I contacted the clinic. This abrupt termination caused a delay of over a month in her treatment and worsened her PTSD symptoms. She also tried to obtain her medical records multiple ways. On October 10, she requested them in person but was denied. She also submitted a written request and used the clinic's online inquiry form. As of this writing--52 days later--she has not received her complete records. When I called the clinic, Paolo was tense and dismissive, and I could not speak directly with Dr. Abellera. Given the situation, I became concerned about whether proper procedures were followed and intended to file a complaint with the Medical Board of California. Additional observations and concerns (personal experience): Family-run structure: The clinic is owned by Dr. Abellera. Paolo appears to manage many aspects, and another family member may also work there. This raised questions about oversight and role clarity. Online reviews: Of 32 Google reviews, 5 were five-star without details. Only one mentioned "cancer," making it hard to evaluate patient experiences compared with other clinics with hundreds of detailed reviews. Difficulty communicating with the physician: My relative and I tried to speak directly with Dr. Abellera; she did not speak with me, and my relative felt the doctor was unwilling to address her concerns. This lack of communication was alarming given her serious diagnosis. Cost vs. expectations: The program cost approximately $1,800 per day. Based on my relative's experience, the services did not match the program description. Others may feel differently, but this was our impression. Social media promotion: Paolo participates in Facebook groups promoting the clinic without identifying himself as an employee, which seemed misleading. I have included a screenshot for reference. In more than a decade in healthcare, I have never witnessed a more concerning divergence from a physician's duty to do no harm: terminating care without notice, effectively leaving my relative without immediate, comparable care options while facing life-threatening cancer.

Honestly, I was really desperate & hopeless because a number of other therapists over many years had failed me, and now I had set very low expectations since I thought I was the problem. So I would have been happy with some new perspective, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only we went much deeper, it was as if so much was waiting to come up so fast--here and now in the care and of this good doctor & the safe atmosphere he has created to allow for it. It's hard to describe in a few words, but the first two sessions seemed to unravel an entire new stage of my life. From a healing perspective, those two sessions did more than years of soul searching, and more than some hundreds of sessions in comparative holistic approaches. I know this sounds like an exaggeration, but it is not. The many years of experience of a good therapist, combining both, therapy and hypnosis, can be profoundly effective in terms of the depths one could reach. Dr. Shafaghi's book explains how and why, and it's well worth a read. May I say, an easy client who is a learner also helps--that was his compliment to me regarding how well I received his help Now he is our family doctor, and I feel blessed he is in our lives. I have a feeling those who encounter him will find new and profound discoveries awaited them. What is most admirable in this practice also is the way husband and wife advocate for one another. I am also slightly troubled by the unfavorable and unfair rating of a reviewer who seems to be speaking from another universe, so I thought I will add this review from my google to show the truth of this beautiful and sacred space.

The staff has been consistent and responsive - well beyond most Dr. Offices. Previously, I had cervical fusion/decompression surgery and lumbar decompression at UCSF. Every day I wish with all my heart that I'd gone with Dr. Su for those. It's hard not to blame myself because I'm convinced if I'd gone with Dr Su initially I wouldn't be left with cervical chronic pain. Dr Su's approach is to do the most minimal surgery because you can always do more, but can't correct surgery that shouldn't have happened. In my case, this lumbar fusion and reconstruction Dr Su did on November was to correct the first aggressive lumbar decompression at UCSF. I'm now 6 weeks post surgery and feel like I'm getting my life back! Nerve recovery has been difficult and painful, and the staff has been incredible at addressing it. For the first time I feel like I'm part of a team working to heal me. Shout out to PA's Connor and Julie, and Anna and Bruno for back office support. One more thing to consider...the practice consists of several high quality doctors that offer supporting procedures adjacent to surgery.

Review for Dr. Naidu and Dr. Su…read more Apologies for the delay in writing this review--but my gratitude has only grown with time. Thank you, Dr. Naidu, for truly changing my life. One of the things I appreciated most was how honest and transparent both you and Dr. Su were with my prognosis. Your directness allowed me to make informed decisions without false hope, while still feeling heard and respected. You didn't just prescribe a path--you listened to my concerns and worked with my choices. The main reason I chose to fly from Los Angeles--despite the costly flights and hotel stays--was because you believe in starting with conservative care before jumping to surgery. That meant everything to me. Although Dr. Su thought my lower back MRI showed serious issues, he still agreed to try epidural injections first. Thankfully, I only needed two. Those injections gave me my life back. Before meeting you both, I had been off work for six months. Every provider I saw in L.A. pushed for surgery. As a nurse, I've seen patients come back years later with even more pain after surgery. I know surgical techniques have evolved, but I wasn't ready to take that step without a team I could trust--and I trust you both. Just three weeks after my first injection, I returned to work. I'm on my feet 12 hours a day, and I was finally able to do it again. Thank you--truly. My husband got his wife back. My kids got their mother back. Before treatment, I looked and felt ten years older. Now, I feel like myself again. I had been managing well with just Tylenol and ibuprofen for the occasional mild pain. But I made the mistake of seeing a chiropractor recently, and everything changed. My MD ordered a new MRI, and now both my neck and lower back are flaring up again. So--my next visit with you is already booked for August, flights and hotel included. I'm hopeful once again. Lastly, Dr. Naidu--thank you for fitting me in on my first consultation. When I look back, we laugh now about how I begged you to give me that first injection right away. You told me to be there at 8 a.m. because you had a small gap in your schedule--but what you didn't know is that I was already parked outside your building by 7 a.m. I wasn't going to miss that appointment. Best decision I ever made. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Dr. Su--I'll never forget when you looked at my MRI and said, "Oh no... your back is messed up. The epidural won't give much benefit." You had such a straight face that I thought to myself, Oh no... if he can't help me, I'm in deep sh--. But despite that, you still advocated for me. You spoke to Dr. Naidu, and he gave me a life-changing injection. THANK YOU. Just two injections--and I've been doing well ever since! Please, don't give me that look again when you see my MRI this time. Words alone can't express how grateful I am. Thank you.
