I came to Dr.Zhao recently due to headaches, pain radiating upward towards the back of my head,…read moredizziness and pain on my shoulders and neck. I was able to call and book a same day appointment. Dr. Zhao is a retired doctor who works 3 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays) because of his passion for healing and fixing people's health problems. I was in tears because I was in so much pain and so dizzy. He calmed me down and told me he would fix me up! He used a combination of acupuncture, cupping and body/spine manipulation. He recommended a pillow and some pills for me to take home. Dr. Zhao is not cheap, the appt with everything costs $400! ($250 for each session plus initial first time $50 fee) I was still not better so I came back in two days. He poked me with needles and moved my neck around. I do feel better after I have seen him but I think my problem is too far gone with my neck. It's years of posture, sleeping wrong, stress, anxieties that have built up these muscle and neck tightness that is so hard to get rid of. It's been 2 weeks since I saw Dr.Zhao and I'm still not 100%. However, he did a lot to help me, he is a kind and patient man and ever since I saw him, I can breathe soooo much better and deeper. I felt like I couldn't breathe very well before I came to see him. I like him so I also took my husband to see him. He's been having right shoulder/back pains for years now, who knows where it comes from. Could've been the car accidents or work out wrong. After 1 session with Dr. Zhao, my husband is feeling a whole lot better. He still feels the area is a little off but his pain is completely gone and it's been a whole week so far. He was in so much pain! I highly recommend Dr.Zhao for all your ailments. There is no quick fix to any health problem. You need a combination of meds (possibly), lifestyle changes, exercise/stretches, stress reduction etc. Dr. Zhao can propel you there but you have to do the rest yourself too. For example, I'm doing more neck exercises now which I have never done before and I work on the computer 8 hours a day. I have changed my pillow to an ergonomic one. I'm being more MINDFUL in general of my neck and how it responds to my anxieties and stress (it gets tighter). Dr.Zhao sure is expensive but he is a healer and a good one.

Because the muscles in my back have adjusted, I have to go multiple times. And also because this place is located in SF, I had to try other chiropractors, due to the distance. I have tried 3 other chiropractors from berkley to fremont. All did the same thing-crack your neck, back and hips. The same exact way. While I did feel a little better, I could've cracked it myself. I finally gave in because those people couldn't do it and weren't listening to me, so I went back here today. Zhao knows what he's doing. You tell him and he will fix it for you. Other chiro will try to get you on a subscription plan to come 3x a week, blah blah blah (especially the ones who partner up with kaiser). You only need to come to Zhao once or twice and you are good. They do charge a a little more than other places, but it might be worth it for you. They only open Tuesday, Thursday and Sat as of now, but yoi can call and they will answer even on their off days. Call early, because they were booked for the whole day the last time I called. Also, check the area first before you come here because parking is a hassle. I really miss this place.

I will have few more visit with them hopefully by that time I will get better. About that Clinic when I walk in it feel clean, I had been checking about the needle. YES They use new clean needle. NOT old used needle.. Why am I saying that .. because my first life time experience was awful, I feel painful and I am not sure ,do did they use clean needle. The Clinic was at 126 Waverly Place in San Francisco. The technique what the Dr use is not what I imagine what Acupuncture should be.. The needle it was thick pinch to my body in 15 sce and put out .my body was sore for few days. I will never going back there.. That why when I was in Dr Larry Forsberg clinic I know they using NEW CLEAN needle, I feel safe to go back to see him again. I am highly recommended people to go there. THANK YOU Dr Larry Forsberg !! see you next week

I went to see Larry a couple of weeks ago after finding out my insurance gives me a discount. Now,…read moregiven the fact I'm a student, a mother of 3, and in the process of moving back to Australia..I have very little money but am desperate for help as my body is falling apart emotionally and physically! The "American Specialty Group" recommended Larry as one of their faves in the area, so I thought I had to be on a good thing, and I wasn't disappointed. He was very though rough with my medical history (and let me tell you, I might be 35 years of age, but I read more like a 90 year old woman when you hear of everything I've had done...No no! No pace-maker or artificial hip joints yet!..Hopefully never!) After a good consultation, time to relax and get into the session! The room was wonderful!Warm, clean, cozy, and the bed!! Ahhhhh..the first bed I've ever been on where the breast area is cut out, which, let me tell you guys, when you have to lie on your stomach, for a woman..makes an incredible difference! Having those holes cut out is heavenly! There's nothing more uncomfortable than trying to feel "relaxed" lying on your stomach whether it be for a massage or acupuncture and your breasts as flattened like pancakes into the bed, squashed into smithereens, and you're mind is wondering whether when you get up if they'll "bounce" back into shape again! So, my treatment begins.. I end up with needles all down my spine, one in my head, ear, arms (large intestine, bladder) pretty much every major organ as I've been so stressed out,and it shows! Youch!! You certainly can feel when a meridian is blocked. It aches...like the nerve pain you feel at a dentist. Once they were all done, he "tweaked" them a few minutes later (turned them to stick them in a little more to get more flow going), then he left and I was off..drifting into acupuncture heaven!! I'm fortunate that my body responds well to treatment, but it also depends on the acupuncturist. I really liked how Larry was extremely well presented, very knowledgeable, caring, and he didn't rush. I've been to some places where they've come in every 10 mins and I felt as though they couldn't wait for me to go. Larry allowed me to get into a completely relaxed state and allowed the needles to do their job. I was there for 2 hours, and felt amazing.I was tired and felt a little "off" that night, but that's not unusual when you've had a more extensive session of acupunture, it just means the body is detoxing.Rest, good food and water is imperitive! If I was in a better financial position, I'd be there every other day. I would highly recommend Larry to anyone, in fact I have. I really liked my old acupuncturist, he was great too,but the difference is, Larry takes more time with you, which is super important to me. Make sure you show up on time and wear comfortable clothing.
