Based on the reviews, the vibe must vary based on the day or the week / time of day. I'm the afternoon, it has a chill ambiance, a place to get some work done and an awesome bartender. The drink Menu is fairly standard, but I really appreciate what they did with the space that used to be a Smoothie King. Their outdoor patio has plenty of seating, umbrellas and a giant projection screen. Definitely will be back to check out the upstairs pool hall and the diner area. Both are supposed to open several months down the road. Cheers!

Confused about the bad reviews below... must've been 1 group that had a bad time. I went to victory lap for the first time this weekend before the UT game and it was a blast! Obviously super busy so waiting for a drink or bathroom took longer than usual but it was packed with UT energy and fun!! We had these orange creamsicle drinks that were super tasty! The pizza at Noccos was so delicious so make sure you grab that while you're there. Also they had free hotdogs in the back which was awesome??? The ambience is super cute and the bartender was kind and goofy. We all had good fun and would love to go back!!!

Honestly, the spot has one of the best happy hour deals ever when it comes to drinks. It's pretty affordable, especially since they open their new diner next-door. I like coming here before UT games, the vibe is nice and they have very large screens all over the place so it's pretty hyped up, the vibe is good. Everything is covered in vintage UT memorabilia. Nice patio vibes, conveniently located in West campus so it's a nice spot for UT students .

Victory Lap is a cute sports bar with very reasonably priced food, $10 Espresso Martini's, a great viewing experience for sports (go 'Stros!), and very friendly and energetic staff! The drinks were tasty and came out quick, and the food at the other building was cheap and satisfactory as far as less-than-$8 bar-food goes. Yes, there is an automatic 20% tip, and whilst it didn't bother me personally they should really just adjust menu pricing and build tip+tax into the cost of each item considering that it isn't a very expensive bar to begin with, especially by Austin standards. 8/10 would recommend. They also take Apple Pay for anyone that's curious!

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing pizza & music!!! Definitely worth checking out. Don't let the bad reviews deter you from coming here. It's only 8pm on a Friday and on campus! These people are ridiculous

Cool outdoor bar. Was supposedly newly renovated but really nothing special about it at all. Has a food truck with pizza. They were showing football game on big tv but multiple times it went out. Beware that they automatically add 20% tip here to your tab

For reasons that make no sense to any experienced summer festival-goer, the Q2 powers-that-be decided to make this a "no re-entry" event, meaning that attendees are basically locked in the stadium with very few options for relief from the heat. Thank heaven for PointsBet Sports Bar! PointsBet Austin is located inside of Q2 stadium on the north end near the Zebra Gate, up some stairs just to your right as you enter the gate. They have cold air-conditioning, at least one phone recharging station, a few table games, seating for at least 50 people, and standing room for a couple hundred others. Plus, there's a huge horseshoe bar serving plenty of canned and mixed beverages. The whole north wall is floor-to-ceiling windows, providing plenty of natural light. Lastly, there are 18 flatscreens around the walls showing various sporting events and during our concert, a couple were streaming a live view of the concert stage. As expected, prices were "high" (like everything else in Austin these days), but they were in line with pricing available at the other beverage stands outside in the stadium, so we didn't pay any more than we would have out there for the same drink. According to their website, PointsBet opens 3 hours before soccer matches on regular Q2 game days, and it's one of the few air-conditioned places where non-VIP attendees can get a break from the goings-on outside.

Eclectic decor, crowd and menu; it was very Austin! Service was excellent throughout and we enjoyed trying several dishes off their menu! Began with a cocktail called Roselite which was both delicious and beautiful then we tried a variety of their dishes! My absolute favorite was their oysters Rockefeller which were some of the best I have had anywhere! The topic was crispy and delicious and they were perfectly cooked! Also enjoyed the half dozen or their East Coast oysters that were delicious. Enjoyed their delicious yellowfin tuna with lemons, capers, shallots and olive oil. The fries and onion dip were also just excellent ! My only let down - and it was barely that as it was so delicious and fresh - was the smoked trout dip! Part of it was a me problem as I was comparing it to my favorite version made by State Bird - a famous eatery in San Francisco where this is one of their go to dishes - and part of it was that this restaurant has that Feankin BBQ tie so when they said smoked - I was looking forward to that smoke forward taste and their was none - but it was fresh, delicious and well prepared! Had a fantastic time here and will definitely go back! Highly recommend Uptown!

Skip ahead to the next paragraph if you'd prefer to be surprised, or if you want to know now read on: contents of swag bag were a little pinball + ball maze-in-one toy, a Pluckers sticker, a temporary tattoo, and a little booklet of activities with stay put hexagonal crayons that kept the kids (and I) entertained while waiting for the food. Only one of the two bags had crayons which, intentional or not, is great for two kids to share. Moss didn't start growing on me but the food took just long enough to arrive to be noticably long- especially when the orders were basic garden salads, wings, and a burger, when the restaurant was at about 55% occupied tables. Our burger also cooled considerably while we waiting for a knife to brought to us. Maybe service is slower at the outdoor space. However, the covered patio here has cute walls such as a 'grammable "i love wings so much" in the style of the popular "i love you so much" wall art off South Congress, and faux grass floor for perennial spring picnic vibes. It's also not as cacophonous as the inside of want to have normal level conversations. Game watching experience is ok. The poorly hung four screen wall at the far end gives a bit of a distorted view. If you're here to watch a particular event, choose your seats carefully. Our food was solid.I love that they have Sriracha ketchup. My side garden salad was basically a full size portion. We ordered "real" food for the kids as their kids menu was the basic American standard of unhealthies of the grilled cheese/corn dog/chicken tenders ilk. Why can't restaurants just make kid portions of everything, instead of a kids menu that makes kids think those are the only things they should be eating? That's grooming for an unhealthy future yes? Speaking of unhealthy future the doggie bag containers are styrofoam. Yipes. Service was fair. Our server was was great. When we asked someone else for a knife it took 15+ minutes. Three stalls in the Chicks room with a faucet that's too close to the sink wall, which makes it awkward for hand washing. I always think of the staff. On the upside, the blue tea is excellent and definitely worth trying. Good deals for the college crowd, but long waits, chaos, occasional smoke, and expensive shots make it hard to fully recommend.
