Our family has used VictorsF Landscaping since 1997. They've been doing an excellent job maintaining our lawn, hedges, and trees. Very good job on spring cleanup. Fall cleanup is done the same. Please avoid this lawn service. In a nutshell, we bought a house in Norridge and inherited his contract so we figured we would ride out the season. Then we constructed a brand new cedar fence and placed flags one foot away so that machinery would not go near it. Additionally, if you look at the email I have included, I thought it was clear that we no longer wanted service. Janet, Victor's employee, using Victor's email, asked on Sept. 30th if we needed to continue service and as you can see, I said no and she acknowledged that reply. Fast forward to October 10th and his crew showed up and proceeded to tear up my lawn as you can see in the pictures and ran over my marker flags. Thankfully the fence was not damaged. You would think a landscaper would know that you do not run heavy machinery on a lawn that is in the process of being repaired one day after heavy rainfall. Not to mention all the product and seed I had just applied was now disrupted and displaced. Anyhow, I call the office and explain that I am not paying for the service since I already emailed Janet and told her to discontinue service. The next day Victor texted me with "You need to call me.", so I did. Let me tell you something, this guy is an absolute trainwreck. He insisted, despite his secretary(that is how he referred to her) using his email and communicating with me, I should have called him directly with my requests. I asked him then why was his employee using his email to communicate regarding scheduling and he simply yelled at me that I do not know how a business runs, trust me, he has no clue, but I digress. At that time I felt it best to just hang up, but alas, Victor does not relent. He called me back and this time I gave what I was getting. He then insisted he would show up to my house to discuss this matter face to face. I told him it would be in his best interest if he did not do that as there was no need and hung up on him again. He is a rude bully of epic proportions and I hope he realizes how prudent it would be for him to simply forget that I exist. Stay away from Victor's Landscaping in Norridge. Absolutely the WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Complete joke!! It has rained 3 days in a row and they came today and cut my lawn!! The yard was under water and they came out to cut!! There is mud and holes in my lawn now!! I called to see why they did this!?!? And they claim my contract is weekly so they had to cut!! After one cut on my lawn, I kindly asked Victor if next time he can trim the weeds. He comes back at me saying that the only way he is going to do that is to pull the weeds and then lay fiberglass so they don't grow back. So he said he wasn't going to trim them. They just cut your grass, poorly at that. The timing was poor or not done at all. I noticed bare spots from the lawnmower. It appears they tore up my grass. Mid summer I looked at my grass and said it never looked so bad. I called Victor to look at the job twice. He said he will talk to the crew. Also a few other issues, never changed. I received a call days later to follow-up and check if I was satisfied with the quality of service. Just today, after having to shovel our own walkways and sidewalks for the past 6 days, the crew came by and threw a few handfuls of salt down on top of the drifted snow of our walkways and left. They did not shovel our stairs or the back walk ways. A call to the company yielded no resolution. We are looking for a new company for our landscaping and shovel removal needs. Victor's landscaping deserves minus stars! They are sooo bad and rude! Victor's brother does not show up to cut your lawn on a regular basis. He constantly changes your cut day and lies! It is NOT just because it rained or there was a holiday. Normally, your cut would then be the following day if it rained or there was a holiday. But NOT with Victor's temperamental brother. He makes his own rules and lies every week! His equipment doesn't work most of the time because he obviously does NOT sharpen his mower blades and maintain his equipment. Terrible communication and service. They don't show up when they say they are going to. No one ever answers the phone either. I've left several messages on multiple occasions and rarely receive a call back. They never did my fall clean up so my yard was a mess the entire winter and it was a HUGE effort on my part to get them to do a spring clean up. After that they just never showed up again even though I've had several conversations with the secretary. I would strongly suggest NEVER using them for any service. Victor also called my husband a "chicken" bc he emailed him when we couldn't get ahold of someone at either the business line or Victor's cell phone. I hired Victor for major cleanup, laying sod & redoing my driveway. I was so impressed by the professional job they did and how nice everything came out. I had a big area which was packed down with pea gravel that had removed, add new soil & sod. The workers spent a lot of time prepping the area, which also include digging up buried cinder blocks before laying the sod. My driveway came out beautifully, they even added extra soil on the sides to level it. The entire job took 3 days, and everyday, they cleaned up everything, including the alley before they left. They were all so polite and kept me informed on the process. I am so happy with the work they did. I would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them. Thank you so much !! read more

The services offered are done with sub par workmanship. The workers have no knowledge to what is and isn't a weed let alone what a flowerbed is. They cut a quarter of an acre in ten minutes. If they trim they don't do the full job. Debries blown is not picked up but hidden. Scheduled services are not done or followed up by management. So, where do I start with this guy. They burned the lawn in spots due to fertilizer, rarely empty the basket on the lawn mower leaving dead grass cl I must all over and only edge the front of the property, not the sides or back. When called out out the different color grass due to the fertilizer every excuse came out, too much water, too much shade, not enough sun - but it was in straight lines. He even told me our grass was "old". Who knew that was a thing. Week 2 - clumps of dead grass, not edged, grass clippings and debris not cleaned up so I called and left a message. When he called me back 5 his later I told him it was a problem if I had to call him every week to complain about the lack of service. His response - "what do you expect for 20$ a week" I told him I wanted his guys to do the job right. He told me to stick my 20$ a week up my ass, then told me he didn't need "people like you and your wife calling and bothering me every week". When asked what people like me and my wife were he said "pieces of shit", and told me to stick my "contract up my ass". This guy has an ass fetish I guess. We paid 5 weeks in advance and I told him he could keep the 40$ for service provided (such as it was) but I wanted 60 refunded and he told me he would mail me a refund and ......yup, I could "stick it up my ass". My Uncle who is terminally ill with Stage 4 Cancer, has deemed me P.O.A of all of his affairs. Victor Landscaping has done his lawn care for him. I called them to come and do clean up of weeds growing in my Uncle's back yard along the fence. I received a bill for over $100.00 which I paid. Next time I was at his house I went to see the finished product and NO CLEANUP had occurred. The weeds were still there. I called Victor's Landscaping again. They promised they would go out again. They never did. I then called them to say suspend all lawn care from October to April. The company went out in November and billed us $154.00 for Lawn Care Clean up in November. I called the company and left 3 messages with no return call. Finally I said I would not pay the bill until I received a call. Victor from Victor's Landscaping. I explained what my issue was and he stated "All I wanted to do was sell my Uncle's house to get all of the money". I was highly insulted that this man would say anything to me , when he didn't even know me. I told him he was fired and he should never go to my Uncle's house again. He said if I didn't pay the bill from November by Monday, 12-19-16 he would put a lean on my uncle's house. We will pay the final bill but I want everyone to know what a terrible business man Victor is and how horrible he took advantage of a dying man who had been his customer for years because he thought no one was keeping track. DO NOT USE! I paid to have my stairs and walkway re-bricked in 2013. The walkway leading out to the sidewalk does not go in a straight line out to the sidewalk.They cut my pavers directly on top of my lawn, which needed to be sodded afterwards. I have had them out to reattach bricks from the stairs twice already. I need 6 bricks on the first step replaced again this year. Victor wants to charge me to correct what was not done correctly to start with. He stated that, "he had already been out to fix". However, Victor did not "fix" the recurring faulty brick work. This is not just cosmetic, it is a safety concern. Victor was very rude on the phone, telling me to "not to have my kids jump on the stairs". I found the customer service poor. Every interaction on the phone was abrasive. Follow-up calls or actual work was 1-2 hours late. I asked to be there when the work was being done and they showed up late and I had to leave or I could have told them what I wanted corrected.
