Great atmosphere. My wife loves the man sized mimosas. Service was quick this morning(Thursday). Specials can be hit and miss.

This is a great little café and it looks older, but I like that vintage look in cabin field in the small town. The service was really great and the ambience wasn't noisy at all, and it was really accommodating when you needed something and what not. The food is really good and I highly recommend getting the burger, especially the chicken. Great for lunch or brunch or dinner so come on in if you're stopping by this town in Bend! read more

Breakfast at Victorian Cafe was wonderful. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious with generous portions. My husband enjoyed the Huevos mazatlan and I enjoyed the hobo potatoes. I chose the scone for my side and it was so good. We were stuffed by the end but wanted to try their pancakes so our server suggested we just order one, which we did and it was also really good. I also recommend the coffee. It was fairly quiet when we went so we were able to chat, which was really nice. We found Victorian Cafe on a list for the best breakfast in Bend, and it did not disappoint! read more

Dropped in here on a short trip to bend and was excited to try it after receiving glowing recommendations from 3 different people. Got in around 830AM on a Sunday and there was plenty of parking and seating available. Inside was a cute little space that felt like a converted house, not quiet but not loud. We were quickly brought waters by a busser and then sat without being noticed for about 15 minutes before being greeted by the server. Looked like she may have been on break, okay fine. She smiled and took our order quickly enough, we got the blueberry pancakes and the breakfast burrito. Plus two coffees. Breakfast burrito was okay. Kind of bland on the flavor - expected some character from the sausage but was kind of all uniform in taste . The blueberry pancakes were pretty much totally raw in the middle - liquid pancake mix and cold blueberries. My partner ate around the edge and we didn't want to send it back and be a pain. Coffee was warm and full for the duration. Overall Victorian cafe was... fine. Nothing to write home over. Price a little high for what felt like a pretty mediocre experience. Not likely to return next time I'm in bend. read more

While Bend isn't known for cheap eats, this place is pricey for being very average. They are known for their bloody Marys and Benedicts so I've tried a few hoping to find what people rave about. Bloody Mary mix tastes just like a basic store bought mix, a bit more lemon forward flavor which makes it a little sour. They start at $11 and go up to $24 for the novelty Mary with a meatball and novelty sides added. Still just an average drink. The food is okay - generally tasty, basic good flavors, etc. But absolutely nothing special. The biscuits, gravy, muffins, hollandaise tastes store bought. The biscuit and gravy reminded me of a hotel breakfast option. The breakfast potatoes are often partially undercooked and under seasoned. All the dishes I've tried remind me of a basic diner breakfast- good in its own right - but for $18, $20, $25 a plate? Gave it the college try as people keep raving about it but after multiple tries I give up on this place. I'd recommend you pass on this overrated place. Go to a diner or for a more unique great breakfast head to Chow, about a mile away on Newport. read more

Very unique, excellent food. We got earth harvest Benedict. Sweet potatoes and kale topped with a basil hollandaise sauce. This one was my favorite. Walla Walla Omelet - an omelet with apple and Gorgonzola cheese. Who would have thought to put apple in an omelet but it works. Wheat scone - nice and simple :) I appreciate it wasn't covered in icing. For sides, got potatoes (delicious!) and apple sauce ( which we did not care for.. it was way too sweet for my taste) Over all unique and good food. Excellent services. A little bit of a wait time even on off hour of week day. Not sure how packed this place would be on weekend. read more

I just had one of the best meals I've had in Bend. The Morel mushrooms on my prime Benedict were probably the highest quality mushrooms I've ever had. Shae was our server. She was absolutely lovely and did an amazing job. If you're in Bend this is a must! read more

Well, my wife told me about this place how there are lines out the door waiting to eat here. So we went during the week and got a table no problem. The problem is the food, mediocre at best, our shared omelet resembled scrambled eggs push together to resemble an omelette, lukewarm and soggy potatoes and a scone that was dry with little flavor, bacon folded over itself as if were thrown onto the plate.....if you want fruit instead of potatoes there's a $5 uncharge! The bill........nearly $40! Sorry to the owners of this establishment but if you can't make a proper omelet and breakfast potatoes you either need to up your game or the neighborhood needs another breakfast joint as competition. As far as being the "best breakfast" in Bend.......I'd call that a specious claim at best. read more

Monday morning. The place was packed. For good reason-we quickly found 2 seats at the bar and began one of the best breakfast experiences we've had in a long time. From the Bloody Mary, coffee, spicy fried chicken Benedict, banana cream pie French toast, and biscuits and gravy..... all superb! One can't possibly visit Bend without stopping in for breakfast at the Vic. There's a reason why this restaurant has been voted the #1 place for breakfast in Bend! Not only do they have a vast breakfast menu, they also have awesome specialty drinks. I'd recommend adding your name to the waitlist or dining earlier in the morning to avoid a wait. Luckily, we arrived to the restaurant early in the morning so there was no wait for a table. The most difficult part about dining here is deciding what to order as everything sounds utterly delicious ! We ordered and enjoyed - Carnivore omelet- filled with lots of meat and I loved the house made andouille sausage in the omelet. Big easy Benedict- wow! This dish was tasty and we enjoyed the prawns in the Benny. New England seafood cakes eggs Benedict This was my favorite dish out of the three items we ordered! The seafood cake contained lobster, scallops and shrimp in the Benny. This was a special. If it is available I highly suggest ordering it! Great service and amazing food.. I'm a fan! I had awoken from a drunken slumber with a belly full of Rye Lemondrops and Virgin Daiquiris. After just a wink of sleep, I had an intense and debilitating craving for an eggs benedict. I stumbled upon this spot from a sky mall magazine (I am an American Airlines Executive Platinum member) that I read on the flight into Bend. I had intended to pass out pamphlets for tantric chakra hospice care, but my birkenstock strap busted in the parking lot as I walked towards Victorian Cafe from mustard yellow PT Cruiser (it's new). Let me tell you, those pamphlets were more scrambled than my eggs (i've already gone through menopause). After approaching the establishment with a parking lot as congested as my deviated septum, I was greeted by a sweet lady who put me on the 2 hour waitlist to get in. Because of my height (I am 6'4, and have a fused L2 and L3) I was thankful for the freedom of open air. To my understanding, they do not have Lemondrops, so I was unfortunately dangerously dehydrated. I am not fully literate so they offered to read the menu for me. It's a bit of a hefty menu, which I am extremely grateful for, but my helper got so tired after reading only half of the menu that he had to swap in someone else for the role while he recovered. Let me tell you, the eggnog cheese curds are out of this world (it's a "secret" menu item, just ask your waiter for the Alamo special.) My eyes watered over the neighboring parties onion omelet. As my lips blistered like a shishito pepper on a hot cast iron i quenched my thirst with a cock and bull ginger beer. For about a decade, i've been having intense and personal medical issues related to dehydration. My lips are chronically chapped, which is why I mentioned earlier about not having Lemondrops - no hate on the restaurant but I think it's important for others like me to be aware. My food was fantastic. My eye patch (voluntary) eclipsed my vision a bit but I know even if i were able to see the full plate it would have been a vision to behold. For my fellow optical occlusion friends, it is very dimly lit. I needed to be very careful, especially considering my defunct birkenstocks. I have a habit of taking souvenirs from any travels, and I knew this was going to be a place to remember. I snuck into the men's room after being disinterested in the women's offerings (the dire circumstances in men's bathrooms tends to remind me of my time in county). I spotted a painting above the urinal, but as I peeled the frame from the wall, I heard a knock. I was quick to throw the painting into my Eastpack before leaving. Normally, I would have replaced the missing wall art with something, but since my pamphlets had already scattered in the parking lot, I was unable. Side note unrelated to the food, the bathroom is INCREDIBLY CLEAN. The can even tastes like Lysol! overall all 7 out 38 stars. read more

Can't speak to the food but we'd stopped in for the signature 24oz Bloody Mary and were very impressed. It's basically a tiny meal- the andouille meatballs are crispy and to die for! After we finished these, we enjoyed the Triple Threat and the Victorian Chocolate Winter on the heated benches near the fire pits out front. The VCW was basically a creamy amaretto chocolate milk and I would drink it every day if I could. We definitely plan to return for breakfast/lunch in the near future! read more

It took about 20 minutes to get a menu. I sat at the bar. Also, to the owner, please fix the bar for shorter people. The part of the bar that sticks out is ridiculously big. We are always up for trying a new place. This time my wife searched Yelp! for a good place for a Saturday Brunch. Victorian Cafe sounded like a good place to try. Waze took us there; but, in my opinion, not by the best route. The very small parking lot was full. We found a spot on the street about a block away. It was a chilly day and we were surprised at the number of hardy souls eating outside. Once in the door we were greeted and quickly added to the waiting list. Almost immediately my phone received a text tells me that we were on the waiting list. Less than 10 minutes later, I received a text notifying me that our table was ready. We were seated at a table for two in a room around the corner from the bar. We were given three menus: specialities, lunch, and breakfast. I was going to ordered the Basic Benedict; but, was distracted but the Hot Chicken Benedict with potatoes. My wife ordered a California Omelette with a scone. We both ordered coffee and small orange juice. The scone was very good. I really liked the potatoes. If you like a spicy breakfast the Hot Chicken Benedict is for you. You might consider the parking situation a negative; but, there seems to be plenty of street parking nearby. My only negative with the food was that the coffee was on the weak side. I like a strong dark roast coffee. We will be returning to Victorian Cafe. read more

An excellent place for breakfast! Get here early or make a reservation because they are almost always slammed, especially on Saturdays! The Pacific Crab Benedict offers a delicious combo of flavors. I especially like the red peppers. It would be nice to see hatch peppers someday. It was just okay. Maybe we went with high expectations after seeing so many good reviews. I had the blueberry pancakes that were very dry and I could detect a faint onion flavor. Were they were cooked on a surface that previously cooked onions? My partner had Eggs Benedict which was good although the potatoes with it were smashed and unappetizing. We were looking forward to a good cup of coffee and that also was disappointing- watered-down or weak flavored. We will not be returning. read more

Service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. Whoever is cooking eggs in the kitchen needs to find a new job. Had THE worst overcooked omelet I've ever had! The only good thing on my plate was the homemade scone. My wife's eggs ordered "scrambled cooked soft" were scrambled cooked extra dry. Hate to leave a bad review for a place that has so much potential, but there's much better breakfast options in Bend.
