Within the hour, they arrived and gave a most reasonable estimate. A crew was onsite within 30 minutes and by lunch time, all debris had been cleared, shredded, raked up and blown clean. Very large branches caught in other tree tops nearby were carefully removed. An amazing and swift job. He pointed out other trees that would be in need of trimming later in the year to reduce risks. I am very pleased with the service provided by Riverbend. The arborist (Brian) came out, listened…read moreto my concerns, and provided a good plan. I had quotes from two other firms, and Riverbend's quote was very competitive and, more importantly, didn't try to upsell me. Brian was also the only one who suggested delaying some of the trimming until my vegetable garden was dormant since it would be difficult to do the work without the risk of having the workers step on my garden plants to do the trimming. The crew was efficient and did a fantastic job of cleaning up afterwards. The crew chief (Benjamin) walked me through the work before they started to make sure everything was addressed, and walked me through the work after completion to make sure all was done to my satisfaction. It was a pleasure working with him. Another distinguishing point is Riverbend's office staff. I was able to get to a real person quickly when I called (a rarity these days). Everyone I spoke with was polite, efficient, and very helpful. Riverbend is an excellent company and I would highly recommend them (and plan to use them for all my tree work from now on).

Ortega's price was by far the best, which initially caught our attention--but the quality of their work is what really impressed us. I was so impressed that I'm already having them come back to take care of some dead limbs on one of our old oak trees. The tree is healthy, and we want to keep it that way. One of the trees was very large, very old, and in a difficult spot to manage; the other was in dire need of attention with innumerable twisting branches and broken limbs. John was very attentive to communication via email and very accommodating over the winter when snow forced delays. The very best part was the job he and his crew performed. My wife and I couldn't believe how much cleaner and open the trees looked. And there was zero debris left behind when the job was done. I'm pretty sure they even cleared some of the older fallen branches that weren't a result of the work they'd done. To top off the service, John came out about a year prior and gave us a quote and explained many things we should consider. We were financially unable to pursue the trimming at the time, and 10 months later he still honored his first estimate. After the job was complete, John stopped by again to talk about the work, discuss what they'd done, why they'd done it, and then proceeded to walk to every other tree (young and old) on our property and give advice and suggestions on how to care for the trees. I would recommend John and Jack-the-Ripper Certified Arborists to anyone in the area. We've seen other arborists give quotes and bids in our neighborhood and community and the resulting jobs that the homeowners were left with and we're very happy that we chose Jack-the-Ripper Certified Arborists. The price was fair and honest. The work was outstanding. The customer service was incredible. And John genuinely seems like a great guy who cares about the job, wants to give good advice, and is willing to take the time to talk to the home owners and answer all questions asked. Highly recommended! Thank you!!
