Well my family loves a great biscuit so when we saw this place was opening, we wanted to try it to see how it compares with some of our favorite biscuits. The place was packed on a Saturday morning, but we had called in our order and the pick up was quite quick. Despite a few modifications for dietary reasons and items requested on the side for ease of travel, everything was correct. We got several containers to take some of their homemade jams (apple pie, strawberry, blueberry ghost pepper, peach habanero) and butters (honey, sweet potato, and maple bourbon) with us. We tried a couple of the crab bennies, the old-school breakfast, the Belgian waffle and bacon, the gravy train, and the Babe. We all thought the biscuits were good. They were light and fluffy and quite large. The sweet potato waffle had good flavor, but it was perhaps a little dense for my liking. The house cowboy bacon was delicious, as was the bbq pork on the Babe and the crab benedicts were devoured. We loved the fact that they had housemade butters and jams, some of which were quite unique, and all of which we enjoyed trying on our biscuits. After trying Vicious Biscuit I'm not entirely sure if I like the food or not. We started with a Bloody Mary and mimosa, it was pretty standard. Next we had the fried green tomatoes. They weren't great. There wasn't any seasoning or flavor despite the fact that there was red seasoning on top of the breading but it didn't taste like anything. Salt and pepper would have gone along way here. The pimento cheese was good, but the bacon jam tasted like burnt bacon grease, scrapped straight from a pan and onto a plate, we were not a fan. For our mains we had the Fat boy and the flame thrower. I added an egg to the fat boy thinking they would put it on the biscuit, it was over cooked and added to the side. Both biscuits come with chicken tossed in a sauce and was very soggy. Not crisp. But tasted ok. The texture wasn't great. The biscuits that came with the sandwiches were good. The cheddar & jalapeño was definitely the favorite there. Overall, it was just ok. The service was fine, the line out the door looks long but moves fast. You order everything at the counter then take a seat with a number. It does take awhile to get your food so be prepared to wait a bit. Oh, I am an absolute die-hard biscuit fan, and Vicious Biscuit did not disappoint. My teen and I went on a rare day off from school. We arrived right before the lunch crowd, which was perfect. The employee was very welcoming and helped with some suggestions, after hearing it was our first time, and I appreciated her patience. After some debate, my 14 year old ordered The Flame Thrower (the kid loves spicy) and I got the Fat Boy. We also got the Jalapeño Cheddar Pups to share. The pups were essentially hush puppies with cheese and pepper. They weren't particularly spicy but they were hot and light with a yummy dipping sauce. We took a lot of them home, and hey were just as delicious the next day (both cold and heated up). Biscuits were large, light and fluffy. Both sandwiches came with moist, tender fried chicken. His was tossed in Buffalo sauce, while mine was more plain. He loved the candied bacon and spicy drizzle on his. I thought the hot honey on mine was a great touch, and while there was A LOT of pimiento cheese, it was one of the best pimento cheeses I've ever had. This is a new breakfast-brunch-lunch place at the beaches. It is a nice addition. You will order before you seat yourself. The drinks are bottled or self serve coffee, water, tea station. It's set up for really efficient service where you order at the counter, get a table number, and a server quickly brings the food out to you. I loved the jam bar, so you can just go up and serve yourself any and all flavors you want without having to ask (and pay extra) for them. My favorite was the apple pie jam. Now the biscuits: first, they're huge! They're way larger than typical biscuit size and I was really full after just a biscuit sandwich, OJ, and coffee. I ordered the Hen Solo (just chicken and a biscuit) and it was awesome. I got a large piece of chicken that was lightly fried (not greasy) on a really moist biscuit that was more dense than fluffy, which I prefer. My husband had the Nashville Hot Chicken and loved it too. The ingredients are all high quality, like the fresh-squeezed orange juice- yum. These are the best biscuits I've ever eaten! I ordered the Fat Boy which is a chicken and pimento cheese biscuit, a side of two scrambled eggs - which isn't listed as a side on the menu but they happily made it for me. I like eggs with my breakfast. I also ordered their Vmimosa which includes vodka and cranberry juice. We ordered at the counter, chose a table and our food was out in minutes. My girlfriend had to ask someone walking by for the orange juice that she ordered and the Vmimosa tasted watered down to me (I'm not one to waste liquor but I left it on the table more than half full) but everything else was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I was supposed to go to Grumpy's with my two girlfriends, but that did not happen. I stumbled across Vicious Biscuit(located right across the street from Grumpy's)! Well, needless to say, I could not resist the temptation to dine here instead, so I did. I bought a coozie and went for the big breakfast. I still had my coffee from the hotel. I ordered, paid and received a water cup and my number to display at my table for them to find me when my order was ready. I chose to dine outside. While I was enjoying my breakfast, I noticed people going to their tables with a drink that looked like Mimosa's! I'll have to get one next visit. Nothing like enjoying a great meal. I loved to self serve spreads for your biscuit. They had flavored butters and jellies. I left happy and full. The biscuit was delicious! PS: I am in the "dog house" now for ditching my girlfriends. My review is written from a gluten-free perspective. Overall, I would definitely go back because of the care and attention to detail they take with their food. Also, having a large gluten free selection always gains my repeat business. All of the biscuits are made from scratch about an hour before opening. This includes the gluten-free biscuits. Today, they were a bit doughy, and under salted. Because they are scratch made, I imagine this could vary from day to day. I would try the biscuits as they are one more time to see if that's consistent. If it is, I would just ask them to cook my biscuit a little bit longer, and I would salt on top of the butter when eating it plain with jam. Once you have the really salty ham and the well seasoned egg and sauce on top, you don't notice as much that the biscuit itself is under salted. Despite it being under to my taste, the texture was amazing. It was crunchy on the bottom and chewy throughout. It's really hard to achieve that in gluten-free so huge props to the baker. I'm pretty critical on biscuits because I make my own that come out exceptional. If anyone else bakes, I'm happy to share that recipe. But it is labor-intensive so if I can just buy a ready to go biscuit, even if it's not as good, I'm very interested in that from time to time. The hollandaise sauce is no gluten added. Lots of restaurants thicken their hollandaise with flour so it's always worth asking. A ton of the menu is fried chicken. I was unimpressed until I started asking more questions. They brine all of their chicken in house. They flour the chicken immediately before frying, so they can easily grill the chicken instead of flowering, then frying. So if you're OK with grilled over fried chicken, then much more of the menu is available to you. I recommend going and checking it out! read more

OMG, where do I begin. I don't hand out 5 stars very often. But the Vicious Benny was the best ever. The Hollandaise was silky smooth and creamy. Eggs were over easy with a great yoke. Thick slice of smoked ham and a sprinkle of chives and paprika. All served on a very fluffy large buttermilk biscuit. Service was very menu knowledgeable and knew the answers. Management understands the importance of Table Touch and checked with his customers as to their satisfaction about the quality. Comfortable seating and even Al Fresco area. We ordered the following 3 biscuits to share: Holy City Cubano - This one really surprised me. The pork was moist and flavorful. The seared biscuit held up really well. It was a better Cuban sandwich than most places and the fact that it was on a biscuit made it even better. The Fat Boy - My favorite of the bunch! The spicy honey drizzle was phenomenal! We snagged a table outside and then I got in line... expect long lines around this time on the weekends. The staff were all really friendly, especially with my dog. They brought him a water bowl and gave him some love. It was really sweet. We ordered two biscuits, the Vicious Beignets and sides of fruit and potatoes. The food was really good. They use pimento on a lot of their dishes. I really like that they have different biscuits you can choose from like regular or cheddar jalapeño biscuit. The biscuits were tasty and flaky but fell apart easily. You can't really pick up and eat the whole thing without it falling apart. The beignets were delicious. It was a big order for 2 people so there's plenty to share. The whipped cream was so fresh and light. So good! It was really nice to sit outside with our dog and enjoy our brunch.
