I specifically requested short nails because I'm an EMT and need to keep my nails short in order to safely and effectively perform my job. I was charged an additional $10, which I was not expecting, and unfortunately I wasn't able to get a clear explanation of the charge due to the communication barrier. During the filing process, my hands were handled very aggressively, and the filing caused cuts/broken skin on almost all of my fingers. I also wasn't happy with the shape of my nails, as they looked very chunky and uneven. I asked if they could be reshaped, but I was told there wasn't enough time to do so, while I was still expected to pay the full price; even though I came in at 12pm :/ I completely understand that mistakes and misunderstandings can happen, but I left feeling very disappointed, especially because I hadn't had my nails done in months and was really looking forward to this appointment. After being a loyal customer for 8 years, I expected a much better experience. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously, as I would hate for one disappointing appointment to overshadow the many good experiences I've had here over the years.
