I was hesitant to leave a review since several coworkers recommended this pet sitting company to me, but I feel it's important to share my experience. I booked two 30-minute drop-in visits for total of $60 per day because house sitting wasn't available (which would be around $70 per night). Unfortunately, most visits seemed to last only about 10-15 minutes recorded by our door entry log. Pet sitters I've used from other companies have always stayed the full time, even if my shy cat, Kingsley, didn't come out right away, so they could slowly gain his trust and ensure he received his medication. This sitter seemed to be in a rush and didn't put in the same effort, which was disappointing given the importance of his care. I did let the sitter know that if it was impossible to dose him, it would be ok but I thought eventually she would be able to coax him out to give it to him like my past sitters. read more

I do not know what I would do without Stacey. We started using Stacey in 2022 and haven't looked back. She has stayed with our pups twice a year ever since. She takes amazing care of the dogs and follows every request I give her. She keeps them safe and loved. Both of my pups has separation anxiety and they are both so calm with Stacey. In October 2024 Stacey had surgery half way through our vacation so she had Danni come stay with our pups. Then the unthinkable happened and while on vacation we got hit by a hurricane and were not allowed to fly out of Florida. We had to stay an extra two days. Danni stepped up and stayed with the pups and allowed me to not worry about them. She literally was a life saver to us and thank you isn't enough. It's bad enough we had to worry about a hurricane, changing flight plans and extending our hotel, but to worry about someone staying with your pups was something Danni allowed me to not have to worry about! Stacey is never allowed to retire because that means I can't vacation anymore. There is no one else I trust with my pets. She allows me to actually enjoy my vacation because I know my babies are beyond taken care of! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Stacie and her crew! I am dealing with a second medically challenged kitty in 5 years and had been very hesitant about leaving town. A neighbor introduced me to Stacie and VPSP. I like to get a house sitter, but the challenge is there are often there are pills, injections, special diets etc. that I can't expect my sitters to do. But these are my babies. Stacie has helped with my older CKD cat who needs daily SQ fluids. She worked with my house sitter at the time and came by every day to manage treatments, feed everyone, and give some love & attention. I was extremely thrilled to find this organization! We have 3 little dogs and we were verging on not going on our little trip. Our dogs are part of our family and it didn't feel right to leave them behind. Additionally one of our dogs has congestive heart failure and needed some extra TLC. Another 1 is fairly elderly. But Alas the day was saved by Kara.. She came by and met the dogs so that she was not a stranger. We paid for the overnight visits and asked for her to stay as much as she wanted because the dogs are used to my parents being around at all times. Essentially I think she did stay for a lot of the trip while we were gone. Not only was this able to be arranged but actually arranged on somewhat short notice AND also I had confidence in the care she would give. Kara took really good care of our babies and even checked in nearly every day with pictures and to make sure that we were knowing our babies were taking care of.... definitely definitely definitely would recommend this service to anyone. And it ended up being cheaper than the kettles around which I never want to use for my dog's. I have a very hard time with the concept of leaving my babies in a kennel... I really welcomed the idea of having some knowledgeable vet technicians and generally people that love dogs take care of our dogs.. Definitely recommended. read more

Kara gained our dog's trust, who has BIG EMOTIONS, faster than anyone I have seen. She kept him engaged by taking him to fun outings at multiple parks and around the neighborhood. The enrichment she provided kept him from having his destructive behaviors and kept him from chasing the cats. With her background as a Veterinary Technician, I was comfortable leaving her in charge of medications for my pets. And when I got home, my house was cleaner than when we left. Kara Sinnott watched my dogs while we went out of town. I have a mini Aussie, a Shepard and a 135 lbs Rottweiler. I was concerned the shepard may be worried about her & she might feel intimidated by my Rottweiler. She came over before hand to meet them. My Rotti sat the couch beside her & she casually rested her arm on him while looking at her phone. It was indirect connection.... "I'm here, but not in your face." That impressed me & her energy was spot on. My shepared didn't pay much attention to her at the meeting. I told her of my concerns about my shepard. The dog is cautious of strangers & a love bug to those she knows. She sent me a picture that relieved any concerns! Everything was as it should be when I got home. I can't say enough good things about Stacey and her petsitting business! My elderly cat is my best friend, and he got sick right before I left for a two week trip abroad. I had friends watching him, but I was worried sick about leaving him without a professional to assess his condition, give him fluids and meds when needed, syringe feed him if he wasn't eating, and to know when a vet visit was necessary. I googled "vet tech pet sitters) and happened upon VPSP, and I'm so glad I did! Stacey picked up the phone right away and assured me she was personally available to watch my guy. She came over within the half hour to meet him, discuss his care, etc. I immediately felt comfortable with her! She's friendly, down to earth, great with cats, and super smart. It was such a good feeling to discuss my cat's bloodwork and symptoms with someone who really understood them. I felt a million times better leaving him, knowing she would be able to really tell if he was improving, staying the same, or getting worse. Stacey gave me daily updates so I knew exactly what was going on at home. She provided excellent supportive care (fluids, meds, a variety of food and treats, and syringe feeding) as well as keeping tabs on the litter box and feeding my other cat. Gemini (sick cat) obviously liked her, to, as apparently he didn't give her any trouble and enjoyed her visits! Fortunately, my guy started feeling better and was back to normal in a few days, but I'm confident she would have known if something was wrong. I was surprised by her very reasonable rates and responsiveness! She even checked in after I was home to see how Gem was doing. I also really appreciated get professionalism, as the business is licensed and bonded, everyone is a licensed vet tech, and the paperwork was very thorough (you can really tell they have experience in vet offices!). I recommend Stacey and her crew to anyone whose animal is special needs, senior, ill, or just needs some extra care! I already recommended VPSP to a friend who needed a sitter for get terminally ill kitty, and I'm telling everyone who will listen about this amazing new business! Thrilled to have finally found professional and excellent care for our dog/bunny/chicken menagerie through VPS! We had a great first experience with Jessica recently and feel like going away without our animal kids is actually on the table for us now. I found out about VPS through my sister, a veterinary care coordinator, and subsequently learned Stacey is the vet tech who's cat-care prowess my good friend has been raving about for years. Having had a challenging time finding anyone willing/capable of caring for 4 indoor/outdoor bunnies, we were excited to learn Jessica was available to provide 24/7 in-home care for them and our 7 chickens. As sensitive as rabbits and chickens can be, it was important for us to have a trained professional who can recognize warning signs of illness keeping an eye on them. At our meet and greet with Jessica, we learned she had grown up with rabbits and used to show Silkie chickens. It was obvious Jessica was eager to bond with our animals and not at all intimidated by everyone's unique needs! As the need to communicate came up before our trip, both Jessica and Stacey were easy to reach and always quick to respond. The days we were away, Jessica sent text/email updates with pictures, asked questions as things came up with the animals and house and...music to our ears...told us she'd fallen in love with our bunnies. It was clear from the pictures, the bunnies were curious about their new friend, trusted her and were receiving lots of affection. Jessica made no issue of cleaning up bunny and chicken mess (it can be a lot!) and was also willing to water plants in the yard.
