Chicken Marsala with Spaghetti with oil and garlic

Let me start by saying the server Jordan was top notch. The food however was not what I was expecting at all. My chicken parm was so chewy and dry and drenched in sauce with no cheese. The sauce had a spice to it that wasn't very good. My husband had the Marsala which had great in flavor but again the chicken was chewy and dry. The pasta was suppose to have garlic and oil and it was dry... It was our first time and our last time going. I was truly disappointed.

I've had good experiences here, and mediocre experiences. I remember the first time I went, the chicken francese was very good. But the second time, the chicken francese was a little chewy. However, I came here last weekend, and I have to say they definitely redeemed themselves! Let's first start off with the hostess that seated us. She was super super sweet and friendly. Our waitress was also very friendly and attentive. We didn't get a bread basket as soon as we sat down (which they normally bring out), and once she noticed, she immediately went and got us some bread. The bread basket consists of pieces of plain bread and they bring out butter which is shaped as little circle balls. For appetizer we ordered the bruschetta and fried mozzarella. I thought the bruschetta was very good, but someone else in my party wasn't crazy about it. I liked that the bread wasn't overly hard, and I thought it had good flavor. The fried mozzarella is really good but there are only 4 pieces in the order. I wish there was at least 5. For entree, we ordered the chicken francese, and the chicken parm. Our dishes came with salad and pasta. I ordered the Caesar salad and the penne alla vodka pasta. Both were sooo delicious!! The chicken francese and chicken parm were also good. My favoriteeee part of the night was the Italian cheesecake! It was absolutely fantastic! I think it's probably the best Italian cheesecake I've ever had! We also had the spumoni, which was really really good too! The cappuccino was delicious also and it came with a biscotto. Ambiance is pretty. You can wear jeans or a dress, whatever you prefer. They also have a bar area which is really nice too. My only complaint about this place is that the temperature in the room kept getting very very cold and then hot. Bill was $230 (tip not included) for 4 people. Not bad at all! Will definitely be back and I totally recommend this place!!

The ambiance, the nice building and the ample parking lot go a long way for this restaurant. It's decorated beautifully and the music is great. The coffee was strong, hot and delicious. The service was on point. The mozzarella appetizer was delicious. The Caesar salad was good, could have been fresher, you can't sleep on Caesar salad. Keep away from heat, shake and serve. Ours waited a bit too long and was pretty wilty by the time we got it. I ordered the chicken saltimbocca. Unfortunately it was not good at all. It said it was made with Madeira wine but I don't think so. It was so sweet, it was inedible. There was very little cheese and a large man's fistful of spinach. I tried to eat the plain chicken, but it was flavorless except for so much sugar. Not even garlic, I was really surprised it was so bad. That fact that it was $32 really bothers me. I will go back and try an easier dish. I want to believe this was an off night with a substitute chef or some other extenuating circumstance. I really wanted to try a Fall drink but I was driving. Next time!

I really enjoyed my main course and the sangria. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday. I will say the Cesar salad was delicious and so was the tortellini Alfredo. The flavor of the Alfredo sauce was quite delicious. We had some appetizers as well which were ok. We had the mozzarella sticks but they were overly cooked; almost burned. I did not like the bruschetta; the flavor of it was not very good. The garlic bread was ok but it did not have enough garlic. My sister ordered the bolognese and it was good as well. My niece had the chicken Parmesan but she did not like it. I thought it was ok but the noodles were a bit overcooked for me. The service was good; our waitress was nice. The food was good but I think there are other place which are better. I am not sure if I would be back. If you are in the area; I do think it would be worth a stop.

Fun, family friendly Italian restaurant with many tables. Staff is so kind and patient. Menu is huge, with endless combinations. You won't leave hungry, that's for sure! The calamari is good - crispy. I got the lemon veal with capers but it was overly oily/buttery. Would recommend vodka sauce on your pasta side (though it is an extra charge). The Caesar salad was good too. Prices are fair for the amount of food you get!

Upon entry, it was as though you walked in to a quaint Italian restaurant on a summer evening. We were immediately greeted and seated for a table of three. The place was quiet and feels private at your table. We were greeted with requests to see if we would like to place an order for drinks. There were a good selection of wines though we do not drink. Water, bread & an adorable mini charcuterie was placed on our table as we look over the menu. There were many options but haven't had good pasta in awhile I decided to order the seafood pasta while my siblings ordered linguini with clams & beef carpaccio (third person was not very hungry). While we sit and enjoy the free table tasting, we enjoyed the ambiance and conversation. Food was freshly prepared and quickly came to the table. All meals were asked if we would like fresh black pepper and grated cheese. Oh my! The pasta were perfect all dente with the sauce full of flavor and creamy that you just want the second bite, the third until you finish the full plate. I so wanted to try other dishes since I was utterly delighted. The table all had the sentiments. We all agree we must come back. The owner stopped by the table to greet us and gave us a little of his story as I was curious how he came to Catskills and open this wonderful place! All to summarize, the service was wonderful! Food delicious, great place to have for celebration and intimate for a date. I highly recommend this place! Definitely coming back!

Light, fresh and perfectly balanced with a touch of sweetness from the mango. We followed with seared sea scallops with a creamy white wine sauce. The slight acidity of the wine and rich buttery sauce paired perfectly to complement the sweet scallops. For my entree, I had a broiled branzino with grilled vegetables. The branzino was lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked, moist and flaky! We finished our dinner with classic tiramisu. Rich and creamy! Can't wait to go back for another meal!

The chicken parmesan was excellent, but the lasagna was Out of this World amazing, the best I've ever had. Pasta was so silky tasting, light & airy. Perfect. The portion size was also ginormous, but I managed to finish it all ! Loved it. Marinara sauce was also spot on. The bread that came to the table before our meals was superb, and my wife had a sangria with her meal which she enjoyed very much. Came back a few nights later, but this time we had to do a takeout order (our dog had been injured at the farm the day before and we did not want to leave her at the airbnb by herself). So I picked up two entrees -- a shrimp fettuccine alfredo and a salmon dinner. The salmon was first-rate, but the shrimp fettuccine alfredo was clearly the winner tonight, it was fantastic. We appreciate that they did not go overboard with the alfredo sauce (like so many restaurants do), the chef clearly knows how to prepare Italian dishes. We also had a slice of cheesecake and a tiramisu for dessert -- both were stellar, we loved them ! Lombardi's Restaurant in Gardiner, NY is Top Notch in my book. The staff are very friendly & attentive, especially David, he was extremely personable and funny. We live over two hours away in Connecticut, but we plan to come back to Lombardi's in the near future, that's how much we enjoyed our dining experiences there.

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. It needs to be spruced up to match the superb food inside!

Ima keep ranting about this part of New York. This area really don't got a lot of good flavor. And…read morewhat I mean by that, like the cooking just ain't cooking for most of these spots. And idk what it is, it could be just the local folks don't got that much flavor in their taste buds and they the anti-City folk type so most of the businesses just lack in that field. With that said... this was a pretty decent Italian spot I will say WITH that consideration in mind. I did have the ravioli with slow cooked carne inside and that was delicious. My wife got the lasagna and... it was iiiitte. Family next to us were raving about it and like they were nice and we were being polite. But like let's be real here - it tasted like Stouffer's. Not that it's a knock, but at that point, you paying for the atmosphere. Which I will say the indoors is nice. You can have a nice date night or family outing here. There's a bar and plenty of parking. The service was on point and very accommodating with our new born. Who we were chopping it up with our waiter, and found out the owner's name is also the same as our kid so that was fun talking with them on. The garlic bread - idk if it's supposed to come cold, but it had like tomato sauce on it, it was like the complimentary bread with some extra shit on it. But I wasn't feeling that, but my inner Italian side just kept dipping it in my red, and it was all good. I'm glad we came here but probably won't be back if given the chance. But we looked around, and it seemed like to be the only viable Italian restaurant in the area so, if given under the same conditions, we would be back lol. I just went back and forth there like 3 times. Is that non-Ai enough of a review for you Yelp? After they flagged me for actually structuring and editing my reviews like in old school English class. Now yelp is promoting "Yelp Assistant" even though it's Ai. Gtfo here lmao
