The space is very inviting and the food is amazing. Service is awesome as well. We were in the area and just wanted to get a quick bite and are super glad we stopped in here. As we were driving back home I saw this very cute light up place and realized it was an ice cream place. We made a u turn & it was the best ice cream I've ever had. The portions were an amazing size for a small on a cone. I got a raspberry dark chocolate and it was to die for. Did I mention it had a drive thru... the young lady at the drive thru was very helpful in helping me decided on what ice cream to try and what size. We did a quick stop on our way down from Canada and found this spot. It's a cute little spot for a quick recharge and the workers there were very friendly. I got two items: The açaí bowl was okay, nothing too special but it did fill me up. The smoothie was an interesting drink and I did like it. If i wanted a cup of warm sweet milk i would have made it at home. I ordered their Vertical Cafe Latte with french vanilla flavoring. What i got back was a cup of warm milk. My first sip was like "Okay maybe its just the froth on top", but as i kept drinking it, all i kept tasting was sweet warm milk with what assuming a sweated french vanilla flavor shot. What a neat little cafe! It's so modernly designed, lots of seating available and their menu is extensive with coffees, lattes, hot and cold teas, bubble tea, etc. There are food options also! Shocked to see such a high overall review for this place. Me and my girlfriends went there today, 7 of us. We all ordered at different times as we came in. My first friend ordered around 12:45 and long story short, her ticket was "lost" and she waited until 1:20 to say something because all of the other food was coming out. They did give her a gift card but we are not sure any of us will be back. All the food had a long wait for what we ended up getting. Even the drinks took a long time. They were out of stuff. We did like the private room in the back for us to hangout and eat. It would have been nice to eat all together though. No one was overall thrilled about their food, or drink. Two friends got Boba tea and they don't even have big enough straws for the bubbles. When we all finally had our food and drink it was around 1:30 and they closed at 2, but we would have been fine if we were served in a timely matter. read more

I miss the good ol days of a four pack of crayons and a color in placemat while I wait for my food to be served. That being said, I fully unleashed my inner child upon realizing that my chair by the window was a spinny one, and proceeded to sway back and forth for the eight-ish minutes it took to get our food. There was plenty else to distract me, like a two TV's playing on mute, one with trivia questions that I pestered my (non-spinning) boyfriend with while he tried to enjoy the Sinatra music they had turned on. We came into this Vertical virgins, and were treated with utmost respect by the man working the counter. He explained our choices to make sure we got what we wanted, and went above and beyond to help my, now dieting, mate to calculate the exact calories of his drink, going back to check the labels. My mate had gone for a coffee protein shake (filled with banana mocha goodness) to refuel after our grueling morning at the Letchworth gorge. He loved how thick it was, and how the protein powder blended right in, instead of masking it with artificial flavor. He ordered a manwrap, a beast of four meats (ham, bacon, turkey and sausage), three cheeses (Swiss, provolone and American) and an array of veggies in mayo and honey mustard. It had been grilled to crisp the tortilla to bind all the greatness together. He swears it's good enough to suffice the hour trip to get another. I opted for the veggie wrap. The spinach tortilla bundled lettuce, spinach, tomato, and avocado. I asked for it dry, removing the balsamic, as I can't trust myself not to drip all over. The avocado kept it moist enough, and I was left satisfied for the reasonable 5.75 it cost, paired up with a pickle slice and side of chips. Now we are living in a pandemic, so let's get to the nitty gritty. You have to wear your mask, and there are feet marks on the floor to keep your distance. You can even eat outside and enjoy the summer sun. There are bottles of sanitizer everywhere. The pieces of the chess table are stashed away, and I refrained from browsing the religious titles on the bookshelf. Instead I took a peek at the gift shop, wishing that my mug cabinet wasn't so full at home. I popped into the bathroom (where I noticed the wifi password) before we left, well maintained, and even took a moment to check the bulletin board while I waited for my mate to join me. So strap on your hiking boots and fuel up at Vertical for a happy, healthy meal. read more

There must've been five different coffees to choose from & a 20 oz was like $2.50! (My husband says gas is expensive, coffee is cheap) Shanna's operation is in an adorable storefront in a charming town (just wish everything opened earlier!) A simple food offering with a focus on excellent ingredients. I ordered the flatbread New York style pizza later in the day and it was also excellent. I'm obsessed. I work in Warsaw once a week and I always stop here either for a bagel and coffee in the morning or something yummy for lunch. I was craving a pretzel with cheese one day and a coworker recommended Vertical. Their pretzels are HUGE, super delicious and super cheap! I prefer their bagels over Tim Horton's or Panera.
