Review long time coming…read more Installed a TV mount to my chimney fireplace and it's rock solid. Had all the right gear and the right anchors to support my 75" TV, which wasn't made to be the lightest. Put down drop cloth and cleaned along the way. Had a helper to split the work and get the job done fast. I did t have to lift a finger. Provided some good advice on placement and AV design. Although my needs were basic, they seem knowledgeable in setting up full blown home theatre systems. They were responsive even though they were busy going from one job to the next. I guess when you're decent at your job a lot of folks hire you. I would use them again in the future.

Beware of dealing with David D and his company. They cannot measure properly or manage a customized order. I placed an order on August 2, with the condition, "...we need a firm delivery date as I do not want to wait months for delivery." I was promised a 3 to 4 week installation date. We signed the contract and paid the invoice. We were promised, and expected installation in August. After many mistakes by this company, including failure to follow up with their initial manufacturer (who said they could not make shades as large as ordered), they finally arranged delivery in late October. They came to my home, drilled holes everywhere, and realized they measured wrong. They could not install the motorized shade. They left the unsightly brackets in place. They now claim they need to start the process all over again. The shades will not be installed until December. Instead of incurring the cost to fix the problem, they arbitrarily cancelled my order. David D and his company, California Motorized Shades, LLC, are unreliable, unprofessional, and certainly incapable of handling a customized order. My only recommendation is to avoid them at all costs.

California Motorized Shades recently replaced our aging shades and we are so happy with the result!…read more The new shades provide more protection from the morning sun and heat while still letting in light. The fabric is much more heavy duty than our former shades and I love that the cords are metal and not 'string'. Those 'strings' have always been what wears out as our windows are quite large. An added bonus of the metal cords is that they are completely safe for our grandchildren. We used to have to put hooks on which to hang those string cords to keep the kids from playing with them and potentially getting entangled in them. We also love the the clean look of the valance at the top at no extra charge. We didn't choose the motorized version even though that's in their name. It was more economical for us to choose the manual version.
