Verona was our go to for pizza and wings until tonight. Ordered a pizza and 2 apps. They were short on pizza guys - totally get that...multiple people waiting for a while. It would've been cool to have told us this on the phone. I worked in food service & would always let customers know if we're backed up so they're not waiting irritated. After 1 hour..my pizza was done...which was supposed to be the hold up...but it was the apps...they weren't made...they had multiple orders after mine being ready and out the door. They clearly missed the apps and told me I'd need to wait 20 more min. I received a charge back for the apps...great...not paying for apps I didn't receive. Ordered an Italian Hoagie, no LTO. They messed up the order by putting LTO on it anyway, but whatever, mistakes happen. By issue is the amount of meat on the hoagie, after you take the LTO off. Different cheesesteak #1010 in the last four years. I was shocked how much I liked this cheesesteak. I was starving which can be very good or very bad for the cheesesteak. It did NOT pass the price or eye test but son of a gun I liked it. The roll looked bready but collapsed nicely around the meat. I would have liked more meat but it had a lot of meat flavor. First time here I was led to them because of the poutin fries. I was cheerfully welcomed and the staff was super nice and helpful. I ended up ordering the cheesesteak fries and they did not disappoint. I also got the red velvet cake slice and that was sooooo yummy it hit the spot. Generally, this is a good shop but not my favorite pizza in the area.....but still good. It's thicker and les well done for me, also heavy cheese with little tomato flavor coming through One change, and it seems recent, is the size of the wings are so diminished so as to be hardly worth the effort. Look, the hot wings are among the best, they include ample bleu cheese and celery (no carrots) and well cooked. But the wings are really small these days, likely a way to increase margins, but..... We live within walking distance of this place so naturally it's an easy way to get dinner when cooking isn't an option. The pizza is pretty good, and if you order extra sauce, you can really taste the seasonings in the sauce. I'd say the cheesesteaks are pretty hit-or-miss, since sometimes my chicken cheesesteak might be really dry or maybe perfectly seasoned, and then a normal cheesesteak could be bland or exquisitely prepared. The fries are pretty consistent though, so that's something I try to get every time. The paninis are surprisingly good! I've had the Milano and Napoli, and both are always really generously sized, which makes up for Verona's higher prices when compared to other places in the neighborhood. Ordered through grub hub- on the app it said 40-50 minutes. Our food was an hour and 40 min. I called twice to check on the status and each time was told that the food was on its way. I have ordered from here quite a few times. Delivery time is always very accurate. When they say 30 mins thats when they will be there. The cheesesteak was better than an average cheesesteak. I usually only order a whiz steak at an authentic Philly cheesesteak place because they normally use the fake whiz, however Verona's uses the real deal stuff. Give the meat such a better taste. The pizza is ok at best though. Too cheesy and lack luster sauce makes for crappy pie. Verona's changed buildings not too long ago and the new bigger location is convenient with its large parking lot and plenty of dining space. Greek food is spot on! They are so busy and rightfully so! Delivery can take and hour + but it is worth the wait.

Now pretty much all i order from there is the Napoli Panini (grilled chicken, pesto, mozzarella, roasted red peppers) My husband and i have both ordered burgers from here on separate occasions and both were so salty we couldn't even eat it.
