This was not the first time that I have been to a Vero's location but this will probably be my go to location moving forward. I live in Queen Creek area and the one by me used to be Buddy's Pizza but has since changed to this and their service was anything to rave about but the food was good so that is why we went back. I attend a Yelp Elite Squad event at the one in Gilbert and there was night and day service. Even though we were a large crowd, we were able to get excellent service and prompt response from the servers taking care of us. They made it a great experience to go there. It is a Chicago themed sports bar so of course they had the Cubs on. And other games which made it for a great evening. The Bar was big and plenty of seating. From what i could tell we had most of the dining room, but we all seem to have a good time. So, onto the food!! We started with fired pizza dough, fries and onion rings, this seemed like a custom app for our party but it is a good idea just gives you a little taste of everything. Then I had a watermelon margarita. Now let me tell you I like tequila, this was flavorful and not bitter or had a harsh flavor. It was just GREAT!! They have a big selection for beer and a full cocktail menu to choose from. If you can't find something on there then you are looking for something crazy. The first Pizza that was brought out was a traditional Chicago deep dish pizza that had all of the veggies on it, cheese on the bottom and sauce on top of it. It was good but. I am not a big fan of veggies. Now the next one that came out was basically the meat lovers, Pepperoni, meatball, sausage, and bacon. My new favorite they came out piping hot, yummy and really no other way to describe it. It is just delicious, I am a pizza guy, so I would know. Desert was the, I am guessing, the fried pizza dough tossed in cinnamon and sugar, served with a glazed sauce that was like Cinnabon. If you are looking for a new pizza joint to try out, go here. They are worth the price and if you leave hungry then you did something wrong, because I have never been able to finish a whole pizza there in one sitting. read more

People. Listen please; Best pizza in AZ!!! Ok seriously I'm not from here so that's an unbased claim. However I will say it is THE best thin crust pizza I've ever had in AZ. Got The Mag Mile in a thin crust and I couldn't even stop eating it to take a pic. Beautifully crunchy cracker thin crust, sausage, peppers, onion, mushrooms. Fantastic. Also got the inferno wings, and 6 OG Buffalo. Great wings. The inferno would be my choice going forward. Crunchy, not messy, and just enough spice to let you know they're there. They have to get their timing right on pick-ups, and please get someone at the front door that knows how to coordinate and is attentive. The food is amazing and best pizza I've had in Arizona. I am a big thin crust pizza guy. Service is great but slow at times. They offer military discount but won't allow you to use your points that you've earn as well. Which sucks. I understand not using two coupons but when you've earn the points and they offer the discount. They should let you. That would be my biggest complaint. Be nice if they open at 11 PM on the weekends and weekdays. It is lunch time and I think they would do better. The place is usually packed and plenty of room at the bar and outside as well. Service was EXTREMELY slow. Waitress and hostess were not welcoming at all. Food was below average and was expensive for what you get. Pizza had more sauce than anything else don't waste your money adding toppings they'll give you two pieces for toppings. If the food is average at least compensate for better service. The pizza was delicious and much more flavorful than most other pizza's in the valley. We ordered the buttercrust Sears Tower pizza and it had many toppings and is recommended. The only issue was the bottom of the crust was soggy but reheated great which took away the moisture. I would highly recommend the pizza. read more

No wonder Vero has such high ratings. The food is awesome! My husband and son absolutely loved their deep dish pizza and said it was the best deep dish they've ever had. I had the spaghetti which came with salad and garlic bread. It was nice that you can get a small portion of spaghetti. The salad was big and very tasty. A real stand out is their marinara sauce. Very fresh and flavorful and not salty or oily at all. Our server was excellent and very friendly. She seemed to enjoy her job. One thing though is the lighting in the restaurant. The lights are stark white and very harsh. The atmosphere would be much better if the lighting was softer and not so bright. read more

Pizza is pizza but VERO Pizza is the real Deal Chicago style pizza!!! From the first bite, I instantly knew this was different because my taste buds where ecstatic. The cheese OMG delicious, the ingredients so fresh and the butter crust deep dish just made me feel like I was In Pizza Heaven! We were buddyz fans and I must admit waiting for opening of Vero felt long overdue, but the wait was well worth it! We split a Caesar salad and small thin crust for dinner and enjoyed a few happy hour beverages. The bar has a few specialty cocktails and a full bar including wine and several beers on tap. Pizza was delicious and the large salad was good for splitting for two for an appetizer (bread served with salad was great too!). Dining room is ample size and the bar seating was top notch. The TV set up will be great for all the sports fans. Service was awesome, checked on several times and all employees were friendly and helpful. Can't wait for our return visit! read more

Coming from Chicago it's difficult to find a pizza that is even slightly like my beloved Uno's. That is until now..... Verro's pizza reminds me of what I used to have back in Chicago. It's deep dish with a great crust that gets really crispy on the edges and the pizza is made with fresh tomatoes instead of just tomato sauce. On their menu many of the pizzas are named after Chicago landmarks or famous streets, it's definitely worth a visit. read more

On-site and still waiting, but get this, here's the excuse ' We're really busy and have had a lot of orders, it's Friday and we have a lot of customers.' Wow this is a great place to get a real Chicago style pizza! The sauces are excellent and varied. Thin crust pizzas are good too but the Lake Shore Drive meat pizza is my families favorite. Just got home from a work trip in Chicago, and wanted to enjoy a Chicago style pizza here in the valley, and we came across Veros and decided to try it. Considering I just had Giordanos, I was skeptical. Boy, oh boy, was I pleasantly surprised! We ordered the buckingham which is the equivalent to Giordanos Chicago classic, and golly, this is a MUST if you want Chicago style pizza! They have options for the littles that were very reasonably priced. Will be coming back! * Also remember that any good Chicago style pizza takes a while, this isn't poor service, it is what it is, and any real deep dish takes time, so plan accordingly! read more

The true test of a Chicago pizza is the sausage and mushroom pizza. We ordered that on a thin crust ( the crust was crunchy-ish which I'm not a big fan of) , but the flavor was very good. My daughter did Canadian bacon and pineapple (she wasn't born in Chicago as I was) deep dish, and it was well done. Great crust and there was no skimping on the ingredients. Reasonably priced, and yes Karen, it takes a while to make a good pizza. This isn't Papa John's. Well done Vero, we will be back. read more

Moved to Gilbert in April, been here three times, so that says something Good deep-dish pizza and always enough to require a to go box. Service is vaiable depending on how busy they are, but other than sometimes being overwhelmed, the servers are pleasant and attentive. read more
