My experience with Believe Wireless was jaw-droppingly terrible. I inherited the service from my…read morelandlord when she moved out of the house and I moved in; she kindly paid the service through the end of the month so neither of us would have to experience an outage due to a mid-month move. I immediately called to confirm that 1) the service was paid through the end of the month and 2) I would be interested in continuing the service thereafter, if it was to my liking. Before requesting a contract be forwarded via email, the woman I spoke with on the phone confirmed when asked that the agreement was month to month. A day later, I hadn't received the promised contract, but I had already begun to experience significant connection problems. I called technical support, and ended up speaking with a Paul, who turns out to be Believe's owner. Everything seemed fine to this point - we couldn't resolve the issue over the phone, and so he suggested sending out a technician the next day. I hadn't signed a contract (having not received one, as promised), so I presumed this to be still covered under my landlord's account, which, again, had been paid confimed by them as paid through the end of the month. Today the technician showed up. He was exceedingly nice, and identified the problem. He brought the contracts with him. As I looked over them, I noticed that they indicated a 12 month agreement - at odds with the information I had been provided prior. I pointed this out, and he inquired about it. After a time, he finally asked me to take his phone so I could speak with Believe's representative myself. The woman I spoke to, the same one I had spoken to prior, acknowledged that she had told me it was month to month, but because I requested service it had to either be a year commitment, or I would have to pay a $50 fee because the problem was with my router, not their equipment. Having been promised a month to month agreement, and having heard absolutely nothing of a potential fee for service (already completed) to this point, I protested, and was told after she checked back several times (later, I found out, with the owner) that I would either have to accept their terms, despite their having supplied me completely incorrect/incomplete information, or cancel the service. Since I needed to avoid service interruption, I told her that I would utilize the service up through the point it was paid and then discontinue it. She agreed. A few moments after we spoke, she called back to say that, she was sorry, but she had *again* told me the wrong thing - they now insisted upon taking the equipment back immediately! I pointed out, again, that the service had been paid for, and after encountering further obstinance on the part of the woman, asked to speak to the owner, since she was obviously not making the decisions. She checked back, and he initially refused to speak to me. When I again insisted, Paul came on and very rudely spoke over me, stating that the technician was taking back the equipment now, and that if I didn't like it I could "sue" him. Very professional! I should point out that the tech was hugely apologetic all along. He performed flawlessly, was an incredibly nice guy, and just doing his job, which I don't blame him for. He stated repeatedly, though he did not need to, that he was embarrassed at the treatment I was getting, and in agreement with me that the interaction was outrageous. Anyways, after all this I feel especially lucky not to have been roped into a service agreement with a company capable of such spectacular rudeness and incompetence.

Very friendly and prompt technical and sales service. It's a great alternative Internet service…read more(based on line of sight (radio) wireless broadband) to cable or DSL. The reliability and speed so far (2 weeks) seems to be on par with cable or DSL. However, the connection seems to time out more often. This might be due to radio frequency interference. Overall, I am very happy with the service. Not having to deal with incompetent and rude tech and sales supports from big cable or phone companies is definitely a bonus.

I emphatically stated I will not sign a long term contract after just getting out of the previous telephone company. But so many pages and not enough days to read everything they will slip the long term contract by with your signature. That is only the first problem with these "slimeballs". They never hooked up the second office number to roll over to the main office lines. How much business or just calls never came in??? The price quote was also a big lie. I called month after month about the billing and was just brushed off as it was a partial month or it was a combined period. These guys make the Gold family of "Hardcore Pawn" look like Saints

As of October 2013, they have filed over 330 law suits against their clients, according to the Maryland District Court record alone. Please look up their name under "Maryland Judiciary Case Search" and you will see what I mean. In our case, we signed a contract to provide 1.5 Mbps Internet speed along with telephone services. The actual speed we were getting was between 0.08 and 0.1 Mbps at all times no matter what time of day you tested it. As for the service itself, they promise you 99.99% up time, we were getting service interruptions between internet and phone service almost on a daily basis. Every time we called, they tell us that they have "opened a ticket", whatever that means, and they will fix the problem, no one ever calls or follows up with us and the service come back hours later and sometime 2 or 3 days later. Imagine running a business under these conditions. I do not recommend Global Telecom Brokers not even to my worst enemy. Service is useless, very expensive, it comes with a ton of promises and I guarantee you none will be delivered. They have a tendency of doing everything verbally (by telephone) rather than reply to emails, and now I know why, so nothing is in writing when they go to court. Avoid Global Telecom Brokers at all cost because they are a scam. I can't wait for Maryland to shut them down for their illegal activities.

Gigstreem - This is what I've been looking at for two days!!!

GiGStreem boasts on its home page:…read more Experience the Most Reliable, Fastest Internet Service on the Market: Guaranteed. That statement could not be farther from the truth. GiGstreem is poser provider of community internet services, that fails to disclose they run on a shared mesh VLAN network that nearly all businesses with a secured VPN will reject for connection to GiGstreem due to inadequate enterprise level connectivity,...and GiGStreem knows this. They have been in business for only several years and they continue to rack up negative reviews. Here on Yelp they have 55 reviews with a 1.7 stars rating. Further, look at BBB listing in the State of New York: https://www.bbb.org/us/ny/new-york/profile/telecommunications/gigstreem-0121-173247/complaints, shows 19 complaints. And the bad reviews and complaints continue. GiGstreem - Convoluted Sign Up The GiGstreem Homepage looks like a basic Shopify template without any appealing creative influence to give the site credibility.  There is no standard  disclosure on residential pricing/button from the menu bar, and no transparency on pricing until after you click through 4-pages, Worse, are the obviously staged testimonial claims about GiGstreen satisfaction: "98% said installation was simple and painless" GiGstreem - Convoluted Sign-in After the convoluted sign-up, you are redirected back to the GiGstreem Homepage, and once again, there is ALSO no sign-in button.  Instead, you have to click the "SIGN UP NOW" button, and then taking you to a GiGstreem account login page.   Just terrible site design that role models the lack of professionalism. GiGstreem - Failed Access Point In my case, I signed up at a California apartment property where GiGstreem advertises as "GiGstream: Internet Simplified". Then I was duped with their offer of first 30-days free--like a trial--only to find that they charge upfront for a second month: bait and switch. Further, the signup was overly complicated to validate the service and the supposed 30-days free billing charge was convoluted and the U.I looked terribly outdated. I then learned, after I "signed-up" for service, that the Ruckus Access Point in my unit was never properly certified for installation-no power (PoE) to the unit and none of the ethernet jacks where GiGstreem purportedly provided hardwire ethernet jacks were connected.  I had to wait days for a technician (from a 3rd-Party) company to provide service and correct the problem. GiGstreem Dashboard - No Control of Devices The GiGstreem-My Wi-Fi Network Dashboard is incapable of providing any type of console control expected/displayed with AT&T and Xfinity.  The GiGstreem Dashboard falsely states you can manage devices, but instead is just a status board of all connected devices, without any option to disconnect any devices leaving you blind to security issues or a secure methodology to deactivate individual device connections, never mind and instant "off" feature for your children, and your supposed private VLAN vulnerable to bad actors. I tolerated GiGstreem's mediocrity for 3-days before I abruptly cancelled what amounted to a bad AirBnB commerical. I'd rather TRUST my customer experience to a provider that has a more qualified solution and customer offering.

Wifi doesn't go as far, wifi 5 speeds(slow), no IPv6, no UPnP, double natting with CGNAT, no inbound connections. This is glorified hotel wifi with all the lockdown and no support. They sell this as a "less expensive, faster, and equally functional" service to Spectrum, and so far I get faster on Spectrum, I don't have these technical issues, and support is far better and is actually US based. While this is a money grab by my apartment, if the service delivered by GiGstreem was what they promised at the property meet and greet, I'd still be unwilling yet wouldn't be complaining.
