My local friend said that he "knew a guy". I was fairly skeptical but desperate. Turns out that "the guy" was a ligitimate business owner of this small family run company. For $50 he got my computer working again in about an hour. He showed me a list of viruses and other nasties he'd found in there. Don't really know what any of them were but having them gone certainly helped my laptop. I doubt I'll be in the area needing that kind of computer service again but I'd highly recommend the Williams'. Fast, fair price (he could have charged me a lot more knowing that I was truly desperate), and very effective.

We had a new router but every other device in the house was fine with it, except for my laptop. It would seem OK and then it would drop me, and it could not even connect unless I put the network name and password in every single damn time! Sometimes that would happen two or three times in half an hour. I called and arranged to take it in to Acom. Fred (I think) tried it out on his network. It stayed connected just fine, but he noticed the browser was redirecting when i loaded a page. He suggested it might be malware. Apparently, Norton does not catch everything. Sure enough, I left it there while he scanned the hard drive and cleaned off over 400 malware files. I picked it up later and took it home and it has been fine. I've stayed connected for over 48 hours now. Great service! .
