For this last visit, I put in an order for Dyson hot+cool fan around 9:15am, and it was ready for pickup by 10am. That was an amazing quick fulfillment time. Upon arrival, I went to the online order pick up area, got my item in couple of minutes, just like previous smooth experiences. I had also installed remote starter for my car from this Best Buy many years ago. It worked flawlessly for years, never had any problems. The store is huge. In the backside it all TVs and theater. They put massive emphasis on TV buying experience. In the front side, it's computer, laptops and electronics. The store is always clean and tidy. During this last visit, saw lots of TVs and other goods being lined up for Black Friday sale and doorbuster deals.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at Best Buy's installation bay. I…read morescheduled an installation for speakers, an amplifier, and a line output converter, expecting professional work from a certified technician. Instead, what should have been a routine installation turned into a five-hour ordeal. The technician repeatedly told me he "couldn't find the signal" and appeared unable to diagnose the problem. Rather than continue working on my vehicle or communicate a plan, he simply stopped and began working on another customer's vehicle while I sat there waiting for hours with no updates. Watching the technician prioritize another installation while mine was left unfinished was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. To make matters worse, the technician openly stated that he would be leaving at 7:30 p.m. regardless of whether my vehicle was finished. As a customer who had already invested hours waiting, hearing that my installation might simply be abandoned because his shift was ending was unacceptable. It wasn't until I spoke with the assistant manager and expressed my concerns that the technician returned to my vehicle. Instead of properly diagnosing and repairing the issue, he appeared to perform a rushed "quick fix" simply to get me out the door before closing. Unfortunately, that temporary fix failed shortly after I left, proving that the installation had not been completed correctly. I paid for professional installation expecting quality workmanship, competent troubleshooting, and respect for my time. Instead, I received an incomplete installation, poor communication, and service that felt rushed only after management became involved. I now have to return to have the entire system inspected and repaired because the original installation was not done correctly. I simply do not recommend this installation department based on my experience. Customers deserve technicians who are knowledgeable, communicate honestly, and stand behind their work rather than rushing through a repair at the end of the day. The assistant manager was helpful in working to remedy this situation after the facts, and I experienced no issues with any of the other employees besides the technician in the installment bay. This review is solely for the geek squad installation bay technician, his poor customer service, and work towards my vehicle/installment.

In recently being exposed to an Enlighten Audio Video installed sound system, I couldn't believe my…read moreears. The craftsmanship of installation and sound quality of the speakers and system were out of this world. Knowing that the owner had a new installation, I tried my hardest to locate where the sound was coming from but couldn't do it. The speakers were cleverly mounted and clear out of any sight lines but packed a humongous punch AND there wasn't a wire to be seen. Not only did I feel like I was in a movie theater but the intricate details of every bird chirp, whisper and wisp of wind were heard crisp and clear. As my wife and I have recently purchased a house, we know EXACTLY who we will be using for our installation in the coming months and I will definitely be writing another review once it is completed.

So when HY's store in Suffern appears on the internet there is no signage of who they are written on their store and they are the size of a small city bodega. Hardly full of inventory. However, when you go inside they keep some fairly high end representations of great appliances...although only very few. It's hot as all get out in their store and they are suppose to be selling air conditioners. Theirs just doesn't work, or barely at all. Lets now turn to their two apparent sales reps Alec and Waldo. Their expertise is seemingly less than what they read from the websites that YOU are also looking at. And therefore they misrepresent some facts that make you doubt their conclusions. The boss (Mark?) is a smooth talking old timer who obviously has enough connections to obtain the merchandise for this closet sized store. So when I told him P.C. Richards price he beat it by $120. However, a few things they did not have an answer for and I foolishly ordered it anyway. They could not tell me beforehand what the monthly payments would be if I used their stores credit card account through BrandSource. It is a zero interest purchase but the length of payments are the question. So it wasn't until I was signing on the dotted line (and in desperate need of the air conditioner) that Mark told me he could only give me the six month terms and not the 12 months. P.C. Richards was offering the 12 months on the same unit coming out to $90 per month... instead of Hy's $170+ a month. Also there was an ongoing debate about the window hardware which did not come with the unit since it technically has a sleeve. However, it does fit easily in the window but it needs a separate window kit to lock it in place. It takes too much time to rehash who said what and when, but I have no window kit and had to improvise. So now they offer the window kit at a reasonable price but I will have to pay that separately and on top of the first month payment. So my first months payment comes out to over $220 for this air conditioner, properly installed with the kit. These informational shenanigan's leave a bad taste in my mouth. I want to help out small local businesses and understand that this merchants markup is not big...and their sales aren't either. But I don't like to be buffaloed either. If P.C. Richards pulled this stunt they would be in trouble. I may need to replace another air conditioner soon, this year, and I might do better going to P.C. Richard...as long as they have a sale or price match. They have some smooth talkers their too that require caution when listening to their forked tongue spiel. But they claim to match anyone's price...which I guess also means the $120 less that HY's quoted. Just make sure you do all your homework before you buy an appliance ANYWHERE! And hopefully don't wait until a HOT mid-summer to buy a replacement air conditioner.

They came over to inspect our AC slot size to ensure that the two new ACs would fit perfectly into the wall. They explained that our previous ACs never fit perfectly which led to air and water getting in and causing mold. Long story short: They quoted me a price with no hidden fees, set a delivery date, came on time, finished installing the two units ahead of schedule, showed me how to clean and maintain them, and safely removed two old moldy air conditioners and disposed of them properly. The people installing the air conditioners wore masks the whole tim. The service was excellent and at a great price. They paid close attention to detail and didn't waste any time throughout the whole process from my initial phone call all the way up to finishing the installation. I highly recommend them!

I told the bigger man who was already sitting down I was in the store for a screen protector bc I have the plan and I told him my phone is 16 pro max. He said he sold the last one that morning which alr sounded off because it was so early the mall had just opened and he didn't know if I needed reg screen protector or the privacy screen. He kept repeating I can mail it to you. (Which defeats the purpose and shows he was just being lazy) So I ask did they run out of both and he says he would have to check my account to see which one is in my plan. Why would you need to check my account if you really sold the "last one that morning"?? I went to another location and happy for my screen changed. Left a bad memory so I'm obviously not going back to this location and now understand why it was so empty. They don't want to work/ help.
