We switched from AT&T to Verizon in Oct of 2025 because of the "pay off your contact" when you switch to Verizon. We were told by Summer that we would gain trade in value on both our newer IPhones & receive a virtual visa gift card to pay off the remaining balance for AT&T. The trade in amount was lowered after corporate received the phone although there was nothing wrong with them. We were told by the in store staff it would adjust just "keep an eye on it". Same thing for the visa gift card. We called Turlock and got the run around call corporate, go to Modesto over and over again. We finally went into the store and needed to call corporate again. The staff is so unprofessional and we are being penalized due to their negligence. I've worked in the commission sales field before as well so trust me I get it when you're wanting to make a deal to make commission but lying about promotions that you're not supposed to do at the same time and think that corporate is just gonna figure it out later is absolutely unprofessional. If I could get out of this contract, I would. The service isn't even that great either. So again for me zero out of 10. read more

This is the second time I've been to this Turlock store and was talked to like I'm a child. I didn't get his name, but he is a younger Asian guy, and both times was clearly irritated at answering my questions. Even went as far to say "I don't know, I have an android, so just call the 800 number" Even though he has an android, he works at Verizon, which SELLS iPhones as well. Maybe he needs a training course on iPhones. I don't work there, he does! Strongly thinking about going back to AT&T....their service was never this bad! I've reluctantly come here since there are things that could be done online but they must love to send me here so I can hear a sales pitch. Every time I'm here either dealing with account, warranty, or other issues I've come to realize this place is like the DMV. There's zero effort for problem resolution or making things right for the customer since, at worst, there is no other choice to take your business to and at best, you have the same terrible customer "dis-service" at the other guys across the street. Whether it has to do with upgrade fees, activation fees, restocking fees, or any other "we can charge this because we can and you can go pound sand if you don't like it" fee, at the end of the day you'll get the same terrible customer service regardless of how many fees you're paying. So I haven't come here by choice but if you do, take a deep breath, or take your blood pressure meds, etc. Judging by the other terrible experiences posted here, I'm far from alone and considering no one at the corporate level cares about all these terrible experiences , that is pretty sad. read more

Unfortunately, I've come to expect garbage service at a Verizon store, but this was beyond garbage. There was literally one customer in the store and five Verizon people standing around, and the guy would not let me in. He asked me what I wanted, and made me explain why I was there for about five minutes before he would let me in(yes, I was masked-up). Then he basically refused to help me by telling me I needed to call the loyalty department, and they previously told me I needed to go into the store. He was also extraordinarily rude when I kept fumbling with my words and could not come up with the word "upgrade"(Even taking a mocking tone and saying "oh, you mean upgrade?). Excuse me if my having a stroke and not being able to communicate properly puts a damper on your day. I hope they don't treat me like this at T-Mobile, because that's where I'm headed. read more

After 15 years of service I have left because of their absolutely appalling customer care service. I had asked for a global plan for our 2 phones this summer and when I got back from our trip I had an over $3000.00 dollar bill because they did not put one of the lines on. From Oct. 2023 till February 2024 I have been trying to settle this problem. I was told by countless Customer Care specialists that yes, they made a mistake. I was given 3 different investigation numbers over a period of 3 months, with the promise to get a call back and I was left hanging every time! Not once did I get a call back!!!! I talked to over 15 different customer care specialists and when I asked if I could talk to someone in the states I was hung up on. They disconnected our lines because the bill was not paid. I called and was now talking to a "Jenny" she told me to reconnect they would need to set up an arrangement with my credit card - I told her I was not paying their mistake and she assured me she would not charge my credit card but it was just a formality to restore service as the investigation continued. Our phone lines were restored but I had a bad feeling and checked my credit card and saw that "Jenny" charged my card. I had it reversed but I have now received a letter from a debt collector from Verizon! This is an absolute nightmare that could have been easily been resolved back in Oct. Obviously, Verizon does not care about their customers!! read more

He worked with me until the problem was resolved and was very considerate and friendly during the whole process. I have always found the people in this Turlock store to be very helpful and friendly. So. My mother in law went to switch from Samsung to Apple iPhone. After the transaction was completing, wife asked if there was a way to transfer the info from the Samsung to the iPhone. Employee said that the only way to transfer the info was manually. Turns out you don't need to do it manually. The Samsung has an app to add the will transfer it. Was hoping the staff was knowledgeable of this process. I feel they were they just didn't want to do it. Maybe my mother in law will switch over to Sprint. read more

My wife and I stopped in to pay my bill and check out the I-phones 7 s. The person at the desk took my payment & was courteous and friendly. As we were looking at the 7 phones, Jeremy asked if we needed assistance. I asked him about the various plans. He described one that I found acceptable. He checked to see if they had the colors in stock that we were interested in. They had them & so we purchased two I-phone 7s for cash and 2 life pro cases. Jeremy was extremely patient in transferring information from our 6s, installing the cases & answering our many variously questions. I have bought phones in the Turlock store before with satisfactory results, but Jeremy was by far the person who was the most pleasant & knowledgeable person I've dealt with. read more

I was looking to switch my service from Sprint today and gave this location a shot since I was in the area. Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to get anyone to help me. There were two girls at the front counter who looked like they worked there, I mean they had Verizon shirts on but, I could be wrong. My wife came in the store after 15 minutes and asked if anyone offered to help. Wouldn't you know it! One of the girls eyes finally came unglued from her phone screen to make sure she glared at us on the way out. We were in the market for 2 iPhones, 2 iWatches, an iPad, Bluetooth speaker, and accessories. Well Sprint, looks like I'll stick around for awhile longer. If anyone is a rep for Verizon around Turlock I'd love to give you the commission. read more

It is unfortunate however a fact that this Verizon store is not in the customer service business . Upgraded to iPhone 6 last January and had them transfer my info to new phone. Got home and only half of my pictures etc were transferred . Took care of issue myself. Fast forward to October and phone volume would not turn up. Went in and was told I had already warrantied phone once. Not so they rechecked and this was not so. They ordered a replacement however can't ship to a PO box. So after a long run around they shipped it to the store. They were concerned about sending it to the store because "they get lost when we do that" . I contacted my Solutions Mgr 4 times to see if the phone had arrived however no return call. After a week I drove from Gustine and the phone had arrived but was out in the mail box. We got the phone and after being passed around to 3 different associates got stared. They said it would take 45 minutes "maybe you should go find something to do". Came back 2 hours latter. Still working on it, "our internet is slow" came back 2 hours latter, still working on it. Asked to speak with the Mgr and the was told " it would be faster to go home and do it yourself". So after 5 hours I did, got home backed up to ICloud changed the SIM card and was done in 30 minutes. So this is like going to a car dealership because your radio volume won't turn up and having the dealer give you the radio and telling you to installing it yourself. Verizon what else do you have that ATT and others have but customer service after the sale? I would recommend this store puts some focus on service after the sale and a little less on sales. To bad I'll go anywhere else in the future. Update: so the second phone did the same thing reduced volume and now out of warranty. Having no other choice I returned to Verizon. However this time I had a new sales person. Ahlmed. He was very straight forward offered various plans that fit my needs not designed to charge more money. He transferred all of my info and gave me a very fair deal and price. I left the store with all my data, photos, info etc. it is good to see they are moving in the right direction in the customer service area. read more

Went in to this store to transfer from T-Mobile to verizon. I signed up to trade in a device and was told I'd be receiving 800$ credits for my device. Upon going on my online account it says I will be receiving 100$ for device and when I called they told me I did not do a device trade in deal. I have called and been transferred between people and all they tell me is to go back to the store I've wasted so much time for my issue To not be fixed. The store is 30 min from me and im afraid I'll be going in just to waste more time. read more

Typical cell phone store regardless of the carrier. While Verizon has the best network for me as far as coverage in rural areas and out of the way places, this and every other cell phone store I've ever been in leaves me feeling like I need to wash my hands. Talking to their representatives is like talking to a used car sales person. Although all businesses are in business to make money, most successful businesses project a feeling that they want to make the customer happy about the service they just received. I leave this place feeling like customer satisfaction takes a backseat to separating the customer from their money. I stay with Verizon because of their coverage, but I'm less than impressed with this store. read more

My iPhone was ready within 20 min of my order. I was in and out of the store with a two year contract in 15 mins. I have had sprint and AT&T in the last 14 years. This is my first time with Verizon. Thought that they would answer questions honestly and instead they provided totally wrong information about phone features and plan. Don't waste your time and energy avoid the store. I warn everyone to stay far away from this company, I have litterly been lied too so many times I spend more time contacting customer service then actually enjoying my services, I've had verizon for about a year now.. worst company ever.. 1.upgrading your phone is a complete night mare. So I wanted to upgrade my phone I was told by a rep that they offer if you have majority of your phone paid off you can turn it in and upgrade the device, so after speaking with rep my balance on my phone was almost paid off so I could turn in the phone and upgrade it. I told the rep I would think about it and call back when I decided if I wanted to do that. Next day I call back to consider the upgrading.. well I get on the phone with the rep she then tells me no.. you cant upgrade the phone unless you pay the device off in full which is $333.00 to pay off the device.. okay well I was told the day before I could upgrade if I turn in the device.. no that's not at all what you can do. Verizon does have upgrade eligibility but your on a plan which phones have to be 100% paid off then you can upgrade.. well I never signed up for that plan so I dont even know how it changed in one day... whatever... I dont even understand why they have a upgrade phone option when they dont honor it.. 99% of people upgrade there phones when something new comes out.. but verizon wants to make you pay the phone off then upgrade .. okay I get that but I'm upset that I was told another thing day before. Watch out make sure you screen shot all conversations cause they will scam you bad. 2.So I put insurance on my devices paid extra month. both main phone screens got cracked I took them in only to find out my deductible was $250.00 out of pocket cost! They refused to help me Wtf so I then canceled my insurance and took them down to a repair shop which costed $125 for one phone and then $180 for another phone which was cheaper, absolutely a scam with the insurance they offer, 3.Every month your bill is different regardless of changes made to your account or not. I was constantly told when I called every month about the difference in my Bill that if I up graded two lines to a higher plan my bill would be lower and would be about $330.00 monthly $340 with taxes the highest those changes were made about 6 months ago . so I said ok I upgraded.. since then my Bill's have been ranging about $365 to 370 every month have to call and get adjusted it's never right.. this month April 2020 ive now been with this company for 1yr my bill has jumped up $400 with no changes made to the account since the upgrade s6months ago my account hasn't changed. So guess what have to call them as I do every month well this time they wont adjust it so okay now my Bill's will be $403.00` month with taxes whatever I deal with it cause after arguing with 3 or 4 representatives I give up.... today I get a alert my bill is $440 and it's ready now I'm pissed... have to call them again I had a mischarge of$35 one time charge now had I not caught that they would have charged me a one time charge for absolutely nothing....they take that charge off and try to tell me they dont know what happened... but if I wanted to upgrade the other two lines it could drop Bill lower... yeah like I was told previously I'm not falling for that again.. I've absolutely hated this company and with the pandemic that is going on they litterly try to up charge your Bill's instead of trying to lower it.. ridiculously out ranged and as soon as this pandemic is over will be going to another carrier I've had it with the lies.. watch out ppl I recommend att or any other service carrier but stay away from Verizon read more

I came into the store twice today. I have the note 7, and was told by customer care to turn off the phone and bring it into the store for an exchange which i did as soon as i got off work due to the recall. Incredibly, the woman who checked me into the store handed me a flyer with the procedure to contact Samsung. They did not replace my phone and told me to do everything online myself. I called customer care who said it is completely wrong for them to deny me since it is a recall, and I am not at fault and to go back to the store and demand a new phone which I did. The funny thing is, I have 2 lines, both with note 7s, and was able to trade my first line earlier in the day at a different location. This was a corporate owned store that approved my first return, even refunded $18.64. The second line I was told to pay the taxes on the phone (which wasnt required the first phone recall exchange today), and I wouldn't get the promotion that Verizon was running which is buy one get one 1/2 priced for Motorola. The woman kept telling me they got an email stating have US, the CONSUMER, take care of the issue with Samsung directly.... what am I paying you for exactly? Now I have to wait for a fire retardant box as well as my refund from Samsung? This didn't add up. What am i to use in the mean time? Is this store a corporate owned store or franchised? Did the email not reach customer care and the supervisors that I spoke to directly because this is a franchised store and the owner doesn't want to eat the cost of dead phones, so sent an email saying stop accepting them? Because a different Verizon location had a Samsung issued fire retardant box and gladly accepted the recalled note 7. Did the commission's and bonuses for management get cut because of all of the returns? Is the safety of your consumers not a big enough liability for you to handle the problem directly? The woman that was "helping me" by explain the refund for the otter box and tempered glass that are not Samsung, will be refunded by Samsung because they (Verizon)don't want our accessories. She was calm about it but completely smug with a look with the suggestion of "I told you so". This is the worst customer service I have ever received, and I am extremely disappointed. My note 7 is less than 3 weeks old, and purchased at that store. Why couldn't they help the consumer who was not at fault? There was even an elderly man in a wheelchair that they refused to explain other than "We have an email and you just have to wait for that fire proof box". Poor man was as confused and frustrated as I am. Rant is rant... and this store sucks. Pelandel is a 20 minute drive for me and 100% worth it. Corporate owned stores have better service. Right when I walked in I was greeted nicely with a hello how can I help you and taken to a station to start the process of fixing my phone that couldn't make outbound or receive inbound calls Roman was so patient and although we had many care representatives hang up on us due to my long and extensive issue that has happened for a second time in the last month he stayed trying new ways to resolve the issue was ready and prepared to explain to each care representative what has happened and what steps we have already taken to potentially fix it. As a customer I really appreciated the constant reassurance that the issue will be resolved. I was being helped with the patience of Ramon for 3 and a 1/2 hours!!! It got to the point that we did anything and everything to make the time on the phone end!! Ramon had to stay passed his scheduled time and I truly appreciate his dedication to me as a customer and my issue! Unfortunately during my visit I did learn that Ramon is transferring to a different store! EVERY SINGLE Specialist was very hands on and fast but had patience during this time the store was PACKED and the longest anyone had to wait was 25 minutes during this rush. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING! Remember to be kind to those who provide a service to you! I went into the store to buy three items. I was greeted quickly, shown the items right away, and had a clerk take me to the register and ring up my items. When I asked if someone could put the screen shield on my phone the clerk said they only will do that at certain times, the next time being 10am tomorrow. I told her I worked 12 hours so could someone here please do it tonight. I asked for a 60 second service and was told no!!! I really couldn't believe it. I asked the clerk if one of the two greeter guys standing in the center of the store could do it and she said no. When I asked her to credit the screen shield back, because what use was it to me if it wasn't applied, she said she had to get "approval" from her manager (one of the greeter guys). When she returned, all of a sudden she said she could put the screen shield on my phone. Really, Verizon, you refuse to do a 60 second service for a customer? That is poor form! With out a doubt the worst customer service I have experienced..I waited about half hour to be called and then the rep made it clear he did not want to assist me. I needed to renew my contract and PURCHASE TWO new IPhones.. He recommended that I go to Target ... Guess it's not all bad... In this location is was yelled at by the greeting person for 'lying' and my spouse went in there and proved that I wasn't. Regardless I submitted a complaint to the district manager and nothing has or will be done. Ever walk in and feel like they are slimey car sales men? Cause they are.. I'm giving 1 star because the manager Ernest did keep his word & credit the account $40. He wouldn't have had to do that if the employees did their jobs properly. Let me tell you about it. Son's phone is broken by no fault of his own. It's a malfunction inside it that had nothing to do with my son. I went inside the store to order a replacement. The rep named Harlan didn't change the shipping address correctly and the phone & label were sent to my dad's house. He lives 90 miles away from me. I called and talked to Ernest who offered to credit me. Taking an extra Saturday to drive to my dad's get the phone, then drive to my son's place (another 50 miles) then up to Verizon (another 20 miles) just so this phone can get shipped & changed over to the replacement was a HUGE PAIN IN THE ARSE! Did I mention I had to take my son back home before I could go home? He's a teenager and I'd rather make sure the broken phone gets sent out properly but this was ridiculous! All because Harlan didn't change the shipping address. I don't know if I'll be doing business with this place again. I'd rather go somewhere I can trust the employees a little more. read more
