But no, what I got was apparently the "deluxe used model" complete with a surprise inside: a slice of actual burnt toast. Yep. There was straight-up toast in the toaster. Blackened, crusty, and still smelling like someone rage-toasted it before returning it. I stared at it for a solid minute, just trying to wrap my head around it. Did I just buy a "pre-seasoned" toaster? Was this some kind of Target loyalty program bonus I didn't sign up for? And let's talk about quality control -- because clearly, nobody bothered to even glance inside the box before tossing it back on the shelf. What else are we reselling over there? Half-used deodorant? To ensure you get your items, better go thru self checkout! We shopped one night, for a specific item, found the last one! Went thru a regular checkout lane with other items too & when we got home said item wasn't in the bag. When I finally reached a "guest service person (after several days & several calls attempting) I was told I need to ensure my items go in the bag.. isn't that the cashiers job? she would only offer a refund. Bc shockingly, my item wasn't around. Frustrated that I have to do someone else job while I'm spending my money. Makes me not want to go back. At this point, I probably won't. read more

Always an issue. We wait and it's still wrong. No one would be mad if the wait was worth it but we either get someone's stuff or they get ours. And I'm so sick of these "qualifying" purchases nulled by incompetent employees. They should account for that but if it's missing and not replaceable, the purchase doesn't count. read more

I've been shopping at this Turlock, CA location for 3 years now. I like how they maintain the cleanliness of the store and parking lot. Plenty of handicapped clearly marked parking spots to choose from located at the entrance of the store. I buy my cat's litter here. It's their store brand of Up & Up. Works really well even if it does track way to much. They all do from what I've observed. I also purchase my Purina brand cat treats and canned pate Fancy Feast here. They accept manufactures coupons too which helps me remain inline with my monthly budget. I like their RedCard because regardless so far of what I've purchased, Target discounts your RedCard purchases right there at checkout; by 5 %. They sell inkjet printer ink for my Brother brand all-in-one. However, the last few times I went in to purchase it and tried to save myself a trip to Staples also in town, Target has been completely out of it. I like how courteous the employees are here; been this way for going on 3 years and counting. They sell frozen and refrigerator foods located in the back of the store making this a one-stop shop store. And they sell a good selection of groceries, including breads and cereals and more.. I LOVE their self-checkout area which is always staffed with at least one employee offering to aid you if needbe. Love this attention to detail and personalized service. :) read more

Target is one of the best stores in Turlock. Who doesn't love Target. My biggest complaint and the reason for no 5 star review is simply the lines. A lot of times they don't have enough registers to keep it flowing so you have long wait times. The value is good, what you would expect from a Target. I went to target because needed allergy eye drops and meds. Store is clean. The items were available and not locked up. My issue was at self check. I was checking out when I heard a man screaming. The man was actually a target employee and he was screaming at a younger female employee. It was aggressive and scary bc at first I thought it was a customer. After a few minutes the woman had a minute to talk. The man listened and apologized. I respect that, but it was scary. I consider this target comparable to Walmart. Not impressed and the screaming today may make it equal to Walmart. read more

This review is especially for the electronic department only. My daughters and I came in the afternoon to purchase a video game, and had planned to pay with dollar bills/a ton of change. We were a bit nervous to bring out all the change we had and see the reaction of the associate. But to our surprise, the associate 'Logan' was so patient with the long process of gathering all the coins. As a few customers would line up and put a bit of pressure on us he would reassure us not to worry and that it was not a bother. We've encountered very impatient, rude people at other retail stores when using piggy bank money in the past. He was very empathetic, thoughtful, and had great suggestions about other electronics. Great for drive up. Stocked fairly well. In shopping experience felt like Walmart 1a. I went in looking for some shoes for the children. What I found was a pile of shoes in the shoe aisle that looked like the shoes had thrown themselves off the shelves. I mean the entire aisle was covered in shoes. read more

I bought a piece of furniture two days ago and needed more dowel wood pins in order for the furniture to be completed. I came to the customer service department to ask if they had any more of these pieces that were returned or that they sold separately. The girl that was at the counter said no they don't have any other just laying around and they didn't sell them in store either. There was exactly two that were returned same as the one I purchased. She continued to say I can give you two options. You can return it and we can give you a new one or call the manufacturing company and they can send us those pieces we needed. If they are going to be selling a product they should at least have those pieces that people may need sold in store. I love this store for the employees alone. Just about every single person I've dealt with there (and I go OFTEN) is nice, pleasant and helpful! If you need to price match, no problem. If you need a price adjustment, no problem. If you saw a different price than what an item is ringing up as, they just honor it! (Within reason, of course). They don't have to hold up the line and go check for a few dollars (like some other clothing stores across the street -OLD NAVY-). If you need help finding something, they help. I've had employees take the last item off a mannequin for me or when a last I wanted was missing a piece, they gave me a deal on the price. They're just simple and easy to deal with. And the store itself is clean, usually stocked well, has lots of cute clothes, shoes, bags, etc too! Online pickup is always quick and easy -high five guest service team! -as are returns. Honestly with amazon being able to deliver all the same stuff as target and then some we really don't need a target. I mean amazon ships everything within 2 days if you have a prime membership and often times the price is cheaper on amazon and you don't have to deal with employees and managers who really don't care and who really don't want to help. Can't believe Target in Turlock treats their customers who make large purchases like common thieves. Omg I cashed out a Thousand plus on my kids for Christmas and on my way out the security asks for my receipt. After I watched him not stop anyone before me. I was flabbergasted and asked him why did he stop me? His response was that he was required to ask for receipt for any thing over a certain dollar amount. I replied so you mean to tell me the people who make small purchases are trusted they paid for their items, but those who make large purchases are suspected of stealing? Wth how asinine is that. What kind of company treats customers who make large purchases to a lesser degree than those who make small ones? Are they not in the business of making money? Had the security just done his job and been observing like he was supposed to( and not with his back turned and talking to his buddy) maybe he would of seen I paid for everything and thanked me for my visit on the way out. I don't mind this target location but tonight my husband and I had a very unfortunate experience with an employee. There is a young girl who works the front area stocking the carts (black long hair, skinny and short) who was one of the most unpleasant people we've ever come across in a store. She hit our cart with hers, didn't apologize in stress rolled her eyes. She was rude to a couple in front of us, extremely rude. They complained about her to us. Then as we were leaving, she charged at us with a cart almost hitting us and then laughed and continued on her way. Never apologized or once had a nice thing to say. For no reason - we had never spoken a word to this girl and the people around us agreed she was unpleasant. It was a busy night but if you can't handle a retail job like Target you shouldn't be working there. This encounter was extremely unprofessional and quite immature and I hope someone at Target can educate their employees on how to behave towards other people. read more
