I always look for the best quality items for my budget. I can always tell other Marshall shoppers on the street. The service is always friendly and helpful. Looking for a place to shop on the way to Modesto. Look no farther stop by Marshall's located in Atwater California off the 99. There is plenty of parking in the shopping area. Their prices are very reasonable and the store items were properly placed and well organized. However, there was a long line at the cashier. Have your patience hat on and be prepared to wait to checkout. Their selection of clothes, household items and accessories were plenty. Definitely it's worth the shopping and looking out for discounted items. read more

Today it was raining really hard for a while, so I had my rain puffer on and was walking around with my sister. She went to try some things on, and I continued browsing the makeup section, minding my own business. That's when I noticed employees following me. Every time I moved to look at something in a different aisle, they would follow. I never thought I would experience racial profiling at a place like Marshalls. read more

The employees here are obviously not trained on customer service or perhaps corporate doesn't care because I have NEVER had a good experience here. I swear the employees are not trained and just thrown out onto the floor. The reason I say this is the constant disruption by employees reaching in front of me while I'm browsing literally reaching in front of a person ... so rude! They are shoving all of the hangers down the rack into the area where customers are looking. They have no regard for customers at all. The rolling racks, carts and boxes full of shipment just laying around is in the way of the aisles and shelves. The place is just a mess ... it's a retail store not the hunger games! read more

Out of all the Marshalls I've been too, this is by far the worst. The line is always crazy long and it takes forever to get through. It's like this every time I come. Normally Marshall's has long lines, but this one takes the cake. It doesn't even make me want to shop here. Half of the time I just get out of line and leave my cart. read more

Oh Marshall's, this truly is the place where name brand items come to die. All of their locations seem to be jacked up as far as organization and cleanliness and this particular location is no exception. Just like most others, they have clothes and home good scattered throughout the store which leaves customers to shop with a hide and seek or treasure hunt mentality. The most positive thing I've noticed about this store is the fact that most aisles are clear to walk in and your feet don't stick to the floor, ripping apart your soles as you peruse for goods from season's past. I'm not hating on this store, everyone loves a good bargain, just know that you can find some good stuff here but you will have to pay attention to all shelves and racks and always grab an item of interest on your first attraction, as it most likely will not be there on a return visit. read more

I'm a regular here and Marshall's is the best place around to find big brands, it is worlds better than the discount store in Merced! I always come in for luxury items for less... it's like a treasure hunt! Sometimes you leave empty handed, other times the tiny cart isn't enough!! All of the cashiers are sweet, but JOHNATHAN always makes it a point to converse and is always full of compliments. He has a cool style and recognizes when others do, too! Very super nice and personable! Of course the line can get long, but at least the cashiers are cheerful and helpful. I have never had a problem with their checkouts or return process and you'd be surprised the brand names you'll find here! Just don't be gimmicked into the impulse buy... if it's not brand named, don't buy it. Oh and always check EVERYTHING to make sure it isn't used or opened!!! read more

This is a perfect example of a manager and staff that care about their store and how it is presented to the public. This is the cleanest Marshall's I have ever been in and my family has been shopping at Marshall's for years and years. It was very neat and organized; the restroom tops my cleanliness list for a public restroom and the staff was very helpful. I will definitely stop by here again on trips up north. Pretty decent prices and better organization and selection than Ross. Very clean vibes. Employees here are very nice and patient. I would definitely go here more often if I lived in Atwater. They also had Puma Fenty sneakers here, but I didn't bother purchasing. Might be some good sneaker finds here for flipping if you're down to invest in it, and you don't have to sort through a bunch of them other than the clearance shelves. Only negative thing I have to say is that there isn't much of a junior's section, which sucks for me because I'm a lean adult and don't fit in many women's clothing. read more

Watched an item being held for an employee after my wife waited over an hour for said item. Do not shop at this store. They are not honorable. When brought to the manager's attention she did nothing to rectify the situation and didn't even acknowledge the issue. Employee collision at its finest! read more

The staff would not accept my return of an electric shaver because I used the product only to find out it doesn't do the job, doesn't charge properly, and cuts you up. Never before had I had the store manager tell me to call manufacturer to get a return because they are only a discount store. Very horrible customer service that does not follow their return policies. Would not recommend buying anything case it doesn't work out for you. read more

They will not let you return hair product once you tried it. But how would I know it's not working if I haven't tried it? Never had this problem when buying stuff from Ross, Walmart, Target. Should at least let the customer know that it cannot be returned at checkout. This is just bad customer service. read more

Cheap prices, a descent layout, the customer service is pretty good too. Shopping here is like a treasure hunt, look for the great deals on clothing, housewares and toys. The store can get messy and cluttered at times but it's not as bad as some other stores. read more

I lived in Atwater for 18 years and the best place to get clothes was always K-Mart. Marshalls is far superior to K-Mart. As much as I wish there were more locally owned businesses in Atwater, it is to see any economic development. Morals aside, this store carries some stylie clothes for being in Atwater. read more

This is such a clean and well organized store. Everyone is helpful and the selection of clothing to decor items are amazing.

I love finding clothes, house decor, pet accessories for lower prices. Normally always have a good variety of items to choose from. I do prefer the Modesto location but no always as easy to get to for me. Shoe selection is pretty good for Atwater. read more
