What I like most is that the store is organized and clean, not junky. Books are at the back, CDs and DVDs are on the side, toys are at the front, clothes are in the middle. I didn't have the patience to go through their boxes of vinyl. If you are looking for faith-based music, books, or movies, you've come to the right place. The women working there were nice. Prices were very fair, 25 cents for books, a dollar for DVDs.

Black dotted area to be precise was the $1 sale of the day. Found a pair of bootcut dress slacks on it for a single dollar in perfect condition. Decided to pass and leave them for another in need. Just didn't feel like trying on clothing but they have superior quality clothing. Shirts were priced at $3 each. They sell shoes too and the way they hang to display the pants is very useful and smart. They have an ample supply of women's black slacks and pants in excellent condition something I'm always on the lookout for. This thrift store is organized by separate small rooms which divide the categories such as books, shoes, art and collectibles and more. Made for an enjoyable and relaxing shopping experience as I shopped. There's a large chalkboard located behind the register on the wall which states they've donated over $800,000 dollars to date to charities etc. Wow! Makes me want to donate here.

I came here when the store was starting up and going to be split into two...however, I found the…read moreservice just friendly, not so in your face and no "that's just it?" when I approached the register with a sport coat. the owner was friendly, the vintage Givenchy mens coat was and is absolutely divine to throw on with some jeans or shorts, and I cannot wait to visit when the store becomes larger. I did not find much of housewares (which is a plus for me to visit any second-hands store) when they were there, just a shelving unit and some things placed about the store. I will visit soon again!

I have been a regular donor to this Goodwill location for several years, contributing clothing,…read morefurniture, miscellaneous glassware, and other like-new items because I believed in the goodness and integrity of the Goodwill name. But something that recently happened to me there has me very upset. Shortly before closing I went into the store to quickly look for an item and right away I heard the announcement that the store would be closing in five minutes. I looked around and saw no other shoppers so I took my purse from the cart and left. Unfortunately my wallet accidentally slipped out of my purse and stayed in the cart. A few minutes after I left I realized my wallet was missing and immediately went back. The doors were already locked, but after my knocking, two employees, 1 male, 1 female, came to the door. I told them through the door that a few minutes ago I accidentally left my wallet in the cart I had been using and asked if they could please check it. They glanced briefly on the floor but did not check the cart, even though I said that I had just been there. The female employee told me through the locked doors that I had to come back the next day. I explained I'm from out of town, I was just leaving and wouldn't be in town the next day but she still wouldn't look for my wallet which I knew was in the last cart on the cart stand and she was standing right next to it. With no other choice I went back the next morning and the same employee (later identified as "Katie") that was talking to me through the door the night before, was unlocking the doors and opening up. She told me she found my wallet which had been put in the back safe. A manager with red hair then returned it to me. When I got to my car and looked inside I discovered that $160+ in cash was missing. I went back in the store and spoke to "Katie", who said she had opened my wallet "to see if it was something for sale." She showed no concern about the missing cash. The manager "Jennifer" was right there and did not address the issue. This situation is very upsetting, especially because I had returned within minutes the night before and that my wallet had been in employee possession. As the last customer in the store before closing, I believe my wallet was handled solely by store staff. To the employee who said she found my wallet: That money was for my six-year-old granddaughter's birthday gift that I promised her. The next day on her birthday she was in tears, she had her heart set on it. After years of supporting and donating to this store, I never thought something like this would happen. Because this situation involves missing cash while my property was in the possession of store employees, I expect to be contacted regarding the reimbursement of the missing cash, exactly $162. Also for documentation purposes I have filed a police information report regarding the missing cash. The items are in great to excellent shape. My first experience with them as far as donations was when I needed a couch to be picked up. I heard they would pick up items. When I called they gave me the third degree and acted like it had to be brand new for them to pick it up. My couch was perfectly fine to donate and the family who received it was more than happy. Because in the end, I told Hope Chest to just forget it! They obviously didn't want my donation. Well, today I called ahead of time and the person I talked to said, "Make sure you don't have a truck load of donations right before closing!" She didn't say anything about them not accepting toys of any kind. I would not have wasted a trip. I also agree with some of the other posts, their prices are pretty high for a thrift store. Yes, sometimes the manager will work with you. But I don't like to haggle. I would rather just see a good/fair price, pick it up and take it home. I also wish they would have student/teacher discount day like some of the other thrift stores have. It would be nice. :)
