What has happened to the Goodwill? It used to be such a fun place to shop. Now all they have is overpriced junk and rack after rack of mostly old clothes. I will say that some of the children's clothes are nice. The adult clothes are mostly awful. Framed Pictures are placed on shelves so high you can't reach them without using a ladder. The store smells bad. Staff not helpful, rude. No access to restrooms , told to go to another store. Donations must be dropped off in alley. Alley is blocked with trucks. Not a place I will return to. read more

I was told when I purchased my items that I can RETURN them if they didn't fit because they don't use their fitting rooms. When I went back to return some items, I was told that their policy only allows exchanges within 5 days and each individual item has to have the EXACT price in order to get exchanged. Nothing in there was my size or close to matching the price that I needed to have. So I was left with the items that didn't fit and couldn't exchange or get a refund. Truly disappointed on how strict their "policies" are when all these items are donated. read more

I've been in our local Goodwill (Golden State/Turlock) 4xs over the last 3 weeks. I've never liked shopping for clothing there because they don't sort by size, making it a longer process. I did find a few blouses I wanted to try on 2 weeks ago. I was told they no longer allow dressing rooms to be used. I looked around, not one mirror in the entire store. I left the blouses on the rack. Next visit I heard the checker tell my friend that they have a new return policy which allows you to return and exchange your item within 6 days. Ok, I'll try that! Made a purchase and returned 2 items the next day. I also bought 4 more items. I came back on the 6th day to return and exchange 2. I was told I was a day late. The return must be within 5 days. I explained I was told 6 and described the checker. Nope, can't do it! - from the assistant manager. There is no policy posting and nothing appears on the receipt. I told her she needed to honor what her employee stated since there is nothing written to counter it. She would not! She said "We started last month (Jan '24) and everybody known it's 5 days". I told her that response was completely unacceptable and that she was making just too hard to continue to shop there. She couldn't care less! I don't have enough disposable income or time to waste shopping at Goodwill. read more

I don't understand the system on what's going on on all Goodwills. The prices are getting ridiculous and it seems that the stores up the prices to whatever they want. All I know is that good people donate their USED, goods to HELP those that are less fortunate, I don't think that the good people who donate would appreciate the way this business is going and getting over on the less fortunate. I've donated countless number of times and I don't appreciate it at all. Especially during these hard times. ONE small item, no matter what is now 4.79. items from dollar store are marked 9.79. new items marked more than the store! every time I go in prices have gone up! YOUR ITEMS ARE FREE!!! Store is getting more expensive! Worse yet they won't allow public to use restrooms. I had to take my 3 year old granddaughter to another store to potty! They have nice bathrooms but won't let you use them. If you serve the public bathrooms are a necessity! Staff at the county side store is much better than staff on store on Geer road. read more

My Grandson shops there fir his Nerf guns as he refurbishes them and enjoy the end results. He also love purchasing old items that he fixes and hopefully can sell for a profit. read more

I thrift a lot and generally don't care for Goodwills, they usually just have a lot of junk and things that are even remotely nice (like Macy's/Nordstrom type brands) are marked way up. This Goodwill, however, is pretty nice. It's more organized than the other one in town and generally has a better selection. They have a LOT of clothes and not a lot of home goods/kitchen supplies compared to other thrift stores, but I've found some great vintage, leather jackets, and nice jeans here. read more

I unfortunately didn't find much this time but it was one of the cleaner Goodwills I've been too, well organized, wide isles and easy to look around. Dressings rooms are still closed due to COVID and masks are enforced no matter what. read more

Clean, organized and the whole feel of the store was good. I believe this is the biggest in the area. I was impressed the 1st time I went 2 months ago.,I do recommend this store. The only thing is the kids t-shirts are the same price as the nicer dress shirt. I was looking for simple play t-shirts for my toddler, The regular casual/ simple t-shirts were $2.49 and a nicer looking t-shirt for $3.99. Button up dressier name brand collared shirts $2.49-$4/5. I am barely thinking , to get my $ worth, I should have just purchased the dress shirts to use as play shirts for $2.49. I also only found 1 mirror in the store to use since the dressing rooms are closed. I still recommend. All thrifts stores have been higher priced in the last 2 years. read more

I will say this I have attended this location for a very long time, never have had issues with it at all staff is very nice it's clean. But just yesterday I attended and picked up a few things had seen one of the employees drop something of on the counter picked it up right after she set it down. I examined the item great condition didn't see a tag at all which is what I was looking for since item like that tend to get tagged. Other items of the same brand were tagged that wasn't went to pay the cashier a young girl asked one of the other ladies if it had a tag she automatically says yes it did I told her nope I picked up right after your peer stocked it she said yea it did and so on. The issue is that what they tend to say is if it has no tag it's the price that's posted if it has a tag then that is the cost. She was like well I want to sell it to you for the price of the tag when it came out of the back. Made my whole trip just bad really hope they don't start doing that and honor what they say read more
