I use to love this store and now it seems as if they are discouraging customers from doing in store shopping. I went in early Saturday morning to do a big shopping trip. A LOT of aisles were blocked by employees who were stocking shelves and I was unable to get all the items on my shopping list because of this. Then when I got to the check out lanes with my full shopping cart I was told I would have to self check out because the registers didn't open til 9:30am. What a joke. read more

Definitely more expensive than Amazon or Wal-Mart for basic goods, but if you pay attention to weekly ads and in store clearances, mark downs and close outs; you can save a fair amount of money. One of the greatest things about Target is their house brand, their variety of items are very diverse and can easily match many name brands in quality. Also, even though it's not necessary for the shopping experience, it's nice that this location has a Pizza Hut express as well as a Starbucks, both of which are excellent for attracting a larger scope of customers. read more

8/30/23 Went to the super target because I was hunting for a certain Transformer figure. I had been looking for over a month for this figure so I was beyond excited when I found it on the shelf. I get to the register and when they scan it they say its not in their system to they can't sell it to me. I am told to take it to guest services and this rude, cold woman tells me that its a third party item and can't sell it to me. She says its only online which is BS because their site does not carry it at all. I'm sorry but if its on the shelf then I should be able to buy it, it does not matter if an employee was not supposed to put it out. This is exactly why Amazon is beating brick and mortar stores because there is no customer service anymore. I will never shop at this target ever again. read more

This Super Target didn't seem so super to me. Back in the early 2000s, when I lived around Orlando, Target started building a number of Super Target locations. They were open 24 hours a day, which was extremely convenient for the area. They had loads of inventory and the stores were always interesting. What always drew me to the stores was the deli and Archer Farms items, though I would get my parents bread and the outrageous desserts they had in the bakery. Having seen this location, I wondered if it would be wonderful or not. In fact, it turned out to be a big, but very ordinary Target, similar to the store in Anaheim on Harbor Blvd. I know that Atwater isn't a major tourist destination while Anaheim is, but both stores suffer from being ordinary (at least, compared to the stores in Orlando). That said, they're way better than the best Walmart. They have much more grocery space than the typical Target but it seemed that they wasted a lot, unfortunately. The deli looked about the same as I expected but the bakery was a bit short. They had many extra frozen Archer Farm items than I usually see, but getting them home will be difficult in the summer heat. read more

This is my regular store. There are trash on the aisles and inventory is sometimes misplaced on the store shelves but people can be jerks at times so I understand the staff can't always catch these things. One morning the doors were working, this was after opening so I knocked to get the attention of one of the 3 store personnel standing there talking. No one heard me, I was able to get in through the exit doors as someone was leaving. I was greeted by a staff member who apologized and told a woman with a clip board who said "we were busy cleaning up a mess." Hard to clean with no cleaning equipment and one guy leaning on a cart. Not even a "wet floor" sign. I told her I saw her there chatting and continued to begin shopping. The woman started following me to "correct" me and I told her I was here to shop and not here to excuses. She could have apologized and moved on. Maybe she didn't hear me knock. I don't know. I found out the woman's name was Ali and she was the store manager because she continued following me to tell me she was going to have store security ask me to leave. I don't know why Ali escalated the situation, was it because she was having a bad morning? Had she not woken up yet? I suspect she was mad that she was caught in a lie. People deserve to be treated better. read more

While I was home for the holidays, I had my first Super Target experience, and boy oh boy was it exciting. This place is freakin' hugemongous. It's got all the goodies a regular Target has, except each department seems bigger (more super?) than your usual location. AND it's also got a whole grocery store and a pharmacy and a Starbucks. Truly the most exciting thing in Atwater, if you ask me. Warning: Don't come hungry - wandering every foot of every aisle may take longer than you think. I was starving, and accidentally settled for some nasty Pizza Hut Express breadsticks... most regrettable move of the day for sure. read more

Just as the name suggests, it's a Target store and it is super! It's a Target with a fantastic grocery store attached, probably about the same square footage as the standard Target store footprint. The grocery section has a great deli section with sandwiches, sushi, bakery, etc. It was humongous. With a store like this, it truly is one-stop shopping. read more

Best big box store in Atwater. It is SUPER clean, the staff is polite and helpful, you don't get ignored like you do next door at the store with an * in their name. I got asked like 4 times my last visit of I needed help. A real nice grocery dept, but the fruits and veggies are a little on the expensive side. The meat dept is nice but a grocery store like Save Mart, Food 4 Less with a butcher will have better selection. The grocery dept is extensive and has a great variety of food items that is well organized. I am willing to spend an extra few pennies on each item here than shopping next door at "*" with the lack of descent customer service, and feeling like we should be honored shopping there. I live in Merced and I will drive to Atwater just for Super Target. The store is great! It is always kept clean, well organized, the staff is friendly, and the manager, Craig, is so helpful! The clothing dept. is pretty large. I like the display of shoes at Super Target as opposed to the Target in Merced. The electronics dept. seems larger than the Merced Target. And who doesn't love getting ALL of their grocery shopping done at the same time?! I visited Super Target a couple of nights ago and found that they carry Panera's salad dressings and soups! I'm in love! I will purchase from the frozen aisles of the grocery section, but I am skeptical about purchasing my meat here. I take care of the meat need at Costco. But, I will purchase my produce here and some dairy as well. read more

Target usually have promos, such as spend $15 get a $5 gift card or buy 4 get a $10 gift card. One particular time, I spent $15+ on hair care stuff and was supposed to get a gift card. The cashier did scan the gift card, but for some reason gave me one that wasn't loaded. I didn't know until I tried using it at the Target in my hometown that the balance was 0. It wasn't scratched at all too so we know it wasn't used. I was advised to take it back to the Target I got it from with a form of reciept. When I did, they checked the reciept and noticed that the scanned gift card barcode did not match the one that was given to me. This could honestly be a mistake or you got sketchy employees. Just be careful and have them scan your gift cards again to make sure there is an actual balance! read more

The grocery section is not super cheap by my standards (I always shop on-sale at Safeway, etc, but even Target's "sale" is still more expensive), but it's not ridiculously expensive either. The produce and premade foods were fresh, the set up was efficient and the place was clean. It had optometry, snack bar, Starbuck's, and all the usual stuff. Bathrooms were really clean as well. I just recently shopped at Super Target for the first time! (They don't have any in the Bay Area.) I was in Merced for the day and made it a point to stop at Super Target in Atwater before returning back to the Bay Area. The store itself was clean and very bright inside. I liked that the grocery section looked just like the rest of Target except with food. The grocery section is not nearly as extensive as the grocery section at the Walmart Supercenter, but there's still plenty of cool stuff. I liked that they had a bigger selection of various Market Pantry/Archer Farms goods compared to a regular Target. I couldn't get any refrigerated/frozen items since I'm not from the area, but I really enjoyed browsing their deli section even though it wasn't practical for me to get anything from there either. However, I picked up a bunch of non-perishable food items for really low prices. The rest of the store was pretty much a typical Target, but it was still fun to look around. The store wasn't too busy so check out was quick as well. Overall, neat store and I would definitely stop by again if I'm in the area. read more

Rip offs, Bogus, Not educated on their phone plans, Rather go to an acutal At&t store. Their goal is just to sell their service even if it means lying to their consumers. I went in with T-mobile and switched to At&T. At that time I was told they will pay off my current balance for the phones. I asked the salesperson if they will pay off my phone which has a balance of 146$. He said yes bring in your last bill once it cancels and the corporate store will pay off in its entirety once you present them with the final bill. That was a first lie, Once I walked into corporate store they said they cant pay the device off, I have to trade it in. I was like that's not what I was told, he said sorry the third party vendors say stuff and we get to hear it on our end. The second Lie, I was told that the deal was only with iPhone 8 plus and iPhone 8, I could not get an iPhone 8 plus with Iphone 8 plus. I asked them specifically, "even if I paid for the difference" and I was told no. I went in recently to target because my cousin purchased the phone and He was told that he can get an iphone 8 plus and iphone 8 plus as long as he paid the difference. I was like since when did you guys started this deal and they said its been going on since Black Friday, (the day I got my phone) I contacted Keila their District Manager since store has nothing to do with mobile plans. She offered to send it to the escalations unit (146$) amount, which I truly deserve. I was like how about letting me turn in my iPhone 8 and I can pay for iPhone 8 plus the difference. She said she has no control over it since it was past 14 days. So pretty much their goal is to sell you a shitty plan and they could care less if you get stuck with it or not because it's not coming out of their pocket. I gave them opportunity to fix their mistake but I guess they do not care about their customers.I guess they do not like adhering to their mission value but providing exceptional or not even reasonable guest experience. read more

The food prices are pretty good but I'd rather go to SaveMart just because there are better cut of meats.
