I've been to this Target a handful of times. It's a clean store and has well stock items. They have everything I'm looking for. Cashiers and stock clerks are great and provide friendly service. It's the return desk that I tend to receive poor customer service. I'm engaging a standard return transaction. There were multiple employees talking amongst each other and no friendly approach such as "How can I help you? Or I'll be right with you" Keep in mind, I'm the only person in vicinity of 2-10 feet from the service counter. I'm awaiting to be greeted to process my return for a couple of minutes, I could have finished whistling a show tune before someone offered assistance. I spend a lot of money here because it's a great shopping environment. The store is clean, the staff is respectful and helpful, and the prices are fair. It's right next to a Walmart and this store is 100x better than Walmart. I definitely recommend going to this Target vs going to the Walmart next to it. read more

I have went shopping and attempted to buy a Starbucks 3x in one week, No luck. The Starbucks employees at this Target location were rude and not willing to accommodate me. I went 3 different occasions to this Starbucks and they had no cold brew coffee, forcing me to buy a drink more expensive than i wanted and sweeter. I never write reviews I signed up just for this though. This store has gotten horrible. If it wasn't the closest store to my house I would have stopped coming here a long time ago. I don't know what their hiring and training process is but it's not good. My experience yesterday was awful. I was in the meat department getting chicken and got chicken juice all over my hands from the package. I went to the deli to ask for a paper towel and the girl behind the counter so disgustingly rude I couldn't believe it. I didn't get her name she wasn't wearing a name tag. Probably on purpose so she can be rude to guests and get away with it. I've never walked out of a store before where just being there affected my mood the rest of the day. This did. And many others times I have gone in there. The employees here have horrible attitudes. Not just at the registers, but even the ones on the floor working or stalking. They give such attitude for no good reason or don't even look up at you when you ask them where something is. The next target is 20 minutes away and I will for now on be going there. As for groceries, I'll drive to the middle of town or I guess even walk mart. They've become like a Walmart anyway. It really is too bad how horrible it is to shop at this store. read more

This place is sooo nice and clean and always well stocked! Produce tends to be a bit overpriced but rest of store makes up for it! Also I found the employees to be polite and helpful. This store also has a great pharmacy, without the lines like at Wal-mart. Oh, and did I mention the wide isles?? read more

I love this store I go into this store at least once a week or two it's always so clean organized and they usually have most items in stock I spend lots of money there but the other day I went in and tried to return some shoes I just wanted to exchange for a different color I payed full price for but unfortunately I didn't have my receipt and usually I don't have a problem if for some reason I need to make a return but this this I didn't catch the guys name but right of the bat he was like oh no I don't think we could do it and gave me all these excuses on why they couldn't I went to Merced the next day and they did it right away without hesitation they gave me store credit for the full price even without my receipt and I was able to get the ones I wanted to problem so that was unfortunate he didn't want to help me just simply because he didn't and that's not okay bad service on his end read more

I don't understand why this Target has such high reviews. I've been to dozens of Targets throughout California and this is by far the worst one I've visited. I've been here at least a half dozen times over the last few months, and almost every time I've encountered problems with service and/or product. For example, the employees must have a high turnover rate because nobody ever knows where their products are. I've been left alone in the aisles wandering while they ask each other where I can find something like combination locks. Prices are so often mislabeled and I'd always have to confirm with the price checker because prices were wrong so often. Clothing and shoes are always a mess, misplaced on the wrong rack, wrong size section, or just strewn about on the floor. My most frustrating experience was with customer service when I attempted to return an item. One employee started leaving the counter when I got in line, and hollered from a distance, "Someone will be with you soon." "Soon" to them must mean 15 minutes, and in that time someone who came back from her break just stood in the back (we can see her through the hole in the wall), sorting items and not addressing the line building up. Unfortunately, the rest of the cashier stations are so far away that we could not approach them for assistance. Anyway, Target is Target, and they have everything you never knew you needed. I love Target in general, but I especially love this Super Target. It always has fully stocked shelves and I love using my Cartwheel app when I shop there. Friendly, helpful sales staff. I love that I can grab my Starbucks in the store before starting my shopping. Always use my Red Card. This store is very clean. I do most of my shopping here for good, toiletries and clothes. Still my favorite place for shopping. Went on a trek today to find buttermilk. An employee Zach went above and beyond and searched the back for it. 1 he could have easily said 'if it's not on the shelf we are out'. Or 2 did a quick once over and give up. Nope he searched and found it after like 10 minutes. Someone should give this guy a raise. read more

What can I say? I love Target. The best thing is having a grocery store. Their prices are excellent when it comes to the dry & frozen goods. The meat & veggie prices...not the best but I save so much on my staples its ok. The employees are nice & helpful. My only real gripe would be the lines. They have like a gazillon check out registers and open like 3. Other than that- I love our super Target in Atwater! read more

I was looking for specific hair product at this target and one of the Employees named Kim helped me look for it even though it did not come up in their system saying it was in stock, I was really great full for the fact that she didn't just walked away and continued with her task just so she to help me ! I love walmart for its cheap prices but l I also love target for its good customer service this target is just amazing it has everything thing I need and the prices are not that bad too. I had never heard of a Super Target before, but as I was on my way to the Super Wal-mart I figured I'd check out yelp to see how super it was. After reading the reviews for the Wal-mart I noticed the Super Target. Seeing the Super Target had higher and more reviews I skipped the Wal-mart altogether and I definitely didn't regret it. Always clean, always friendly staff. It's my favorite place to shop. My only complaint is that during busy times, they will only have 3-4 lanes open, with many people in line to check out. It's not so bad when the checkers are fast, but some are not. They have lots of staff around, they're always asking if you need help. Great store love love love the clearances although as of lately there hasn't been much in the way of good clearance. I know exactly where all the clearance spots are and hit them all almost every time I go in. They have good clearance meat as well, which as long as its used the same day or frozen it's great. The difference in target clearances meat and Walmart clearances meat besides the price (in targets favor) is that targets meats is guaranteed for two days instead of Walmart one. Another great thing is when purchasing meats they have always been bagged separately where as Walmart I've come home to see bloody meat sitting in the same bag as my fruit. Yuck! Friendly employees and very helpful. It's very clean in comparison. This store only has one downfall in my opinion their fresh fruits and veggies section is horrific. Very clean, organized store, wide aisles. Great assortment and variety of specialty foods such as olive oils, grains, etc. I'm not crazy about the produce area. I don't like my potatoes indivudally wrapped in saran wrap; can't get used to that, but great assortment of bread, cheeses, deli food, baked item. I love it here. I prefer to shop very early in the a.m. and usually the riff-raff is still in bed so no chance of seeing that in here. Agree with other comment: I go in for a couple items and walk out with 50. OH!! they have carts that actually are in working order. read more

Awful customer service. Bought a iphone case and it wasnt the right fit for the 4s. Couldnt return it. I return it to the Merced Target and there was no question ask. This is one reason why Atwater Target is hanging on a thread, barely survive. Atwater Target...please train you workers right or move out and let walmart move into that spot. read more
