I noticed in some posts they had bottles I do like, so I cruised down to check them out. I ended up picking up a solid bottle of bourbon I hadn't seen by me. While I was in there the owner was very kind and helpful. He was busy with a vendor but still stopped to check if I needed help. Very happy with the store, service and selection. They were also open to taking suggestions on things they didn't have and offered to order it. I thought that was awesome. I will definitely be returning and giving them my business again. If I go to Wal-Mart and buy a broom or whatever and it breaks after one or two uses I'm pissed because it wasn't $1, but here I never seem to be let down. I go into this store with the mentality and expectation that whatever I buy will not last very long, so if I can get at least four uses out of a broom or get 3 to 10 sprays out of an air freshener; I'm happy because they did one dollars worth of work, no complaints.

On multiple occasions, I've noticed that when this employee rings me up, certain items are not scanned and a price is manually entered instead. I've also repeatedly been charged more for products when he rings me up than when the younger employees do. After noticing the pattern, it has become difficult for me to believe these are simply isolated mistakes. Customers should be able to trust that they're being charged the correct and consistent price for what they purchase. I was also uncomfortable when this same employee asked my girlfriend where she works. She is considerably younger than him and did not know him personally. Regardless of his intentions, I felt the question was inappropriate and it made us uncomfortable. I want to be clear that the younger employees here have always been chill, friendly, and pleasant to deal with. This review is not a reflection of them. I've been a loyal customer for years, which makes this especially disappointing. But after these experiences, this business has permanently lost my business and that of my loved ones.

The store is pretty standard, if you've been to a Daiso, you'll know what you're walking into. They have the variety of usual things, though not everything I have typically found at other locations. I came looking specifically for metal chopsticks that come with a case you can carry in your purse, sadly they did not have this. They also didn't have regular stainless steel chopsticks (wanted to get some for bfs house) and I couldn't find a particular small spatula. But I was happy to find some cute reusable bags, small gift bags, pens and other office supplies, and small bowls that match what I already have and use daily. Most items are $1.75, but not all, so be sure to pay attention to the tags. They have signs up converting yen to dollars all over so you can check. There was a good amount of staff who greet you promptly as you walk in and help with check out. I was happy to see a self checkout option (two kiosks) so you can get through the checkout quicker- it's card only though so if you're paying cash you'll have to wait for a cashier.
