Had to get a new phone because I dropped mine and it broke. So I stopped in to Verizon yesterday. They have a very good COVID safe routine and the staff are all very friendly. I have a bad back an had to sit in the most uncomfortable chair for over and hour waiting for this girl to setup the phones and do all the crap she had to do. It was nothing more then a piece of plywood on legs. I'm not real crazy about the way they explain the new charges and fees I will be getting with the new phone or what the new phone will be costing me in he end. I did ask her several times to explain it but every time I got the same answer. I feel like I got ripped off but I do realize its my fault for not following up better an ask again until I understood everything. I truly hate the fact that they have you by the balls. If you want a new phone you will pay through the ass for it and they know it!!! read more

I visited this Verizon store to upgrade my phone, but the customer service was completely nonexistent. The gentleman immediately questioned why I had two phones, regardless of whether they were for work or personal use. This was irrelevant because I had come specifically to upgrade my phone. I hate to bring race into it but I'm a African American female that is highly educated. Furthermore, since I no longer share the same last name as my father, who is the account holder, my account was flagged as fraudulent. Despite this, there were no security questions or any attempts to verify my identity or assist me. Manager Joe was equally unhelpful. He informed me that my account had been flagged as fraudulent the day before, even though no order for a phone had been processed that day. When I contacted the fraud department, they confirmed that the account had not been flagged until today. Despite the fact that the fraud department cleared my name and approved the online order I had made, Manager Joe refused to give me the phone. This was despite the fact that my order clearly stated that my phone was ready. This Verizon location fails to provide the essential customer service that is expected. There is no professionalism or willingness to assist a loyal customer. read more

I switched my phone lines from T-Mobile to Verizon after being given a handwritten quote, which I still have proof of, outlining the monthly amount I was told I would pay. Unfortunately, the pricing I was promised has never been honored. I was initially told that two lines would cost $104 per month. However, my bills have been inconsistent from the very beginning -- one month $120, another $110, and now $112. The amount changes month to month with no explanation or consistency. In addition to the billing issues, I experienced extremely poor customer service at the Verizon store in Succasunna, New Jersey. The store manager, Sharif, was dismissive, refused to listen to my concerns, and behaved in a highly unprofessional manner. Based on my experience and the way I was treated, I believe there may have been racial bias involved in his refusal to properly assist me. What has made this situation even more frustrating is the constant runaround between Verizon's online customer service and the retail store. When I call customer service, I am told I must go into the store. When I go to the store, I am told the issue is "not their problem" and that I need to contact online support. No one takes accountability, and no one has made any real effort to resolve the issue. Overall, this experience has been misleading, frustrating, and completely unprofessional. read more

Verizon announced a $20 credit due to the recent outage but even though they know by your address and phone number that you experienced the outage (the SOS), they say you have to claim it. After two days of trying, they have made it impossible for me and others to receive the $20 credit. I have tried on their website, on the phone and I even went personally to the store at 241 Rt 10 East, Succasunna, NJ. At this location, I explained the situation and I was told they had nothing to do with it and that they do not handle any billing matters and they told me to wait 24 hours after my last attempt to contact Verizon and to dial 611 and "they will walk you through it." As it turns out, 611 connected me instead to Optimum (their competitor). So essentially they not only offered no help, but blew me off with a big fat lie. They play dirty and are definitely not honest business people. The sad part is that these two mobile phone companies are the only ones available in this area so they can get away with anything. read more

Went in to upgrade 2 phones on our family plan Which included 3 phones. 3rd was with our son not onsite. This experience was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in my entire life. Me coming from a business that counts on servicing our customers was disgusted with Verizons Service. They ended up disabling our sons phone which wasn't even there At the store. Then the rep could switch my personal data over to the new phone was lost and confused. He disappeared for 20 minutes behind closed doors on the phone with Verizon. Then my wife's old phone they never disabled or removed from the account as it was still active which my wife had two phones on the same number both ringing on incoming calls. When we had issues at the store, I asked rep to make sure everything was ok and done. His response was rude and like you log in and you do it. And the manager does not take or acknowledge any responsibility and points blame elsewhere. Again being a former service manager myself, this place is nothing but a bunch of tech jerks that don't know how communicate let alone be accountable.I will never set foot in that store ever again. read more

In My experience one of the Absolute Worst Cell Phone Providers with less than zero customer support. I Never know how much my bill is gonna be month to month. This company has a total lack of respect for it's customers and their support whatsoever. When you call the number for customer service they'll tell you that they're only for new account setups for any customers who are new to Verizon. And then they hang up on you. AT&T offers much better customer service in the form of someone who won't hang up on you. Plus they will discuss and rationalize any issues that arise with your bill and rectify them if need be. As for me, I'll be waiting it out for the exact day my plan is up and I'll be taking my business somewhere, anywhere else. read more

Salespeople are focused on selling products and not necessarily providing what.l the customer may need. Not two lines and additional features not requested. I had to get on with tech support and clean out additional services including a second line listed to an unknown person. A surprise simm card blocked all my contacts and had to be removed. If I could give zero stars. I would. This place is horrible. They will sneak products into your bag and you won't notice them on your enormous bill until you get home and itemize everything. When I went in to make a return, I was ignored for 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me and then had to wait awhile after that to handle my business. Verizon Wireless continues to be the worst carrier when it comes to customer service. They have a great network, but when it comes to customer service, it's like they simply don't care. After promising myself I would never help my sister in law with her phone ever again, one year later, here I am. Yet another Verizon nightmare. After waiting 20 minutes, we find out they don't have any of the phones in stock that are advertised so we had them order one to be delivered the next day only to have FedEx delay the shipment with equipment issues. I signed up for VERIZON home internet and they sent the wireless hub a few days later. The same day i received it i attempted to set it up and it wouldn't support my cameras so i immediately called VERIZON and explained that it wouldn't work for me so i canceled the service and mind you i canceled in less than 24 hours of receiving the equipment. The agent then told me that within the next 5 - 10 days i would get a pre paid postage kit to return it which i did eventually do. Approximately 3 - 3 months later they send me a bill for over $700 saying i didn't return the equipment and they actually charged me for the same equipment with same serial & model number. On 10/7/22 I spoke to an agent and he explained that VERIZON had made a mistake by charging me twice since i only had one piece of equipment and in fact i should've not been charged at all because the equipment was in the VERIZON warehouse. He place me on hold for a few minutes and stated that he had corrected it and my balance was "ZERO". on 10/10/22 I received another email from VERIZON stating that i had a past due of $29.63, once again I talked to a live agent and he said it was for the taxes and that my balance is "ZERO" and it will be reflected in the next billing cycle. This is a classic case of the right hand not communicating with the left hand. This is a communications company and they can't even talk to each other.. read more

My wife went to the store in Succasunna yesterday to buy a tablet. Clerk would not help her or answer any questions. He said " we're only here for emergencies". When I saw the tablet (without even opening the box), I knew it was the wrong tablet for her. If you can order your phone through the Verizon website, DO IT. I went in here for a new iPhone 13 mini and bought the one I wanted. I made certain I denied the offer to get the protection plan over and over. I made sure everything I signed declined the protection insurance. Lo and behold I get my bill the next month and I have a protection plan with a monthly charge. Took 45 minutes on the phone with Verizon to take it off and credit me. Whoever sold me the phone obviously snuck this into my contract. I'll never go back here again u less it's just to look at/play with the new phones. read more

Came here recently because they have a service center in their store. Took my Omnia (pda Smartphone) in because I was having numerous problems with it, one I've had before that I know its a manufacture defect. Went to speak with a rep and he was pretty knowledgeable but his efforts were focus in getting me to get another phone either by take someone else's upgrade, through insurance, or outright buying a new phone. None of these solutions were really effective, and I bought up manufacturers defects with the guy and he just dismissed it by sayingl sometime they are and sometime they aren't. Since his solution all had me spending a minimum of $50 bucks I left the store and call Verizon customer service. They guy took me thought the steps and determined the phone needed to be replaced and since it was under warranty it was free to me. All in all saved me some money not listening to the tech at the shop. read more

My experience at this Verizon location was very dull and choppy. The gentlemen that help my mom and I pick out a phone was grumpy and sometimes rude towards us. Look out for a guy named George (solutions specialist). Had no personality and it was difficult to carry a conversation with him. Would highly recommend avoiding this gentlemen and look for one of the young workers there. read more

We waited 30 minutes just to pick up an SD card on our new phone. Very clearly understaffed, each employee was assisting a customer but there were about 4 people waiting the whole time we were there. (you would think that someone would help if you plunk down $750 for an upgrade) It took me 2.5 hours on-line with Verizon to get things squared away. When I tried to call the store and speak to someone, no one answered the phone! Even when I called the main Verizon number THEY could not get the store to answer the phone. I can see why this store has such a low rating! I purchased a new apple watch from this location. The watch was defective so I went to Apple and they confirmed the watch was indeed a defective watch. I went back to this store since I purchased it here. The rep at the store said there was nothing he could do and to go back to Apple. I immediately called Verizon from this location. The customer service department stated being that this location is a corporate store, they can absolutely take care of the defective item and do a return. Needless to say, I continued the return through customer service. I'd rather deal with the US mail system than deal with someone who has no customer service etiquette. Second issue: I purchased a protective lens cover for this same watch. It came off in two days. I went back to this store and they had the nerve to say I had to file a claim under the Zagg warranty. Seems like this store needs to have a serious revamping of Management who can properly train representatives on the power of good customer service skills. Simply put, I will not go back to this VZ store ever. There's too many other stores willing to do right by their customers. Quick to sell not to help is their motto. Verizon needs to close it's Succasunna for a day and re-train its employees, including the 3 "managers", who 1) don't have knowledge of the products they sell and 2) don't bend an inch even for 20-plus year loyal customers. When I went to the store today I was told there were 12 people ahead of me and a one hour wait. I said I'd walk across the street to get something to eat. I came back 35 minutes later and I was told I missed my turn and would have to wait at the back of the line again. Nice customer service! Worst customer service ever. Upgraded my phone in January and was asked if I wanted the maintenance to which I responded "no". Also was asked if I wanted to go paperless billing to which I responded "no". Needless-to-say my billing went paperless causing me a late fee and I was being charged for maintenance. Once I rectified that with customer service at Verizon Wireless, I contacted this store to complain but apparently the manager is always on a "conference call" or in a "meeting". I spoke to the assistant manager who emphatically informed me she would get back to me immediately. That was two weeks ago and haven't heard a word. The sales person that assisted me in January is now working at the Bridgewater store. Beware! Very very bad experience. Terrible quality all around of service and merchandise. They deserve a negative rating. In the last four years, three different devices my family purchased here were defective, and yes, one of the phones got so hot it felt like it was on fire in my son's hand. (Just like the other customer here.) They refused to do anything about it. My daughter's iphone had a manufacturer defect in the screen, but they would not fix it because the water indicator said moisture content (which was unrelated). They also sold me a tablet that hasn't worked properly since I got it, but unfortunately, I didn't know about the 14 day refund limit to get out of the 2 year contract. Lying, deceitful, and manipulative sales practices seem to be the way they operate. They don't honestly disclose information so people can make informed decisions. I think they pass off re-furbished junk as new or we wouldn't have had so many problems. We are fed up and done with Verizon rip-offs, especially at this store. They could care less about their long term customers, which we will not be any more. read more

Verizon Wireless is a joke. Don't trust anything they say. I went in there to get my mom a new phone cause she broke hers. The guy Chase at the Verizon Wireless store in Succasunna NJ store seemed nice at first told me about a Military discount and that with the new phone and discount my bill would go down. He said he even through in a Verizon HUM which I said many times I didnt need cause I have a 18 F-150 and a 17 Jetta GLI which has that built in. He said I dotn even need to use it that it would save me more money ever month. So I left there thinking im paying $224 a month and he told me my first bill would be higher but after that is would got to the normal but on my 2nd bill its $270 a month. $10 which goes to this BS HUM. After 2+ hours on the phone with Verizon which didnt want to help wanted me to pay $150 to cancel it. After alot of fighting they said I could return it at no charge. So I go to Verizon Wireless in Succasunna NJ where I was lied to spent over a hour playing games making me stand there. After I saw the guy that lied to me he ran in the back and never cam back out. The other guy Mike who said they were having system problem which is also BS finished and said I owe a $50 restocking fee. Which they will not waive. Dont trust anything this place says just make sure you read every line and ask to see the real monthly payment. And stay away from Chase he will screw you the first chance he can. read more

The absolute worst. I was upsold a $100 case two years ago because I was told I had to buy it to get the phone free. This was a lie. The phone was free in other Verizon stores without this requirement. (The expensive case was garbage, BTW). I swore to never return but I tried them again recently because they moved. Nothing has changed. The place was dead. It was raining. About four cars in the lot. Still, the receptionist (Chase) was rude and abrupt. I came in a month before my upgrade date (my phone is 100% paid off). I had spoken with a Rep about this on the phone because I was having weak battery issues and they approved an early upgrade and said they had notated my account to allow it. Chase didn't even bother to look it up. He looked down at one screen (likely a note about a more recent call) and flatly said: "There's nothing here so if you want an upgrade I'll have to charge you." I would give them 0 stars if possible. I went in today to simply exchange a defective product. They told me the piece I was looking for did not exist then began to question whether I even purchased the product at their store. I purchased two of the same phone case the day before and know the missing part does exist because one case had it and one did not. Another employee overheard the situation and said that he too knew of this piece's existence. The employee was still condescending and said that if this piece did exist he wasn't going to go look for it. Another employee jumped in and again questioned if I bought my phone case there. These are some of the rudest people I have ever worked with. They will be condescending and treat you like you are stupid. Avoid this store at all costs, it's worth it to not become angry at them. read more

Don't come to this store if at all possible. I went in to upgrade my phone and my salesperson Mike was more concerned about upgrading my case, charger, etc etc than properly backing up my old phone and all of my contacts were lost. I realized this when customers, friends and family would call and their names weren't attached to their numbers. And do yourself a favor, shop around for cases and chargers, the prices at Verizon are about twice as high as Amazon and a complete ripoff. The sales rep told me the batteries for my s4 weren't available anymore and cost around $60. Amazon had them for less than $9. Live and learn. read more
