Verizon has changed it's structure and this store is now operated locally - and it's a HUGE customer service plus! I worked with Tristan as a business client and he provided excellent customer service. Accomplished my goals, did a full audit of my account, and worked in a proficient manner. The store itselft has been completed remodeled and the employees were greeting people as they came in and apologizing for the wait, asking if they needed a beverage. The service I received made a very stressful day just a bit more manageable. read more

The older male employee in this store was extremely unprofessional and rude. I went in to get help with an upgrade I had gotten online, and without letting me explain the situation he interrupted me and yelled some questions at me. When I tried to explain again the situation, he raised his voice at me again and again wouldn't let me finish. I then said, I'm going to leave and he shoved the box at me across the counter. This was at the Verizon store on 825 Williston Rd, near UVM. I then went to the Verizon store in Williston and the employee there calmly and courteously solved the problem in 15 minutes. Just a heads up that Verizon's iPhone 14 for $0 deal costs $95 to set up, the $400 discount on the over $700-valued phone is deducted from. your bill over 3 years, and when you try to set it up to avoid the second $35 fee they charge you, you get a hard sell for "support and protection" plan before they activate it. Worst customer service and cell service I've ever had. I have had to go back to the store multiple times for multiple issues with the phone they sold me and multiple screw ups on my bill. They charged me for insurance that I told them multiple times that I did not not approve. Then when I told them I (obviously) wanted a credit on my account for the $200 they charged me without my authorization, they tried multiple times to get me to only accept a $100 credit. What? You literally stole from me and now want to only give back half of what you took, ya right. But wait, there's more! We traded in multiple phones and put down a huge amount of money to have zero monthly phone payments and you guessed it, they screwed that up too! We were paying about $100 a month more than we should have, and they would have just kept taking it unless I went and spent another 2 hours at the store arguing with them. Stay as far away from this company as you possibly can. You can get the same exact service ( literally the same towers) for a much better price and they're waaaayyyy easier to work with. And I'm sure Verizon will leave the same generic response that doesn't address my or anybody else's concerns. So, thanks for nothing read more

Zero stars for Verizon itself and 4 stars for the customer service at this particular location. I was on vacation when my very expensive, top of the line LG phone died. We headed into this store as soon as they opened and had to wait about 30 minutes for help. Once Wynston helped me, the aggravation caused by Verizon continued, but through it all, Wynston was calm, cool and collected and helped me to feel less crappy about the situation. LONG story short, the outside insurance company refused to honor the terms of our contract (there is a Florida loophole which basically allows them to provide nothing in terms of insurance coverage, be warned, Floridians!), so I paid off the old, dead phone and purchased a new phone. Wynston got the new phone up and running ASAP and also removed our useless insurance from our Verizon account. In all Verizon is a huge disappointment, but Wynston and the rest of the staff at this location made the abuse by Verizon a bit less unpleasant. read more

3 employees in the store out of perhaps 6 total weren't wearing masks, this being 10 days after the statewide mask mandate went into effect for all indoor business places in Vermont. At least the help I received eventually worked out, but it took 90 minutes just to upgrade my data plan and resolve why my phone & my wife's device weren't processing simple actions (like playing YouTube videos, downloading Spotify playlists). Seriously, Verizon, are you ever going to do the right thing, now the LEGAL thing, with regard the COVID-19 pandemic situation? I work for the State Of Vermont, the rule is clear: Employees and customers must wear masks indoors AT ALL TIMES, not just periodically whenever you feel like it because that completely defeats the purpose. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the South Burlington, VT Verizon customer service. I purchased an I Phone 11 a short time ago. Within 3 months of my purchase, I started having difficulty with my cell freezing, dropping calls and unable to retrieve messages. I went in to the only true Verizon Corporate Store, in the area for customer support a minimum of 8 times. I also worked with the "free" online support service Verizon offers. After many trips into Verizon, the sales associate offered to change the Sim card. That didn't correct the situation. Finally, the sales person offered to help me return my new cell for a refurbished (used) cell phone. My refurbished cell arrived overnight as promised. And, so the cycle repeated itself. More problems cropped up. I couldn't charge my cell without it becoming dangerously hot. An online support customer person offered me a deal...If you pay 25.00 more a month you can access to in home support. Seriously! After another hour long round trip to the South Burlington, Williston Road, Vermont Verizon, the associate told me he needed my charger to detect the issue. I was in disbelief. I said good bye and drove to another carrier. There is nothing more important than making the customer feel heard, validating the problem and correcting the issue efficiently. None of this happened in my experience at the South Burlington Vermont, Verizon. Beware, if you don't want a significant runaround, waste precious time, don't do business there. read more

Just a quick short story. I went i the morning of 4-29-19. Just looking to upgrade from an iPhone 6s to an iPhone 10r. They took my number and I sat on a chair and waited. My name finally called 45 min later being the forth in line. The guy said I just need to verify a few questions. Which was fine. The last question was I'm sending a message to the primary account holder which I just sent a code then you tell me the code. I'm on a family plan so I called the primary account holder no answer sent a message and called two other times. I Just want to give people a heads up any time you need to do anything to the phone like an upgrade make sure your primary account holder can be reached!!!!! read more

After Scott attempted to get my boyfriend to buy a case and car charger etc to go with his new iphone 3+ times and us both saying no thanks 3+ times they sent a second sales man Joe over. He started in on the same sales pitch and I said we already said no 3 times and NO means NO. He told me, "No doesn't mean No." Joe is crossing the line here. Excellent, amazing, fantastic service! I only had to wait a few minutes despite the store being very busy, and the gent who took care of me took three seconds to assess the issue with my defective Galaxy Nexus, and ran right back to get me a replacement, which he took more care to set up than when I originally bought the phone. When I asked about buying the extended battery, he carefully processed my items in order to get me a great discount, and when I asked for screen protectors, he even checked to make sure I really needed them, since they came in a three-pack and he thought I might still have a couple at home. This store really can't handle any tech support issues. Bought a new Pixel phone online from Verizon, had all kinds of problems activating it at home and setting it up, so I went to the store. Girl wasn't much use, as the phone couldn't connect to their wireless network (same as my issue at home). She kept going into the back for help I guess. Finally she got past that issue and began the setup, but she did it as a new setup, not as a transfer from my existing phone. She said it was not a new setup, and I didn't believe her, but I let her do it anyway. Turns out it didn't copy over any of my apps, pictures or texts. She hands me a piece of paper with instructions, which I didn't look at carefully until I got home, and it's Android to iPhone instructions. Not what I needed. Looked it up online and Verizon's instructions were still wrong. Was able to figure it out myself and now things are transferring as I write this. read more

Verizon is an evil company that takes advantage of its users. With that being said, I'd like to separate Verizon from this particular Verizon store. I have been here a fair amount over the years for various needs and have rarely had good service. I feel like a mark when I walk in. The reps definitely have a clear agenda focused on selling as much as possible. I've never had a rep actually listen to my entire story before trying to sell me a fix. It is very obvious that the reps have games they play, for example, the person who sells the most cases gets a bonus. I recently went in for an upgrade and with it an explanation of the new no contract plan vs. the contract I've had for nearly a decade. The rep never actually listened to my question. Instead, he pulled out a sheet and confusingly showed me how I'd save money that would allow me to spend that money on things like insurance, a larger phone, more data, a case, and extra chargers. I went to another store and received a very thorough explanation and an honest assessment of my needs as actually requiring less than what I was told at Verizon. Verizon is full of fast talking salesmen who have already wasted time they could be selling on you by saying hello. They are not quick to fix problems, instead shifting the blame to the customer wherever possible. Don't waste your time here. read more

Verizon wireless is probably the best cell phone company in Vermont. Their reception is sort of bad, but when you think about the terrain it is understandable. I have some good and bad memories of this store. Most of the bad ones are due to their cell phones dying suddenly which isn't really the fault of this store, per se. read more

Verizon and I have never been on the same page it seems. Its sad because I love their coverage! So I was a customer of Verizon's for about 7 years. During this time something simple like getting my bill to be correct was hard for them. The 1-800 number was pretty much useless. So I came here most of the time. So to start off. When you walk into the store you will be greeted by one or 2 people. From here you must "Check in". They take your name and phone number if you have one. This is a great idea. The only thing is...If you come during any peak hours of the day like after work be ready to wait a long time before anyone sees you. Maybe a good 30-60 minutes (Even if its a 5 second question about your account). So if you got time to kill make sure you have a great app or something to keep you entertained with! The stores lay out isn't to bad. Its your basic wall of models and accessories. All of the models are live. You are able to pick them up and play around with them. So that's a plus here. What made me leave? 1) Long waits in the corp stores. (In some cases poor customer service but not always) 2) The 1-800 number is useless. If you want a fix then you have to visit a local store. Not an issue if the store could answer a simple question with out having to wait an hour. 3) Billing with Verizon was never correct. So many times through the years i would have been over billed for items I never got nor wanted. While this isn't always the stores fault per say...They are still a rep of the company. As much as I liked Verizon's signal in my area its just not worth the hassle! The corp store didn't help very much either. So now I'm with Sprint for now. An ok 2/5! Also they only try to push Android on every customer...Why? So many better mobile OS's out there! read more

While the manager was friendly, he was clearly uninterested in doing anything to help. I got the feeling that because I hadn't signed up at that location, he couldn't be bothered to offer me any solutions or be bothered to keep me as a verizon customer. Here's my story of how this store dropped the ball and then dropped it again a dozen more times... I bought a new phone here and the sales guy I had was actually great in person; I felt like he was really helpful and friendly and took care of me - but he ended up dropping the ball on a promotion (that he talked me into) for a gift card. After a month, having not received the card, I reached out and was told to be patient because sometimes it can take longer. Same thing after 8 weeks. Same thing after 12 weeks. So I finally called to ask a manager instead. The manager wasn't available and didn't return my call within the time promised; I had to call multiple times over two weeks and was finally informed the original promotional documents had not been submitted by the sales person and it was now beyond the eligible time period. But the manager offered to credit my bill by the amount of the promotion, which was a resolution I was fine with. Unfortunately several days went by without the credit appearing, so I called again. Once again the manager wasn't available and didn't return my call within the time promised, and I had to call several times again before finally being told he had processed the credit... but for LESS than the amount he had promised. At this point (5+ months later) I was done chasing the store for a resolution so I filed a report online with the Better Business Bureau. The good news is that within one day, I got a call from a Verizon corporate office rep who took care of the credit immediately. read more

My wife has been in the store for almost 4 hours and she is told it could take up to 4 more hours to get a phone pinged to a new one. We live an hour away and are told to comes back tomorrow. This was not my first experience with this Verizon store, but it was a great one. Our family came in looking to split our family plan and ask questions about upgrades. I left with a new plan in place and my new phone all set up, and my husband had all of his questions answered. We worked with Chris (unfortunately I do not know his last name). His customer service was awesome; helpful and approachable, not at all pushy. He helped me find a good case and screen protector for my new phone and helped get everything transferred over for me. My parents were so impressed that they asked if they could work with him when they return later in the week to do their upgrades! read more

Although I had a problem with my phone, two amazing ladies at the South Burlington office knocked themselves out to resolve it, even staying late after the store had closed, and fighting against an unresponsive national system. They were ingenious, persistent, and did a great job. Almost everybody is going to have a phone problem at some point.
