Customer service does not exist anymore. If I could give them a 0 star I would. I went to return a completely on opened on used Samsung phone case. Verizon was charging $59.99 for this phone case, I found it directly through Samsung for only $29.99. Verizon was charging double the price that Samsung was charging directly. When I asked them to issue me a refund and return the case the manger told me that they would only give me in exchange for something else in the store. Given that I did not need a phone case or a phone charger I had to buy a speaker and spend more money. This experience has been extremely disappointing especially with how much money I spend each month with Verizon. read more

This is one of the slowest verizon stores I have been to. Also the people that take names for the waiting list seem to not want to answer questions or help. At other verizon stores when they take your name for the waiting list (if there is one) they seem to see if you have a quick question that they can help. This makes the whole store more efficient. Now my simple question is answered I am on my way very quickly and not holding up the people behind the counters for a question that was simple to begin with. Most the time you can just watch employees just chatting with each other yet they are still too busy to answer your question. I did give it 3 stars due to the fact once you are with someone they do spend more than enough time with you to ensure your question was answered. read more

I don't usually write bad reviews because everyone has a bad day. But this location is something else! My mom went into this Verizon location on January 13th and was there between 1 and 3 pm. As soon as she walked in, no one helped her and she was standing around, waiting for someone to at least acknowledge her. She started speaking with the employee name Conrad. He was very helpful and I truly appreciate him being patient with my mom. However, after he had set up an upgrade for my mom, and had given her a breakdown of the monthly bill which was reasonable and made sense. This woman who claims to be a manager Patty (she was also the only one dressed unprofessional, you couldn't even tell she worked there) decided to get involved and tell my mom that she is the manager. She's the one who approves everything and everything has to go through her and that he didn't have any say. Her attitude was disgusting. It sounds to me like she's having some sort of power trip. She then told my Mom the only thing she could do for her was disconnect all of our devices and our phone numbers and give us all new ones and start a whole new contract that was DOUBLE what we are paying now. I told my mom to leave because Patty is taking advantage of people. By the looks of these reviews at this location it's an ongoing thing. Their were multiple customers upset and 1 was even complaining about Patty. The employees looked very scared and intimidated by her. Cooperate needs to get involved, new management or customer service lesson would be helpful. No one should be taken advantage of by someone not liking their job. We then decided to go to a different Verizon store and they were absolutely wonderful. The bill was not doubled whatsoever and they were so patient. Stay away from the Verizon at Simi Valley Town Center. Not only I had to wait for over 1 and half hours. The manager Chris was trying to upsell me Verizon plan. When I got there I asked for a particular iPhone and they said they have two in stock. I waited and watch to see if that phone sold. When Chris trying to upsell me the Verizon plan and a screen protector for $50, really! I can get the screen protector at Amazon or Best Buy for less. I had to tell Chris for the fourth time I want my plan as is and the iPhone and nothing more. Then he draw the paper work and tell me the phone will be arriving in two days. He told me the phone sold out and I watched during my stay if any iPhone sold. Chris sorry I didn't helped get your store sales quota for the month. I gone to the Verizon store at Tapo Canyon in Simi Valley and got great service and even I had to tell them twice what I wanted they had the phone and I didn't had to wait so long. Horrible customer service. Needed a new phone asap. Went to this store and was told I needed an appointment. He was not helping anyone at the time but stated he had an appointment coming shortly. I asked if I needed to pay off an existing phone to purchase a new one under payment plan. He said I needed to call them directly to pay it off before he could sell me a new phone. He made me an appointment for the next available which was the following day. Waited outside for a friend for 20 minutes. I guess that appointment was a no show. Called Verizon Corporate. Though they said there isn't much they can do, they filed a complaint and miraculously scheduled me an appointment for that same day. Prior to my new appointment, I went to Best Buy. I bought the Android S21 and they gave me a 350 dollar credit as well as discounts for case and screen. Best if all, they were able to process payment for the balance owed on my old phone. Seems this location promotes rigid rules that are not a favorable result for good customer service. Go to Best Buy. read more

Everyone is so amazing and on point that I couldn't ever imagine going to any other service provider. I would love to give this store 5 stars, and I would be able to if it was just based on my last trip (out of 3 in less than 24 hrs) to this location. My first two times were a bust. First time I was helped by a nice guy. He went and gathered everything up for me, iPhone X 256 gb, cases, screen protectors etc but in the mean time I was told by another male employee that the iPhone X isn't very good and I should go home and research it first. I thought I already had and all was positive but now I had a seed of doubt planted in my mind. Fast forward to the next day, and more googling iPhone x's for customer satisfaction, I bought my $1149. iPhone X on my second trip. Not impressed at all with the customer service. It was basically: me paying for my new iPhone & then him saying "thanks Hank, oh you don't know what the eff you're doing? Wow sucks to be you" and shooed me out the door. I had dealt with this person before on a previous purchase so I didn't think it would be that way when I walked in and saw him. I went home and tried my best to get my new ($1149.) iPhone X working. Well it didn't happen. I spent a good 1.5 hours on the phone with a very nice Verizon customer service/trouble shooting rep named Rachael. She did all she could to help me over the phone but to no avail. Finally she told me to go into the store where I bought my iPhone just hours ago. She told me it seemed as if I had a "bum phone" Thank God and I do mean thank God when I walked in to Verizon for the third time in less than 24 hours, I was helped (and I do mean finally helped) by Carmen. She was sweet, caring and so smart. She knows that phone backwards and forwards. She spent time with me getting my old iPhone backed up on iCloud and then spent time with me getting my new iPhone all set up without skipping a beat. All this while helping others as well. The other person I purchased my iPhone from didn't offer one caring word or suggestion other than "hmm yeah I dunno" (I am getting ticked off right now thinking about it) anyhow it ended up a 5 star experience due to Carmen at the Verizon Simi Valley Town Center location, but again I can only give 4 stars and thinking about it I probably should only give 3 stars, due to the stinky experience I had buying the phone. I came in here literally the day after being laid off, looking to port a corporate phone number, wearing a hoodie that was at least 30% pet hair, and appearing generally like a disheveled sad sack. The staff at Verizon did a nice job handling my request, but the cool Jewish guy (Mark I think?) was particularly kind. Verizon if you read this, give this man a raise, more responsibility, etc. because he really built your brand that day - and frankly, he made a very terrible day in my life better than it would have been otherwise. Awful service here. My phone hasn't been working, so I went in last night. I waited for 40 minutes and still couldn't get anyone to help me, or even to ask how much longer a wait might be, so I left without getting help. I went in today to see if I'd have better luck. Well, I didn't have to wait, but I didn't get any help. When I told the employee I hadn't been getting service on my phone for a week, he turned on my data and said that would fix it. I then had to explain to him that data is different from service. Then he took out the battery and put it back in and said, "It's working now." As if I hadn't tried that throughout the week...So when I asked how I can be sure I'll still have data in, say, a couple hours, he said, "I don't know." He had this condescending attitude this whole time too. To say that my previous encounters here were lukewarm would also be generous. Employees are often pushy with their 'recommendations,' telling you what they think you should buy without asking anything about your usage or anything and often talk to me like I don't know anything about the way that phones work. read more

I am so relieved to see that me and my Mom were not the only ones treated badly at this store!! This company is by far the worst with customer service. We didn't get pressured by salespeople though. We simply went in to pay a bill, which is always a nightmare in and of itself. We had the displeasure of having Brandon as our lovely behind the counter employee. We walked in and he just looked at us. No hello, nothing. Typical. We tried explaining our situation with having problems paying over the phone and that I was told i needed to come into a store to change my pin. He could have cared less, was cocky, rude and I assume we were bothering him since he wasn't going to make a sale. My Mom had enough and asked where the manager was, he snidely told us there wasn't one in and that he could write down their names for us. Since he wasn't wearing a name tag we had to ask several times what his name was, which he never gave. He seemed pretty confident that mngmt wouldn't care less and nothing would be done to him by his behavior if we complained. He gave us their names but intentionally left his name off of the paper. Luckily a gal coming into work said hello to him by name. This is and has been the same ongoing issue I have seen with this Co. for years and it's the main reason i switched carriers long ago. Unfortunately my Mom signed up with them for her home phone service which she will be switching asap. Even though my work would give me 22% off of my cell service if I use them, my experience with them confirmed I made the right decision to leave and nothing has changed. After setting up my mom's phone for an upgrade by transferring it from another phone on our account I told her that according to the order confirmation and website the phone would be ready to pick up with in an hour. I had confidence that she would not have any problems and it would be as painless as possible. After about an hour my mom called me clearly upset saying that the sales associate Ryan E. had repeatedly told her she could not pick up the phone and she need to come back after 2 days because there was no such thing as an "in-store pick up." I asked my mom to please put him on the phone so I could try and understand why they would not let this happen and were giving her a horrible experience. Ryan stated "I do not talk on phones because there is too much e-coli." I stopped my night and went up to Verizon. The moment I walked in he said "you need to leave there is nothing else we can do" and started to step towards my mom to physically move her from the store. I informed him he cannot do that and he threw his hands up and walked into the back. He then returned saying he was deactivating one phone on the account to activate the new one. This is not OK considering this phone is used by another person. I tried to ask him question on what we can do and why we can't get a new phone again he threw up his hands and walked to the back saying "I CAN'T HELP YOU!" Finally Carmen came and very politely and graciously set up the new phone with no problem and didn't understand why he couldn't do the same. That store is very lucky to have Carmen who understands how to treat a customer. All and all I am disappointed that Verizon keeps people like Ryan E. in their stores to "help"customers. I will be filing a formal compliant with Verizon and also writing a letter to that store manager as this issue needs to be faced immediately. read more

When I began explaining what I needed help with, they seemed bothered that they had to stop what they were doing. They just kept looking at their phones as I spoke. Finally one responded to me and the other three got up and went in the back. Although the one who responded just tried to send me to the Apple Store for help, when he just needed to answer a question about uploading to the ICloud. On both occasions I was unable or not allowed to buy the ear piece I needed. I had to wait. On both occasions I waited until I simply had no time and left. This store is unorganized and poorly managed....Tell Dre he IS NOT THE DOCTOR!!! My wife, son and baby came it to get new phones. We picked out everything we wanted and asked if it would be ok for us to leave and come back when they had everything wrapped up. The young lady helping us said would be absolutely fine. We returned about an hour later, and she was helping another guest. After waiting for over an hour and watching multiple people being helped by other sales reps, I asked the manager why is it taking so long. At this point it was obvious he was having a bad day. He made comments to me along the lines of "what do you expect me to do? I can't predict who comes in the store." I feel we should have been helped after a few minutes. I agree that he cannot predict who comes in, however he should realize we were in the store before all of the other people and we should have been told when we got back we would have to wait for our sales rep. I am in the customer service business, and saying things to guests like that is absolutely unnecessary. I watched the manager greet people at the front door for the entire time I was there. Overall I am very disappointed, I have been a Verizon customer a very long time and I must consider changing providers. read more

Went here because my phone was " about to explode " is what they told me the battery was separating the glass on both sides of the phone . The team gave me a temp phone and TOOK my old one until my replacement came in the mail . when my new phone came I went and returned the temp phone and asked if I needed to do anything else the said no so I went about my day ... well corporate called me 3 times telling me I was going to be charged full price of the replacement because the phone was not returned. I called to let them know that the store took it from me the day I went in . Almost a month later and a $ 700 charge the SIMI VALLEY TOWN CENTER VERIZON. Had my phone still sitting at the store there response " sorry an employee dropped the ball" had I not called to check they would have never sent it in ....now I'm waiting for corporate to receive the old phone to hopefully get a refund !!! read more

I had the worst experience. A day prior to coming to the Verizon store I called the tech support. Tech support tried to help me fix my phone but upon trying multiple times the issue was not resolved the next step was to switch the SIM card so the tech support lady online told us go to the Soni location and they will switch it out. I told her don't I need an appointment? And she's stated no that she put it on the notes. When we got there the manager George helped us out and stated that the SIM card was not going to fix anything. He didn't even bother looking at my account all. He asked a bunch of questions and I told him I've tried multiple times and to look at the account. He kept repeating him self that it wasn't going to fix the issue and that if it makes us happy he will change it. At that point I walked away. I've had horrible service not only from Verizon but the manager at Verizon George. I have 5 lines with Verizon and all of them have insurance the bill is almost $500 monthly and this is the treatment I get? Honestly I think T-Mobile has better service and it's cheaper.
