She was broke down the upgrade for me from how much my bill will be to making sure I got the best deal on my phone plan. She also looked at my previous bills due to them being a bit higher than usual. She found out what happened and explained to me that it was an error on that AT&T part and that it will be fixed. Mind you no other customers were there. I have phone insurance that I have paid for years. So the AT&T clerk sent me to ubreakifix were I was charged $29 just for any minor issue. This might be the longest review I have ever written. I decided to upgrade our phones to the Iphone 17 and went to a retailer store in Simi on September 18th. I was treated very well by the manager and within less than 1/2 hour, I had the phones (2) pre-ordered. Last Wednesday (Oct 1st), as I had not heard from the store (I asked that the phones were delivered at the store), I called the retail store and to my surprise, the manager was a total different person from the one I met on September 18th. She was rude, aggressive, and brush me off and then my real problems began. After much confusion and insults by her, she agreed to try to cancel the orders. One of the phones was canceled (a silver one), but the orange one was on its way and without even explaining that to me, she said she could not cancel the second (I found that out as I contacted Customer Service). I contacted AT&T (a nightmare to get to customer service or understand what they are saying), and was told they canceled the second during that call. To my surprise, today, I received a text message that the phone had arrived! Well, I had already started the process of getting a new provider, and wanted to return the packed/unused phone that was at the retail store. The manager said she could not receive it and that I had to go to a Corporate store. Another call to AT&T Customer Service... After 2 hours (literally 2 hours!) on the phone and a bunch of inaccurate information, I made a 3-way call to this Corporate Store. Jason, who picked up the phone, immediately explained to me that the phone was to be returned via a label generated by AT&T and gave me the phone number of the business department/retailer complaints. He had no interest in selling me anything, but was so knowledgeable and professional. I follow his advice and received the label from the business department attendant after another almost 2-hour call. And then another nightmare started! As I hang up the phone with the attendant, I no longer had cell connection! I clearly told the guy that I was going to continue using my (our) phone(s) (my son's and mine) with AT&T until I was ready to transfer them to the new provider, which would take about 2 to 3 weeks. However, AT&T cut my service! I immediately thought of Jason, and drove to the this store. As I went in the store, I was immediately greeted by a lady who asked me to wait a little, within less than 10 minutes (the store was full), I was assisted by Shane. Shane was great! I explained to him my situation, he accessed my account while Jason (only then I got to know that he is the manager) came over - he did not hear much of my conversation with Shane, but he immediately remembered my earlier call and knew the details of it. Shane reconnected my service! We might find unprofessional people out there, but they do not work in this store. You have to remember that they had zero interest in selling me anything. They knew I was switching providers, but helped me with the same attention and dedication as if they were selling me a ton of merchandise. I am extremely grateful to them and even though, I am leaving AT&T, if you are with this provider or is considering them and need professional/unbiased assistance, this is the store you want to go to. And Ah... remember that sales taxes in Ventura County are lower than other counties (LA, for example), so go see them if you are interested in getting AT&T as the provider for your cell services. When I bought a new cellphone and tried to enroll it into our AT&T account, the assistant refused to help me. He gave me a excuse that the name registered under my account doesn't match the name on my ID. Later I went back and called customer service hot line. Actually the name under my account is as same as it showed on my ID. Don't come to this AT&T branch store if you have choice. read more

Lies, lies, lies. The slick saleswoman there swore up and down that if we added another mobile line and switched our legacy plan to a new plan, our total bill would be $160/mo instead of $170/mo. Turns out it's pushing $220/mo instead with no other special charges that would have driven up the bill. Of course they "couldn't" print out any confirmation from us at the store of our new monthly billing rate, so now it's our word against theirs. What a PoS store and people. read more

Been a customer for years never any problems until now. Bought my wife a new phone for Xmas. They tried signing me up with a first net plan. It's for first responders they get a discount. Since I work at ucla they said I qualify. First net is a separate entity than at and T. They rejected my proof of employment pay stubs even though it says Ucla on my pay stub. They also rejected my ucla employee badge which was another way to prove your employment. All of a sudden I got a $2400 bill stating that I need to pay off the remaining balance of all my devices or they will shut them off within 30days. At and T had to deactivate my first net account take everything out of my wife's name and create a new account with at and T at a normal rate not discounted. This took 4hours after a long day of work. We thought everything was solved and now back with at and T at normal rates. Then my wife receives a bill from first net stating we owe $400 and they forwarded to a collections lawyer. We shouldn't owe first net dick. My account was current at the time of the switch. Infact the employee had me pay anything minus the device fees before we could even start the process. I am very busy. Tried to solve this on a Sunday night before closing. They stated on maps and their business door hours of operation but I guess this particular Sunday they decided to lock the doors at 620pm when they close at 7pm?? Twice I have tried to walk in and just simply use their kiosk to pay my bill. But it was down. I show up today at 10am to pay my bill. Lady finally comes out at 10:10am and says she is short staffed on this Monday and will be opening up later at 1030am. What a bunch of fucking clowns. The only one that seemed knowledgeable was their manager. I do thank him he gave me 700 credit for the issue. But it's still not solved because first net is still asking for a $400 payment and it's in collections. What a nightmare I cringe every time I see that rep who helped me during Xmas since she is the one that offered me this discount that ruined everything.. read more

I can not recommend Linda enough. I came in with my 2 year at around 4pm on Saturday. I needed a new phone & a new line. Linda was polite, professional & most importantly compassionate. My 2 year old getting restless & she put on a show for him. Then gave him toys, then put on a show for him on her phone. I wanted to get a high quality car charger so I chose to come to this official AT&T store instead of choosing the alternate options of amazon etc because I trusted that AT&T would sell the best quality product. Within 1 year, the charger stopped working properly. I went back to this store telling them that I trusted that they would sell a high quality product and that I wanted either a refund or an exchange. They wouldn't do either because I didn't have my receipt. I told them that it is unrealistic to expect a person to hold onto a receipt for one year. The charger shows their AT&T logo and it's a new product overall so that should be enough evidence that I got it from them within the year window. I even told them that I could show them my credit card purchase history. They said that the credit card history doesn't explicitly show the item name. Just three comments: 1) It's ridiculous how these people are so obsessive over the technicality of the receipt that none of those evidences matter to them. 2) It's shocking that they don't care that a customer is saying that they trusted their product would be better than the alternate amazon ones and yet they don't care to see it fail within a year. 3) Overall, this store doesn't care about customer satisfaction. The worker I spoke to, I think her name was Linda, wouldn't even share this with the manager because according to her, only large scale matters should be shared with the manager. This store is so singularly focused on profit (i.e. the letter of the law) that they cannot see a simple case of facilitating customer satisfaction (i.e. the spirit of the law). For a corporate AT&T store, this location blows!!! Husband and I were looking to leave Sprint and WE DID! We decided to go with Verizon (BEST DECISION EVER!!!!) thanks to Mason who is the worst salesman and Keith the worst manager. Let me break it down for you: Mason did not once listen to our needs and he kept pushing a bundle that we clearly told him "no thank you" about 20 times. Mason did not care and continued to push the bundle because he wanted to "save us money". I've worked in sales for over 10+ years, one thing I know is LISTEN TO YOUR CLIENTS!!! If Mason knew better he would stop pushing something I was clearly not interested in and LISTEN!!!! Moreover, Mason and Keith personally promised us a plan; and eventhough we were both ready to sign, I wanted to talk it over privately with my husband and make sure this is what we both wanted. After agreeing and talking it over dinner, husband and I decided to call to confirm the following day. Mason confirmed!!!! And said "manager Keith has authorized it and we're good to go!! Come to the store". My husband and I drove to the store!!!! MASON CONTINUED TO PUSH THE BUNDLE!!! and KEITH SAID HE NEVER AUTHORIZED ANYTHING!!! Long story short, we left! The Store Manager lies and doesn't listen. I specifically informed him many times that I didn't not want to be apart of the ATT NeXT program where I am charged $5 per month to turn my phone in early. I specifically told him I have no plans to turn my phone in. He then called an associate from the back to complete my sign up. The co worker seemed to be really upset at this guy and didn't say a word to me the entire time, didn't listen, lies, and signed me up for the NeXT program. The vibes are off here. There use to be bench seats in the front of the store and the employees took it upon themselves to remove them so we can no longer sit down while we wait hours for them .. Today I went in to transfer from T-Mobile and set up a new phone plan and get a new phone, Shane was the one that helped me out and made everything so easy that I didn't even have to think about anything. He set up my new plan, and was able to get me the new purple iPhone 14, which I assumed they wouldn't have in stock and they would have to mail it to me in a few days, but they had it and I left with my phone, a screen protector, new phone case and a free phone charger! yesterday was truly amazing because of Nairy! I once read when our phone breaks, isn't working, or we lose it we can develop a panic attack that similar to having a heart attack and while I wasn't feeling quite at this level, I still wasn't feeling great! I was having major phone problems dropping calls, not sending texts or sending only one text but my family getting multiple texts! my carrier, at the time, said it wasn't them and that I just need to get a new 5g phone! Everybody knows getting a new phone is going to run you at least $1000.... when I went to Apple to do a diagnostic they said nothing was wrong with my phone! I did my own research and found out in my area AT&T is the best and I walked into the store, feeling really beat up as anybody does when having phone issues and that's when she walked up and started helping me immediately. She is extremely intelligent, very patient, thoughtful, and helpful ! If anyone in Simi Valley ever finds themselves at AT&T, definitely go to her. She is absolutely magnificent. read more

Absolute the worst service, Abel has poor salesman skills. Sold me a free watch and did not mention any hidden fees, or communicate with me about setting it up. He kept giving me the runaround that there were issues with the "system". I kept calling back to see what was going on, he would never return my calls. weeks later going in they told me I had to pay over 200 in order to get the watch, with all kinds of different fees. I might as well buy a new watch from target. Be straight up with your customers about hidden fees and if your running a business COMMUNICATE instead of hiding in the break room do better. read more

Absolute worst of the worst. Dishonest and not ethical. Went in for my son to trade in my old iPhone to get him a new phone and line for his birthday. The "kind" sales rep, Nairy, comes back with the phone and a brand new iPad mini that she says is complimentary when we add a new line. I said my other son is 7, he doesn't need a line, just a wifi ipad. She said the line is free and a credit will show up on my bill in a few cycles....it didn't. Also, the iPad wasn't complimentary, the installment charges showed up on the bill with no credit offset. I came back to the store after the 3rd billing cycle with still no credit. The manager, Abel, couldn't immediately assist, but said he'd follow up in a few days. He didn't, I had to reach out at that point and he said he was still looking into it and would be in touch. A week later I went back into the store again because he still had not contacted me after he again said he would. All I wanted was the credit or to return the iPad and I'd go get my son a wifi only one from Best Buy. I explained everything to Linda, the assistant manager, on my second visit. Sitting next to her was a woman who looked familiar but not quite the same as my sales rep from back in July. I explained everything to Linda with the other rep sitting next to her. Said her name was Mary, Marley, something like that but I had the name on the receipt at home. I did see Linda and the other lady look at their screen and shoot each other a quick look, but did not acknowledge it was in fact her that had helped me back then. I did confirm it when I went back home and checked my receipt. At no time did Nairy, who was sitting there, take accountability for her sales service, work to offer a solution or otherwise try to own my customer experience. All she contributed was "yeah, I don't see any discounts applied to your bill either...." I left the store that day with a promise from Linda I would hear from her by the end of the day. I'm sure you can guess where this is headed. Linda did not call me as discussed so I called the store to get the number for the regional manager. Linda would not provide it to me and connected me to Abel who offered a solution that was not what we discussed earlier as an amicable resolution. I then asked for his boss's contact information a few times and he flat out refused to provide it and said he would not give me that contact information. When I said I would get it one way or another and said I'd go to small claims, he encouraged me to do so. So I did and I will. The ironic thing is while I was there, another man came in with his family and could hear he was having a similar experience with what he was told when he was in the store last week isn't what they were able to provide now. Usually I dismiss claims like that because you hear it all before but in this case I'd say it warrants further attention to detail when you agree to sign up for any service in this store. Shame on me for not doing more due diligence and trusting the rep, but shame on them for not even attempting to make it right. I finally called AT&T direct. Brooklyn, the sales rep, was fantastic. She heard my concerns and provided me with an agreeable solution. Still would like to have word with Abel's boss though. read more

I went to this store because the ATT phone support people told me it is the quickest way to get a replacement data cable. I walked in the store and was approached by this woman named Amber. She asked me for the purpose of my visit. I showed her the broken cable and told her that I was looking for a cable to replace that broken one. Amber told me to put my name on the list of "walk-in" clients and said that "someone will address your issues when it's your turn". 45 minutes later, when it was my turn, this idiot woman looked me dead in the eye and said " we don't carry accessories at our stores" and "you need to call customer service to see where you'd get one" SERIOUSLY?! This she could not have told me when she checked me in for walk-in appointments?? when I showed her the cable? I had to wait 45 minutes just for her to tell me that? Where do they get people like Amber to work for ATT? Is she a graduate of "Best Waste of Space Academy"? What is her purpose at the store and life in general? Does anyone actually "work" here ? After "checking in" all the minions disappeared into the back for a significant noticeable amount of time. Left a lot of blank staring customers looking around at each other. Came in to purchase a "hotspot". So far sitting for 12 minutes doing nothing. Wonderful. If I wanted this kind of ignore, I could have gone to the Apple store. But listening to a sales person tell stories to an older lady of how software updates cause failures in devices is rather comical Finally got a salesman. 25 minutes later. And no I didnt want any part of his crappy satellite non dodger channel tv connection up sale Price on WiFi grew $ 20 in 7.5 feet. Nope. Not paying more than their advertised price and had to put up with some BS we will discount your prepay account. Also found out they don't take checks because there is construction in the area that knocked out their WiFi. Yet magically they accept cards. And by the way my phone was connected to their WiFi the entire time. Well here I am. WiFi hot spot went dead. Called and was told there is a one year warranty and need to return it to the place of purchase. Sitting here at place of purchase and was told that it's only good for exchange for 14 days. Was given an 800 number to call. Sitting on hold now for 20 minutes. No one answers. Plus the people that work here completely don't care and are NOT helpful. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere UPDATE. LOL. Got a response to this posting from what three months ago ? Canned response of how we value all customers and how they have a trained staff available to handle your problems. Blah. Blah. Blah. If you truly cared, which clearly they don't, maybe they would have contacted me directly ? Nope. No one does it the right way anymore. Seems all cell service companies SUCK.
