I am unable to contact the store directly, customer service for Verizon cannot connect me or refund the paid amount to have the store associate transfer the data, no way for anyone other than store employee to assist. They are useless and the singular worst Verizon store I gave ever been to. I have been a Verizon wireless customer for 30 years. I started with a bag phone and this encounter was enough for me to switch carriers. I have 4 lines and I have paid them 3k-5k a year. There has to be a better company to deal with. I try to avoid the Verizon store at all costs but when the new iPhone is back ordered on their website and the store has it in stock, I make an exception. I called ahead of time to make sure the phone I wanted was available and the woman I spoke to confirmed this. I step into the store and was greeted by Shawn. I told him I was there for the new iPhone and told him which size I wanted. He immediately replied "we don't carry it". I let him know that I called beforehand and made sure they carried it. He went back into the back and came out with the phone. Shawn did the old bait and switch attempt to get me to purchase the Verizon "insurance" to which I replied no that I was all set. I never get their insurance and always use apple care. He let me know if have to buy "a whole new phone if something happened- which is $1,400!!!!" Sir I've been an iPhone user since 2010 and never have I had to buy and entire new phone. Several screen replacements at apple for under $200- yes. Nice try. He then tried to "shock" me into buying their screen protectors and phone cases which were double the price than on amazon. I politely told him no thank you that I will order them on amazon. My one year old son was getting antsy at this point and was grabbing everything in sight. He condescendingly with his toughest glare again asked me if I was SURE I didn't want the insurance or phone case/screen protectors. Verizon- what kind of sales tactics are you teaching your sales associates? Shawn then continued to tell his co worker next to him that he "wasn't an apple guy" and told me the new phone I was purchasing wasn't really an upgrade to my old iPhone. Terrible ... awful experience. This store is staffed by 20-something year old college drop outs who clearly don't care about customers. It's super busy ... always ... so there is always an awkward line and they seem to only want to help people that are ready to cash out vs. those who have actual questions. They are always trying to upsell you into a different plan which includes more stuff you don't use. They also really push overpriced cases, screen protectors, etc. on you. They try to scare you by saying it will void the phone's warranty if you buy the same exact case on Amazon for $20 that they are selling for $40. The woman I bought my phone from told me that I needed to buy $80 in accessories (case and plastic screen protector) which would have cost $40 on Amazon or Ebay. Second, all the phones you buy at the Verizon store contain TONS of unnecessary bloatwear which slow down the phone and take up memory. Apps you will never use like NFL live, IMDB, etc. are placed on the phone and cannot be removed. Verizon also insists you use its confusing messaging app which will import all of your email, etc. contacts into your phone so trying to text someone brings up everyone you ever sent an email to. Buying an unlocked phone from another dealer is usually cheaper and less frustrating but this store won't help you transfer your service unless you buy it there. Once I actually bought a $900 phone, it was almost closing time. Nobody would help me actually get my contacts, etc. transferred over. I asked and they gave me a sheet and said, 'this is how you do it.' and walked away. Turns out the sheet required you to be able to do something my old phone wasn't capable of. When I showed them, they pretty much escorted me to the door and grabbed my new phone, turned it on and said, 'You'll have to go online and figure it out'. Absolutely no customer service at all ... and this is after spending almost $1,000 there! My advice would be to go to an authorized Verizon dealer vs. an actual Verizon store. Verison stores like this hire heavily tattooed dropouts. I bought my last phone at an authorized Verizon dealer in Auburn, MA and they literally sat down with me and updated my contacts, helped me sign into my email accounts and import my contact list. They even gave me a card to call for follow up. The actual Verizon store wouldn't even spend a minute or two to help me with the phone I just bought. This place just plain sucks. Busy, crowded, employees who don't care or don't know and everything is a shell game with the upsells and overpricing. If I could give 0 stars, I would. read more

My sister needed a new phone to replace her extremely old Galaxy. I finally convinced her to get an iPhone 12 Pro cause she'll probably have it now til she dies and her pictures will be great and I can FaceTime her from across the US. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. When we finally had help, he stayed with my sister for 3 hours and moved all the stuff he could off her phone, found her google photos, basically helped a 60+ old woman move into 2021 with a little less pain. The staff was very helpful to me in-store, I used the phone sales team and did an in-store pick up and they were still helpful to me. My issue was that the SIM cards were not working and the phone rep didn't fully process my order, so the in-store team worked collaboratively and solved my issue. Hahaha dude omg I can't believe I am going to review the most monopolized wireless service provider in the world... Verizon. WEll It wouldnt be fair to reflect upon the employees or structure of this one location as a representation of the Verizon company as a whole would it? Well not if the employees didn't HEAVILY push add on service and products at you... offer you service you simply do not need and be flustered and standoff-ish when you respectfully decline these services. I actually stopped in RIGHT before going on an international vacation, ironically not even for my phone, but for my Boyfriend's before we boarded a flight for Spain. We simply wanted to buy a memory card for his phone and a set of nice headphones for the ride. Upon entering a sales person (who must have been competing for record sales of the month) hawk eye targeted us and swooped in. He asked what we needed and as he was getting the memory card from out back, i GLANCED at a sparkly phone case... and he basically did not let me leave the store without dropping the $80 on the useless, function-less case that you could see form outer space. We were in a rush and i had pre-travel cash on me so I let it go. As we are telling him we are in a HUGE rush - he goes on to look up my account, and tries to sell me on more data and another device! Saying I had more than enough credit to get one - I could even get an Ipad for free - thats great dude but I am not interested nor do I have the time. He gets all huffy and pushes though the order- dumping the $300 beats headphones in a plastic bag on the counter, slapping down a receipt and walking away as we were explaining we weren't kidding to get out of the sale - we HAD to be on a plane in 3 hrs. So we leave and before we even get 5 mins down the road - i get a phone call from HIM!! He said he took another look at my account and wanted to save me money. I was so shockd he even called after i spent over $400 on retail merchandise in the store... - I was like " Yeah that sounds great can we revisit this when I return? I really don't have time" He apologized and said he'd send me something in the mail. I get home from my trip and suddenly my data plan has doubled - oh and didn't count toward any of the time I was overseas so I got charged astronomical rates for international access and data usage - on top of the upgraded service that actually saved me a total of $3.00 per line per month. The queues in here go incredibly slowly due to disorganization and general indifference of the workers. The last time I was in here, I put my name in the queue where I was eighth, waited for a half hour and then left to eat dinner at Moe's. 45 minutes later, I decided to go back and check on the off chance my name was still on the list. This store runs hot and cold each time I am forced to go. It all depends on who's the manager of the month. I would love to find another one in the area but I swear all the stores are like this. The turn over in employees are staggering. I don't think I have ever gone in there and saw the same people twice. One experience I had that makes me think this is when I drowned my phone in a puddle and I went down to get another one, the manager told me that I had to pay 200 bucks for my phone. My jaw fell to the floor as I was so near my anniversary date. I called Verizon proper and they told me to go right back down and they will call them personally and let them know to give me my money back on the phone I had to "buy". I got all my money back except for the early transfer fee for $20 and that was just fine with me...I didn't go back to that store until I knew that manager was gone. Verizon told me on the phone that they were having "problems" with that store on this exact matter with other customers. I actually drowned my phone again (water issues...), went back again recently and they never had a problem with me doing yet again an early transfer. I only had to pay $20 and I got my new one 1 month early of my anniversary date. So...will I go back? yes. Will I trust them to do the right thing when I drown another phone? That has yet to be seen as I have no idea the mood of the next manager. If they were consistent, I would give them 4 stars. read more

what a lousy company, my bill went from $35 to almost $80 and when I called to ask why I got a really callous response that they had sent me emails which I should have responded to in order to continue my lower rate. Granted it was my fault for not reading the ton of email I normally get in my personal account but I hate their condescending attitude. We sent you the emails, you did not read it, your fault!!! Verizon, if you read this your customer service sucks and so does your attitude, I will use your service until I find a cheaper one and then dump you in a second. They told me my phone was under warranty, and would cost nothing to replace, and advised me not to use my phone insurance. They processed the return. A week later I was charged $300 because my phone was not under warranty. I went back to resolve this, and they did not want to deal with it. After 3 hours, the manager said she would look into it. The charge was never removed, nor would they convert it to my insurance. The only thing the manager Nadine did do was to try to sell me a discontinued phone. read more

My I-phone (which was a replacement from an earlier defective i-phone) broke when the go button stopped working. The simpleton young woman broke the phone when she pulled the Mophie off and said "well that doesn't really matter since the phone is already busted" sent me to Apple to have the phone replaced. Very poor. On hold for 28 minutes according to my droid. Hung up called back and demanded that they not put me on hold, just needed a tracking number for a delivery of my new iphone 5. It took the guy just a couple minutes to track it down. My question is why do they put people on hold and never pick up the phone again. Another waste of time by Verizon. This place has never given me any problems. I might not have seen the same people twice but thats because I only come in every 12 months. The service remains straight forward. The wait varies but that is to be expected considering there is always a rush hour (like before or after people's usual working hours, and during lunch). Shrewsbury store is very helpful and no pressure to sell you. They helped me by examining my phone and told me I did not need cleaners or flashlights. Flash light is built in, And phones clean themselves. By deleting them your battery will last a lot longer between charges. read more

So long Verizon and so long Shrewsbury Verizon store! My wife and I were headed from North Attleboro to Shrewsbury to pick up a couple new Galaxy S8 Edges and accessories. We always drive the extra 40+ miles to get great assistance from Kalli Hess whenever we need phones, tablets, accessories, or to upgrade our plans. I've found most sales staff at most Verizon stores to be condescending, rude and pushy. Kalli had always been genuinely interested in helping her customers, and we have sent many others to see her. But, when I called the store to make an appointment, I was told that she was not there, and wouldn't be back. I asked to speak to someone in management to find out what happened. They wouldn't say and seemed not to care that she was gone. So, we headed to a nearby store, and guess what? Pushy, pushy, pushy! No sale! So sorry that Verizon has lost a WONDERFUL employee, who provided excellent personal customer service. Their inability to recognize those rare qualities in a staff member has cost them the business of a lifetime Verizon customer and a Verizon cheerleader. Had such an amazing experience today. Kyle our salesmen was knowledgable, positive friendly and on point in every way. We had a million questions which he had no problem answering without hesitation. We were not disappointed in any way. We walked out with two new iPhones and an iPhone mini with triple the amount of data we had before all for about the same price we were already paying for two separate accounts. We set him in the back to search for almost a dozen cases and he never once made us feel like we were asking to much of him and never made us feel rushed even though there was a dozen different customers behind him. Bought a new HTC droid incredible 2 on Tuesday. Had it for 1/2 hour and had problems. Called the store and tech support. Couldn't fix it. Told to get a new one. Given a new one. Had it for 2 hours and same problem appeared. Went to store and asked if could get a different type of phone completely. Told only if paid $35 re-stocking fee. I have spent 4 hours on this problem. Told come back to store if problem occurs again. Basically Verizon is telling me you to go back daily to get the same problem fixed over and over again. Worst service I have ever received and I have been a loyal customer for 15 years and referred people from other phone companies to them. Never again. read more

I have no phone, I purchased a smart phone in Auburn from Verizon, bought all the accessories a month a ago, its in pristine condition, no one scratch... so I am unable to charge evidentally the port ( that charges in is damaged? I cant fathom why... so I went to the store, ( mind you I have a warranty I pay for 10.00 month and they said in order to replace my phone I would have to pay 100.00 are you F*ken kidding? then I also have a warranty through Verizon they said they could replace my brand new phone with a used one. After work the battle begins. Forgot to mention I went to the Verizon store in Shrewsbury and the manager Steve was a tool, he said this phone is not something we carry or service, ARE you kidding me,....
