I lived in an RV and had great service in Florida but moved to Wyoming for a summer. Things started to go downhill from there. I moved back to Florida and couldn't get decent signals anymore. Then the hurricane hit and things were terrible. I tried for 6 months with different techs but every weekend my internet would go out and no techs work on the weekend. All they ever did was reset and finally changed me to ATT. It was worse. I gave up and went with another internet service. Fastest service I had is when I cancelled my service with them and they sent an email telling me to send all the equipment back with in minutes. I tried to use them. Could not get a decent speed it was 1/10 of xfintiy. Very slow help. Tried switching towers T-mobile to AT&T still very slow also expensive. Returned all hardware they said I was missing things. They say they will givr me s refund less $25 shipping and less $49.90 headhunter fee. We signed up for internet service in mid to late June. We were happy with the service provided, but unfortunately they ended our plan shy of 5 months later. The only option they offered us was a discounted upgrade plan that was still way too costly. I told them I wished to end our service and would like a refund of our $200 startup fee ($175 for equipment and $25 shipping) as it was ridiculous to charge that much to get started and then end our plan after less than 5 mo. Since we were outside the trial period I was told that would not be an option. The first email I received from them about our service plan ending, they stated that they had tried to contact me multiple times and my service would be terminated in less than two weeks. I checked all my inboxes and had nothing from them. I called and got little help from the service rep and asked to have an manger call me. Nothing back. A few days past and they emailed me again to say my service would be ending and I needed to choose the upgraded service or to terminate. I emailed them back and got a service tech who didn't answer any of my specific questions. I still have not talked to a manager. It took a week for them to finally send me instructions on how/where to return equipment. And they said I am responsible for the cost of shipping their equipment back. They may have a decent internet service, but their lack of customer service is astounding. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will screw you for everything they can. Update to add that they did in fact provide a prepaid shipping label after much discussion on the topic. But I still have yet to hear from a manager and I'm still trying to get (as they called it) a "courtesy refund" of an unknown amount. read more

I am attempting to use the Cyberonic Internet service for some months now as I live in a rural area. Where I live, Cyberonics uses ATT towers. I left ATT, using their home hotspot (very excellent internet connections!), because sometimes I may use over the 100 GB limit ATT offered. Paying another $100.00 for an extra 40GB is not fun. ATT does not offer that plan at this time. My neighbor said she uses Cyberonic and loves it! So, I sigend up. Easy, right? No. Cyberonic modems are lousy and the pole outdoor antenna they supplied did not have the correct attachments! Almost on a daily basis, I must unplug and replug the modem so that my electronics can access the internet. Without warning, the computer, phone, or smart T.V., will lose internet connection, even though the modem lights indicate there is internet of at least two bars through 4 bars. I have to drop out of two online classes now because of losing internet often; and then I must spend an hour or so unplugging, replugging the modem, and hoping the internet is restored! Cyberonic owes me money for wasting time and nothing to show for this aggravation and nonuse. DO your homework on rual internet services before you make the mistake I am going through now. read more

With TMobile, Verizon and ATT starting to offer LTE internet packages directly, and Starlink soon to be available, Cyberonic's days are numbered. They're ultimately reselling TMobile or ATT data plans. TMobile has a 90GB "soft cap"; after you use 90GB in a month, you _will_ be throttled during periods of data congestion. For the first 9 months or so of service, we mostly got workable speeds (i.e. 5Mbs down). After the pandemic hit and everybody started working from home, we'd get throttled increasingly often. Mid August our connection really went south, and most days we'd be around 1Mbps, with protracted outages on a daily basis. Cyberonic have refused to engage on this -- there's nothing that they can really do, as they don't have direct control of the network. If TMobile says it's fine, to them "it's fine". They have one good tech support person - AJ - genuinely nice guy, knowledgeable, and helpful. The rest of the support team just go from scripts ("have you restarted? what's the strength of the signal? tmobile say it's fine / looks like there's congestion in your area"). read more

We had this service for at least 3 months. It was purchased and set up in the RV for future use. We did our very first three week trip and the service was very body had to call them to do resets multiple times. Return the equipment at my own cost and they're trying to charge me for unreturned equipment. Don't buy this service. read more

This company falsely advertises their service as not having a data cap, yet they want to disconnect someone their system identifies as a "heavy user" under the claim of concern of their upstream provider. Comparable services offer a minimum data cap of 1TB/month - more than I use on a month-to-month basis. And also more than this company is accusing me of using. They want me to call them and discuss alternatvies, but if they are going to falsely advertise their service I am not sure I want to work with them further. I'm not paying them $100/month for 30gb per month. I highly recommend you avoid this company and find one that better deserves your money. read more

I've been a customer for a while and doing this time I've had to change my card because of my bank & I called them and let them know I had a new card to please add it and do away with the old card. But they continue to cut my internet off and want to charge me for reconnect charges. And to make things worst they wanted me to add another account because they say that there had been complaints for the tower that I used. My internet cost $100 plus a month and supposed to be UNLIMITED but now they're saying because of my daughter usage because of the coronavirus and now she have school work at home. Cyberonic lies about throttling. Worst internet I have ever had. When I complained about my .12mbps download speed (thats not a typo) they told me "each tower is allotted a certain amount of data a month, which all the subscribers to that tower share. Near the end of the month as the data runs low, subscribers who used the most get slower service". When I pointed out they sell the service with a "No Throttling Guarantee" the service rep told me "that's not throttling". Well, my response to that: You are liars and crooked. I cant choose ZERO stars or I WOULD!!!!! I have called this company at least 4 times, if not more since March 1 of this year. The internet has been extremely spotting and slow. My job is a work from home position where my internet must be stable. When we first got the service we had problems. Kept calling to get them fixed, ended up getting a service charge to return their outdated equipment. Things were ok for a while but now worse than ever. I can never get a manager after asking for one REPEATEDLY. I NEVER GET CALLED BACK when promised. And advised my only option is to upgrade because I use too much data, RIGHT AFTER being told there is no date crap. I live in a very rural area so getting internet service is not easy. Ive been with them long enough to see some improvements. I've had on and off service but overall it works for me. My biggest problem is service after the sale. When they send you updated equipment they make you responsible for sending back the old outdated equipment. I'm paying $160 a month for so called unlimited service but my bill says 60mb. I understand why they have so much negative feedback. read more

We have been using Cyberonic Internet over a few months now. I will have to admit that this is the worst company and internet that we have ever had. 1Mbps some times when it works. We called their so called customer service which is absolutely useless, they said they had to check a few things and they would call us back, and the call never came. I have called them again several times and there is always a different excuse. The internet just completely quits working often and they always blame it on the tower or bottle neck but yet the modem still shows signal. We pay $140.00 a month and are getting completely ripped off and the internet is horrible and I use my own data which is better than their internet. Worst service ever. i live in a rural area, which I assume is the customer base. They keep PROMISING to send out UPS but then send USPS. Different addresses, which I have explained multiple times. UPS has sent back three different chips now and can't understand that I do not "have a mail problem". Not sure this is even a US worker but language certainly seems to be a barrier. There are only poor internet options in this area. I work with a hospital full of people who would pay these high rates for reliable internet service in this remote location. And to top it all off, they refuse to allow me to even speak to a supervisor. I yelled this morning and I never yell. WTF guys. Bad Service, Misrepresentation. They sell an unlimited service, do not believe it. I called because service was not working, they said I used too much. I asked when I bought it if there was any cap and was told no. I work online and need unlimited and was assured this was the service which could provide it. The service has become very lack luster. Ill be replacing them soon. Everything will start out fine but every couple of months they have to send you a new sim card. And when it goes out because they have an issue they will ghost you. Not sending replacement cards overnight even if service has been out for days. It seems as though they have gotten big enough they are not concerned about the people anymore. Then you have to call and get them to prorate your bill, they won't automatically do it. Horrible internet service. We live in a rural area and they were our only option for internet. Worst mistake! We tried every modem, antenna and magic box they had available. It would work for a week and then continuously dropped us. When we called in for service they blamed it on congestion. Finally, Verizon offered the unlimited plan with hotspot allowance so we switched to Verizon and just used our hotspot. Verizon was the best decision ever! read more

Worst Internet Provider I have ever encountered. Service is super slow, customer service is a joke, if you call to report a problem or complain an hour or so later your internet goes down for 24 hours, in one year with them this happened 4 times. The billing is a joke, they sign you up to a 6 month contract, but don't tell you that upfront, just when you go to cancel they tell you about the cancellation fee and the 6 months. When you ask for the signed contract because you know you didn't sign anything like this, they email you a fake contract, but the CSR forgot to change the fake date so it was the current date. Worst experience I've ever had. Billing for "free trial" started before I even got equipment set up. Sent used, faulty equipment then when I finally got a router that worked I requested that my "free trial" not start until the day I was able to start using the service. Customer service was rude and not helpful. Equipment wouldn't work with antennae sent to me needed to order expensive roof-top antennae not included. After 3.5 weeks finally packed everything up and returned it. Not optimistic I'll be refunded the set-up fee or the month I was billed when I had no equipment or no service. I havew had cyberonics off and on for the past 4 years. When it works it works great especailly living in a rural area. When you have a problem you have a big problem. Some of the worst customer service you will experience. You may go go several days without service.due to it taking that long to speak with someone. Example I've been without service since the evening of 12/16. It is now 12/18/16 and still without service. If there's a negative rating, I would have given -100! We have been with Cyberonic for many years and the service has been ok, but not great. During the last few months, their services have really gone downhill! Beginning from the last week of July and still going on, my internet has been on and off, slower than dial-up and sometimes no service at all. And they have the nerve to email us that we will get a credit for the downtime in about 60 days! And also the credit was not even half of the monthly payment we paid! Why should anyone pay for any services that you cannot use! So far, they have sent us three modems, three air cards and none of them work properly. All of them were old equipment and one of the air card they sent was from Cingular, which used to be AT & T many many years ago! How can you get any good services if all they send you are ancient equipment? They billed us the monthly payment last month. We disputed the payment with our credit card company and got a credit from the card company. I would suggest all those who are affected and being charged for months that have no or bad services, do the same. Dispute the payment with your bank or credit card company! And talk about customer/tech services. Unless you have unlimited talk plan with your phone carrier, you'll be paying a huge phone bill because of the lengthy hold time whenever you call them. If you leave a voice mail, you'll never get a call back, period! The only positive thing I can say about Cybeornic is their Tech support (when you are able to get hold of them on the phone). I live on a private road and have no access to Broadband services. Decided to go with cyberonic because of the advertised unlimited data plan with high speeds, ability to connect multiple devices, video streaming and gaming....all lies! Speed tests were consistently between .45 and .75 mbps with one device connected. It would take 5 hours to watch a 1 1/2 hour movie due to constant interruptions. The equipment was a joke. If I walked by it, it would shut down and restart. Over a month ago we lost service. They said they were changing over from sprint to at&t and Verizon to provide their customers better service. We would NOT be charged for the outage period and all pricing and terms of service would remain the same when service returned. We just got our service back a week ago and it was worse than before. They DID bill us for the outage and the icing on the cake was an email today saying I was close to my data limit and overage charges will apply. I called and said I want a refund for the month I had no service and I was canceling because they lied about the terms remaining the same and never disclosed that my unlimited data would now be limited to 10g for $130 dollars a month and they said they will not refund anything until I return the equipment at my expense. If you ever have a problem with this company, they will not resolve it, they will simply cut off your service and not return your money. Then they will call you back and pretend to be someone else when its really the same person you spoke with previously. They will call you a liar and twist your words. They even went so far as to tell us that the BBB had instructed them to disconnect our service. Once we contacted the BBB, their response was that they would never inform a business to do this. If you have ANY OTHER option for your internet provider, you would be well advised to stay away from this company. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I agree with most of the other posts as to misleading information and poor service. I have had their service for less than 3 weeks with two outages and then for past 3 days the connection has been throttled where it is not usable. I previously used Unlimitedville which was very expensive but it worked as advertised. When I signed up for the service I was told it was unlimited but could get prioritized which is totally different than throttling. Each time I called support I was told it was a connection issue even though I had no issue connecting to Verizon with my iPhone or mifi. Support guy promised to call back today with an update but never called. I called to cancel service and asked him why he did not call back and was told that it was on his list. I'm fairly certain they shipped me a used device and sim card which had already had usage recorded since it showed up in the web interface. Verizon has a new unlimited post paid hotspot plan which I am now using which is only $70 per month. If you need Ethernet connections all you have to do is spend around $40 for a TP Link Nano Router which takes less than 15 minutes to setup. read more

You're better off just using your cell phone as your ISP than using Cyberonics. I had them for a whopping 7 weeks and sincerely regret having gotten rid of my notoriously slow satellite internet service for Cyberonics to give you some idea of just how terrible they really are. First the "equipment fee" they have listed on their site isn't an equipment fee, its a programming fee, though they lead you to believe you're purchasing the equipment, you apparently are just borrowing it, they charge you $250 to program their used equipment. I never got the service agreement they supposedly emailed me, I told them on the phone I never got it, they supposedly sent it again, but I still never got it. I got an agreement in the equipment I received, but they had already billed me by then, so much for their claim of 10 days free trail. After 7 weeks my connection mysteriously vanished. I got nondescript form emails from them for the following 3 weeks, while I had NO internet connection claiming it WASN'T their fault, they were doing their best to fix the issue.... Come again? If a company fails to deliver a product that has been paid for it is their fault, period. Mid way through week 4 of no service I was billed my monthly $120 for service. That was my limit on patience. I had to call repeatedly, as their very busy phone lines most of the time simply tell you they are too busy, call back later and hang up on you, if you're lucky enough to be able to leave a message they will not ever return your call, I waited 2 days for a return call after leaving a message and emailing repeatedly without a response before I finally spent the better part of 4 hours trying to get through to a human. When I finally did get through I was told I was on a list of people they would be calling to let know they couldn't offer the service I had purchased anymore. I said I was unwilling to pay $150 a month for 10g's of service, and I wanted to cancel, they said I would receive a call to process the cancellation, but again no one from Cyberonics called and I had to initiate it myself. When I was discussing the cancellation with the billing department they told me I would receive the $250 equipment fees back as well as the fees for undelivered service once they received the equipment back in their office, shipped at my expense. I shipped the equipment back in good faith, when they received it the only refunded the undelivered services, and now claim they never agreed to refund the other portion though no one in their right mind would have agreed to pay $250 extra for just 7 weeks of service. Ultimately I wound up paying a total of $470 for 7 weeks of internet service, and they are entirely unrepentant for either the hassle they created or the damages inured to my education and our family business, and they are unwilling to honor their word. You all work hard for your money, do not give it to this company, they will make you jump through hoops for unsalted peanuts.... even circus monkeys get treated better than these clowns will treat you. read more

I am making this update because I feel like the customer service has been improved. I have to say it could only be relative to the issues, but the last few times I have needed to call in for some form of support have been answered within 3-4 minutes. While the issues may not be resolved, I feel as though Cyberonic is certainly attempting to get my service in order. My current issue is purely based on AT&T's ending of their contract with Cyberonic and I am having to use a different carrier. Cyberonic has been great through this...they have sent devices to me at better than expected speeds (getting packages in 2-4 days). I will say I see Steven M also had Cyberonic bill him before the trial was over...that happened to me and I was fairly upset. Cyberonic reimbursed me by not charging me the next cycle. All in all, I still give the service a great rating and the customer service is apparently doing better. If you need mobile broadband and more than the few gigs you get with many plans, then Cyberonic will probably be a good choice for you. read more

How does this company stay in business? A dear friend just got so screwed by this company called Cyberonic Internet Communications out of Worcester Ma. They use multiple different company names to sell their services so you don't know who you're dealing with until it's too late (EVDO, Yellow Jacket, Broadband Q). They promise a 10 day free trial but bill you right away $400. + dollars and don't deliver then you can't get your money back. She's one of hundreds of people this has happened to. There is even a private Facebook group dedicated to commiserating about them and helping other victims. I am so beyond angry with them especially after I read about people on social security that they had scammed. For people that file complaints with other agencies they settle with them but make them sign something saying they will remove all negative posts from the internet. She refused to sign this. This is the worst company I have ever worked with. They are cutting my service off saying the BBB told them to cancel it. It's funny this notice came just a few days after I told them via email that I would not retract my complaint due to the fact that the internet was still slow, they claim it is unlimited data which is misleading. And the new equipment was worse than the first. On top of that, I was paying them more than going directly through the provider which I did not know I could do until after calling the provider. The initial reason for my complaint was that the equipment stopped working. First they told me T mobile cut me off because of my data usage and they had no control over that. Then after speaking with a manager and tech support, I found out T mobile does not cut the internet off they slow it down. We figured out the equipment needed to be replaced. Getting to that point was like pulling teeth. The new equipment was worse than what we had before and did not cover as big of a range and at that point the internet was still at a snail's pace. read more

If you are looking for reliable internet, THIS IS NOT THE ONE.They have no moral or ethics. They send out used equipment, they only have one person in technical support who knows what he is doing, the rest of the people "haven't been trained in wireless". I had 4 sets of equipment sent to me and only one worked for a few weeks and then went out. Even without having working equipment, they were sure to bill me. I was billed for my second month, before my 10 day trial was over. I had to cancel my debit card so they couldn't take any more money out. No one would tell me who owned the company or who I could talk with to get the situation settled. It is still not settled. out $690.24 for 3 months of crap, including the last 3 weeks with no internet. The supervisor Tony lied and told me he called Sprint and they said they could not get me a signal. If they can't get me a signal, why do they feel they need to keep my money?
