I'be been a Verizon customer for about 14 years. We used to have good service at my home which is not rural. Then about 1.5 to 2 years ago that changed. Now the service is bad causing me to use FaceTime over my WiFi to even have a conversation with callers. I only have 2 phones on the service. Also making payments on those phones and my monthly bill was $171.00. 3 months ago my bill jumped to $225.00. I called customer service and they told me there were some programs that expired. One of those programs I understood and reupped brining my bill down to $200. I called customer service and asked why my bill was still so high. I got the same answer that some programs expired. I asked what programs. The employee said they did not know but the programs expired. Verizon if this BS is how you run a business good luck on your future. I was quoted $100 a month from another reputable company for 2 phone lines. read more

I came to Verizon for the newest AirPod pros. I had my dog in the car with the air conditioner going and windows cracked. I went in quickly to ask if the AirPod pros were in stock and if I could bring my dog in. When I went back to my car my keys and dog were locked inside. It was warm out. I worked on getting my app to open the car. AAA was over an hour away to open the car. The manager and an employee went out of the way to help me. One went to a near by auto part store and the other had some tools in their truck. I wanted to express my thanks for going above and above helping me out. 10/12/2018: I bought an iPhone 7 Plus waterproof, black/clear cellphone case due to the previous Otterbox case developed a hole via the "Home" button; I'm satisfied with the product but, I'm absolutely dissatisfied, no~mortified with the Verizon Placerville Employees poking fun at Nathan, a fellow Verizon Employee who works across the street from the Folsom CA's Palladio. I have been to this store twice. Twice I have left wondering how this business could possibly remain viable. So I searched for a Verizon company store rather than a franchise so I could actually get some help. After that search I was in disbelief that this store is the company store in the area. An absolutely worthless place to go. Twice I was given excuses on why they can't help me. Today, with no other customer in the store, 6 employees were sitting around looking like they were intense gamers with no time to do their jobs. I was told to take care of my issue online but if I needed a phone to come back and see them. That was the store manager talking to me. My husband and I wanted to upgrade our phones. We've been with AT&T for many years and then switched over for Sprint for a couple years. Good and bad experiences from both carriers. We've always heard great things about Verizon but we weren't too fond of hearing how much some people were paying. We kept seeing Verizon commercials with special deals and we also had friends that kept talking about how much they love Verizon. We gave in and decided to let's go check it out. One of my husband's friend & a co worker referred us over to this location. Of course I had to review this location on yelp and I was surprise to low ratings but we were told they had the best service here. We decided to give it chance and came on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted by the Verizon associates. We were provided with great information, the staff was knowledgeable, professional and very helpful, One that stood out was Cindy. She took her time to help us out. My husband and I love what Verizon has to offer so we switched over!! To my Surprise our monthly was a little cheaper than sprint! We love our iphone11pros and the service is truly the best!! Now I wished we would've had switched over much sooner!! lol. Another bad review for Verizon. I'm taking the time to write this but I'm sure no one will care. The 2 gentleman that helped me today certainly didn't. I purchased an iPhone SE 2 years ago and it suddenly stopped working on data. They told me I was being "deprioritized" because I was on a prepaid plan and that if I wanted better service I should upgrade and double the cost of my monthly bill. Guess what, when I bought the phone they suggested I get on the prepaid plan so what is it? They gave me a separate number for the "prepaid" customers because they don't handle that anymore or don't want to. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. My family has been a Verizon customer for over 20 years. I visited this store to upgrade my daughters Gizmo watch. The gentleman was very helpful but told me that I needed to activate the phone. I left and got in my car, sitting in the parking lot so my daughter could call her dad once I activated it. I got multiple error messages saying that I needed to call an 800 number or go into the nearest store. I went in where they told me the man who sold it to me should have activated it and proceeded to do so. Once activated, it showed a new number with a different area code. I told them it should have the same number since it was an upgrade. They told me they couldn't help me and I needed to call the 800 number. The manager wouldn't help either. Upon calling the number, I was told that this was a corporate store and they should have been able to help. In addition, they also charged me the setup fee for totally screwing everything up. The Verizon across town helped with my issue and came to my rescue as well. I will only visit that store from now on. My first clue should have been the excuse of being short staffed, but being exceptionally rude to their customers. This Verizon is the worst! read more

Service in this area and at this store could not be worse. After more than a week of random losses of internet (4G LTE home internet) AND cell service most starting while we were asleep at our home on the edge of the Caldor burn area with no prior notice or explanation, and two useless hour-long attempts to get information by phone, we finally visited the store for some help. On the first visit they called customer support while we were there and submitted a ticket. When we didn't get any further feedback during the supposed '72 hour window' in which tech support is supposed to respond, I again visited the store. The first guy told me the order was never submitted (not true, I got texted about the order). When I asked him to give me a refund for all the downtime, he brought his manager over. She told me they couldn't access any info in the store, nor could they issue a refund. She told me to waste many more hours not getting help on the phone (not her exact words). The only thing I did like about this useless location was that they had a 'masks required' sign on the door. And the only person I saw inside the store not wearing a mask was the MANAGER! read more

I was unfortunately witness to one of the VERY worst "Customer Service" experiences in my 74 years today. I spent almost 20 years as CEO of multiple companies that EXCELLED in C.S., and the Verizon "Store Manager," Fernando, would have been given his walking papers at the end of his shift today by me. If you were to look up the defnition of "An AMAZINGLY poor loser of a "store manager," he would be pictured. My wife was given erroneous information by Verizon's on-line folks last night, but then told she could go into the "local store," and it would clear everything up for her, and get her back on track in about 10 minutes. We stopped in to get the problem dealt with today, and enter, Fernando. Fernando is a mysogynist pig. He spent 15 minutes in an EXTREMELY condescending tone, explaining to my wife (I was quietly sitting in the back of the store watching my dog and listening, just waiting for her to go off on this dunce -- which to her immense credit, she did not!), that she was "not listening to him," and that she needed to CAREFULLY listen to him as he "needed to 'manage her expectations' for her." ARE YOU SH..... ME??? Fernando: You need to call HQ IMMEDIATELY, and get signed up for REMEDIAL "Customer Service School." You kinda' sort of got it backwards here Bucko, but maybe they do not teach this in the eighth grade any more: YOUR CUSTOMERS PAY YOUR SALARY, and from I heard today, you will not be getting one very much longer. Rule Number One of Customer Service: The Customer is ALWAYS right, even when the customer is being an A..H..., which my wife certainly was NOT, because I sat there and listened to you: raise you voice to her; intimate she had no idea what she was talking about; refuse to listen to her, tell her IMMEDIATELY why you could NOT help her (BIG HINT HERE Fernando; your first responsibilty in customer service LAND it to tell your customer, WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THEM; NOT WHAT YOU CANNOT DO FOR THEM.), talk over her when she tried to ask you questions, etc. Rule Number Two: Please refer to Rule Number One. It finally got so bad, my wife had to tell Fernando, "You need to go away." He refused to allow her to speak with the other representative, kept coming back at her, continuing his obtuse and EXTREMELY rude behavior until she gave up, and said, "Thnak You," and we left the store. Then he came over to ME (I guess to explain things to the man of the house); I really do not know why) to explain himself. I was sitting in the corner watching my dog because: I do NOT have a phone. I do NOT want a phone. I couldn't CARE LESS about a phone; and if I ever decided to buy one, I would surely NEVER buy it from you idiots. I would LOVE it if Fernando's District Manager read this, but unfortunately, all Fernando could tell us was his "Distric Manager is 'Mike'." Mike who? He doesn't know. Wow, terrible experience today. I upgraded my phone online and went to pick it up at this store. I realize we have covid but I saw other people inside the store getting help or shopping and I had a mask on no problem. An asian sales guy came outside with a bag containing my phone. I asked if I could come in or have him help with synching my new phone, transferring contacts etc. like I have had help with EVERY SINGLE TIME at other Verizon stores but he insisted that I go to gmail and that it would somehow magically synch my contacts and info. I have been trying to transfer my contacts now for hours with no luck and have no idea what I am doing even after viewing Verizon videos and whatever gmail is supposed to do. This past July we switched to Verizon. It was good up until last week when our service was disconnected. At that point we called 611 to see what was going on. They cannot verify our account because it was setup with the wrong house number, wrong email (incorrectly spelled). So we never received any bills or correspondence. You would think this is an easy fix, right? Nope!! I have called everyday, filling out the correction form and waiting for an approval email. A total of 15 times! I have a thread of emails, Verizon just doesn't even respond any longer. It has been over a week, we had to pay a bill sight unseen. Our next bill is due and we haven't seen this one either. At this point, I reached out to the Business Account rep Roger and left a detailed message. If this doesn't get fixed we want a full refund. I will happily go to another provider. No manager in the store. rep was very rude and when I told her she needed to help and I wasn't leaving she pretended to get me a phone deal and keep me there while she called the cops to remove me. This is our go-to location when we need new phones or any help with our devices. The staff is always so welcoming and helpful. I recently went in for a much-needed upgrade. The guy who helped me (I'm sorry I forgot his name) greeted me at the door and helped me choose between my top two choices. He then helped me pick out a case and other accessories at the best prices. I also wanted to make sure that everything from my old phone got transferred over to the new one correctly, so he sat there and helped me port it over. I was in and out within the hour. I have gone to other locations before and been there for 2+ hours and had multiple issues with the data transfer. This is the best place to go for any of your Verizon needs. read more

Said We could sit in our truck, which was parked right in front of the store, and they would come get us. We sat there for 20 minutes while they let 5 individuals in at a time. He took over 45 minutes to do a simple return and exchange with one person. He ignored me and only called out that it would be awhile and that yes he had the phone I needed. When I asked him to pull his mask up over his nose he was very rude and condescending . When it was finally my turn he refused to sell me a phone unless I did the payment plan. Had there been signage, had he told me upfront when I was waiting, or had he not been very rude and condescending there would have been no problem. I was greeted outside, given a place in line, and waited until they phoned me. We're in our seventies and how refreshing to have Tyler helping us, knowledgeable on product, polite and long on patience. I went to upgrade my phone. I got the phone I wanted with a screen protector. The sales rep said she could put it on and was finishing it when she crack the screen protector. Then she told me that she couldn't replace it even though she is the one that broke it. NOT SURE WHICH STORE IS WORSE: PLACERVILLE, OR PLEASANT HILL On the last day of our trip to Tahoe over Fourth of July for a friend's destination wedding, my phone was full of amazing pictures. The SD card had recently filled up and I removed all the pictures and deleted them, but my camera was still set to save to internal phone memory and I couldn't find the setting to change this. No big deal, right? WRONG. My phone experienced Sudden Death Screen, and the motherboard is gone. My husband was able to figure all of this out on google, no thanks to the employees of this Verizon. I panicked when I couldn't turn on my phone so we made an appointment while driving home from Tahoe to stop at Verizon in Placerville. Unfortunately, I "made" the appointment but didn't hit "save" :) (I'm not very mobile savvy) so when we arrived we had a several person wait in front of us. We waited very patiently. The reps at Verizon that we'd spoken with on the phone during the drive said perhaps the battery had failed, or the battery indicator, telling the phone that it had charge. So when we told the store employee this, she literally handed me a new battery and plug. I swapped out the old one but nothing happened. When that didn't work, she gave me back the phone and was done. Um, wtf. My phone doesn't work and we just waited a long time. Please try something else. She was no help and didn't try to figure out if the pictures could be saved. So, we left. We called Verizon and ordered a new phone. Even though it's under warranty, she wasn't able to replace it with another Galaxy S3 carried by the store. Unfortunately, from what we've found online, anything on the internal memory is gone. Contact info. is replaceable. All the amazing pictures from the week are not. BUT, to be positive, at least I'll never not take the time to figure out my save-settings again. Soon I'll have a new phone, and I'll never have to return to this Verizon location if something goes wrong with it. read more

This store was like a breath of fresh air after a horrible experience with the Cameron Park Verizon authorized retail store. They went above and beyond to get me what I needed and I walked out with the exact devices and plan I was requesting. I am a long time ATT customer who also needed a couple devices with Verizon and Placerville store made it happen after I had managed to get my online order somehow flagged by their fraud department which made Placerville work a bit harder to bring the transaction back together. What a joke this store is! We had the displeasure of working with Ms. Lopes- who, according to her nametag, is the store's assistant manager. SHOCKING that this woman would ever be in management of any kind! My husband had upgraded his phone two days before at a kiosk in the mall and was told if he took his phone into an actual store location, they would be able to move his contacts from one phone to another. The assistant manager said "well, I'll try, but none of my cables have been working lately so I probably can't help you." She then proceeded to try about 7 different able cords to plug my husband's old phone in. She told him there was something wrong with his phone and it wasn't working. We then plugged my iPhone in. It didn't work either. Nothing wrong with our phones, it was her cords. When she realized that, she proceeded to curse under her breath about the other store employees (super professional). She tried a few more minutes and another clerk came over to ask if she was still using the machine she was on. She snapped at him that she was still using it, but it wasn't working anyway so he should tell his customer that they couldn't help him. Hmm. She then handed my phone hastily back to my husband and said "well, if you want to come in at another time when I'm not busy I could try to manually move your contacts, but I can't right now." There was only us- and one other customer in the store. Sorry she was so "busy" trying to help..... us??? She cursed a couple more times before we left. It was the most shocking experience I've ever had in a retail store. I felt like we were being punk'd. No possible way ANYONE in any type of retail position (let alone management) would ever speak to their customers like this.... Ditch this associate! She is HORRIBLE for this Verizon store!
